I want this sound on loop. 2020 already seems like the end of the world, might as well have a soundtrack to go with it lol
It's perfect
First Contact sound: Prepare for what is coming...
That's the same sound I make everytime I pay $8 to cross the bridge.
@Eye Bee Bak When I was in college I had to break up with a guy who lived on the other side of the Outerbridge Crossing. I was in school full-time and wasn’t working so I could barely pay the $$ to get across the bridge. I told him he was geographically undesirable 🤣🤣
@@Dem0nD0ll oh my god, geographically undesirable lolll
It cost 8 damn dollars!!! Thats fuckin robbery
Okay children, lets get in our car, close our eyes, and drive straight to Silent Hill!
Lmao yes.
Was just there this evening wondering what it was! My sister could also hear it from home and we live in Sunset! So weird but also kinda beautiful!!
I'm in the Outer Sunset and I do not hear it.
I had to turn the radio off. Genuinely thought something was wrong with my car yesterday.
yikes
I've spent a lot of money on CD's that sound just like this.
I hope someone makes a 6-hour recording of the drone before they screw it up by fixing it.
"Screw it up by fixing it" sounds = vibrations, the redesign is currently wearing away at the bridges lifetime so it's probably inevitable unless the city is willing to spend money constantly repairing it just for a tourist spot.
@@foxzo9356: Compared to cars driving over it, I think that being a wind instrument is putting very little strain on the bridge. This was caused by the installation of new railings, which aren’t load bearing or anything.
@@ericssmith2014 While you're probably right, Tacoma Narrows Bridge is an example as to why you need to be cautious with vibrations in large structures
I want your playlist :)
@@ericssmith2014 it's the vibrations getting absorbed into the bridge and the supports at extremely loud volumes that is causing the damage, not the wind. If you're able to feel tremors from someone playing music at full volume all over a house, imagine one that has enough energy to be heard from such a long distance. That alone would easily cause more structural integrity damage than supporting the weight of vehicles, which is what the bridge is designed to do in the first place.
I heard it loud and clear when walking in the sunset yesterday.
What sounds like an alien invasion from the movie War of the Worlds is actually now a permanent creepy 3-tone dissonant soundtrack flooding San Francisco. Is all thanks to engineers that designed new sides for the sidewalk on the bridge to help with wind resistance but they “didn’t consider the sound it would create” when wind interacted with the surface.
But they solved the problem they were tasked with
new aphex twin sounds amazing
Haha. I saw a positive news report saying it was a relaxing sound.
I love this sound
I would have to hear it live but I kinda like the sound so far
US engineering
I hope somebody manages to get a clean sample of this before it gets fixed.
They don’t plan to fix it. They are pretending that it’s a feature
imagine being on the bridge at night and hearing this......O.O i know its just the wind but it still sounds spooky!! tell the little kids of San Fran how the Golden Gate ghosts are out to play tonight!! im sure they will fall for it! 🤣
That gave me goosebumps!
The Eerie sounds... taking into consideration the many suicides that have occured on that bridge.
RIP.
Very true!
They just put new slates in the guard rails that make this noise very recently. Before this and the majority of the suicides, this did not happen on the bridge
Lol
Good job recording. Can here the sounds pretty good.
Now it's nearly impossible for any suicidal to change their mind while on the bridge, because hearing this for another 30 minutes while walking back seems like torture.
I will never sleep again if I had to hear this shit every night!
That’s the sound of 5G waves xD
I'd be worried about it doing damage to the bridge. Like when you hit a certain pitch and the wine glass breaks.
the cables are actually made of glass
Nobody thought about the WIND in SF? LOL!
コレはこれで、なんかイイんじゃね?
面白い音が鳴ってるし、このタイミングで通過できれば、幸せじゃん?
Beautiful sound :)
Like wolves howling or ghosts singing or something :)
If it only happens on rare occasions I would vote they let it remain in place.
It will be less beautiful for the nearby residents at 2am on day 150 :)
They should really figure out what frequency it's putting out and the amount of vibration being exacted on the structure.
