I can see this being band from basically every online server. This thing in the hands of even a mildly competent pilot is just crazy strong.
It honestly isn't as amazing as people think. The 262 alone cannot get a kill if the opponent knows the slightest of what they are doing. All they have to do is break one way and the 262 has no chance. That said the 262 is amazing because it's hard to get killed in, but again, its hard to get kills in.
In combat there are disadvantages and advantages to every plane to say one is overpowered is giving that plane to much credit its the man behind the machine that matters not the machine. So it won't be banned unfortunately it will be used but dare i say in during the 262 takeoff run every prop driven plane has a 30 min advantage to shoot it down its takes an assload of time to gain speed and if you play your cards right a watch out for it you will be fine in every damn airplane in the game regardless of type be it p47 or i-16
it's a support fighter, just like p-47 and i-16. it excels in bouncing on unaware targets in the heat of the fight, rather than flying 1vs1.
it's ahead of it's time though, so i hope the servers will limit it's numbers to even the power balance. maybe something like 1 to every 10 russian pilots would be reasonable.

@@DerKurfuerst and you loved at me back then, you thats the safe sim approved landing approach für the 262. i am sure its somewhere in the pilot handbook as well. "steel your bellies, this aircraft doesnt need any landing gear"

They really need to buff the audio, its so quiet.
He most likely has ingame audio turned down for the sake of being able to hear on discord. At default it can get pretty loud
@@scallie6462 I usually remix the sound for videos. Making the engine a bit louder. The Me 262 is especially inflight a quiete aircraft compared

Hey Sheriff, could you take a look at the yak-7b, especially its energy retention? I'm not one to immediately scream bias but something seems very odd with that plane when flying it and against it.

There is a manual to use the AFN-2 on the Me 262?
If the large pointer, points left, fly right and vice versa to fly back to the closest friendly airfield with a radio beacon.
@@SheriffsSimShack So the larger pointer have to point straight toward? Does it work at any altitude? Dankeseher
@@tonykeith76 The pointer has to be alined with the gauges 6 o'clock (the marking) and yes works for any alt.

what was your max safe speed in a dive?
Structually like 1000kph. But higher up you get into the mach tuck problem earlier. But not close to the deck.
@@SheriffsSimShack After tens of thousend of hours in Sims and thousend of deaths you guys are simply too good! ;) No pilot in 45 would have dared that flashing attack at the end. Or does Il2 still have some issues modeling acceleration and overspeed like 20 years ago?
Not to my knowledge.
Without airplanes that are not rivals for this bug, I get rid of the desire to fly, in the maps of 45, they should limit it to only a bomber, until some more or less worthy airplane comes out against this bird. It does not stop being a nice video, but it only has fun on the 262. It can only be shot down when it lands with too much co-ordination and sometimes not even that, when it's 2 me262 it's an abuse.
I believe the match for this jet would be the p51 but even that would be a stretch. As this game is a simulator and meant to be historically accurate the 262 has no equal in both speed and power, its main drawback is its turning time which in most cases is how it got shot down. Pilots who were used to the manuverability of a prop tried to apply the same to the 262 and immidiately got pumped full of .50 cal rounds due to the mustang being able to pull lead on them, but seeing as most pilots in il-2 seem to have learned the mistakes of the luftwaffe many stick to purely B&Z tactics leading to the jet being completely untouchable in the hands of a competent pilot and as you said it can really only be reliable shot down on landing or takeoff so until the mustang makes its appearance, this thing rules the skies.
@@riptoor2183 well if they didnt stick so close to reality the Meteor was also operational +- at the same time as 262 was (according to wiki entered service 3 months after the 262) ... would be nice match between the two i would say. Sadly Brits were so scared to use the jets over German territory they held theyr best planes back for nearly whole rest of the war and never would have given them to Russians :)

And now no Online Server allows to use the Me-262! It is like we now don't allow the Allies to fly the P-51 - Because it is too fast! How big would be the Crying?
CB allows the 262 regularly. Get your fucking tin foil hat off. This was even recorded on CB. And the 262 should be hardly as common as a 51.
@@SheriffsSimShack Last time I looked - None allowed it! Dora was even limitted to 4 Planes while there where 16 P-51 allowed. I mean while it is realistic and all, it takes alot of Fighting Power from the Axis!
Its not on all missions but enough...
And the D-9 is available on most missions too. Quantities vary. D-9 entered servers much later than the 51 D. CB reflects that
The only possible plane that could match it is the Gloster Meteor so until then the 262 will be the obvious MP meta for the duration the the Great Battles series
Yeah i hope and i believe that there won't be a meteor. Since air combat never happened with the meteor.
And i believe that the 262 isnt going to change the gameplay too much since servers are limiting the aircraft and it has to be used in a skillful way to exploit the strengths.

Moscow is just a map in the game. So the maps can used by mission creators like they please. Be it placing me262s over mozhaisk or putting i-16s over Köln. Or creating historically accurate settings.
Additionally I believe that back then then we had no western Europe map.but the plane wss released.