I'd be worried about it doing damage to the bridge. Like when you hit a certain pitch and the wine glass breaks.
Somebody didn't do enough math.
Yo. They’re gonna need to fix this.
They are pretending it wasn’t a mistake and saying it’s a feature. Wonder how many lawsuits before they change their minds 🤔
Kristin Marie still annoying
True
Sounds like the intro to a Pink Floyd album
It's the sound of the souls of those who have jumped off the bridge XD
This is an extreme bungle. It's completely unacceptable. It needs to be torn down and rebuild. The politicians should pay for the damage.
nice soundart.
Apparently this is due to wind passing through guard rails.
MY ASSSSS THERES AN GODZILLA UNDER THAT BRIDGE ON THE WATER
Godzilla will not be able to bear that sound.
its casually summoning siren head dont worry
Its relaxing
Oh No. That would drive me crazy. How could they fuck up like this?
But has this had happened before?
Aeolian Bridge Harp!
Sounds ethereal
matches my tinnitus now you know why people that suffer from tinnitus commit suicide.
Damm thats supper scary! I have heard stories
Reminds me of those fake „Sky sounds“ which where almost entirely ripped off of a video from a concrete floor construction. Fooled me once in a lifetime, but hearing this day in and out would annoy me to death
Has this ever occurred before?
Yo Heres the whole timeline of 2020
January: KObes Death/WW3 talks
Febuary: Urkaine plane crash/ UFO sightings
MArch: COvid-19 pandemic
April: Killer Hornets
May: George Floyds Death
June: Golden Gate bridge is dying
why ppl be driving in the middle lane
BridgeSings?
Why do people seem to be so upset about this? This is beautiful. And while I haven't visited, I would imagine that the bridge is not a particularly quiet spot in any case with the wind, traffic et cetera.
It’s just the wind blowing through it
OMG how do you know ??? You must be a genius
The souls of the deceased are possessing the bridge as they are begging for someone to release them
I wonder if this could be harmful to marine life?
I'd be worried about it doing damage to the bridge. Like when you hit a certain pitch and the wine glass breaks.
@Kristin Marie Do you know what is the resonant frequency of the guardrail and the span and where you can find this info? Also what energy threshold is required for damage to the guardrail/bridge and if there's a formula to find the energy given frequency?
@@IdahoPohTaToh Cannot drink and drive.
Not really.
Wow, freaky! Sounds as if the vehicle is driving over old school steel riveted bridge road deck. You know the kind, right? You’re driving along and the tires suddenly start whistling. You look out & see through the road deck to the water or terrain far below. Instant nausea. Vomit inducing.
That's so scary
Minecraft cave sounds
That wasn't very loud at all and I'm wearing headphones, what are you talking about?
sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2020/06/06/wind-baffles-on-golden-gate-bridge-creates-loud-humming-music-sound-heard-for-miles/ - It's clearly audible from miles away. Residents as far away as Oakland can hear it. Microphone was auto-gain enabled which levels off the excessive decibels in this recording. It was actually deafening and inescapable.
@Kristin Marie I've not been there. But I could imagine the actual loudness to depend on the wind speed and direction. So it might be deafening one day (or even hour) and hardly audible, if at all, on another day ...
@Kristin Marie This person differs. twitter.com/markkrueg/status/1269073081231740928
It's a giant flute
And a giant fluke.
Use the right lane, though.
In the US this isn't mandatory like in Germany. And at least in California I had the impression people were choosing their lanes as they saw fit. If in Rome, do like Romans do ...
This is what happens when the city tries to save hundreds of thousands on a project with a high school engineer, so they can pocket the rest of the money for some high cost ice cream and general city hall bribery...
Trumpets
These tibetan monks with the singing bowls are annoying yes!!!
Yo vengo por Wefere xdxd
It sounds to me like distant trumpets or shofars,.calling an evil city to repentance.
If there was ever a sodam and ghamora it would be sf or vegas
It's the ghost of all the people who committed suicide jumping off the bridge.
