I took a flight across the country in the PA28 to get breakfast at the second busiest GA airfield in the UK. Don't forget to hit subscribe for more flying videos!
Absolutely fascinating watching GA operations in the UK. I have a number of friends in the US who fly similar aircraft in the Midwest. The times I have gone with them on flights I enjoy listening, watching, and learning about GA procedures, skyways and equipment in the US. I'm doing the same with your flights. A first-rate video, mate! I have been watching your travel channel and found this one from your link. I'm now a subscriber!
Lovely little video Noel, you know Tollerton well but I guess you have flown by loads of times and missing out on great bacon baps! Just when you thought it was safe to go to Turweston! You are video bombed by that great man from the Flying Reporter!
That sandwich looked yummy. Enjoy the night training. Night flying is a blast! The basic instrument training you already possess will make the training easier.
Hey Noel, dunno if you'd be interested, but a series on breakfast airfields across the UK would be cool I reckon. Maybe you could do them in alphabetical order, but if you do, could you give me a heads up on when you visit Wellesbourne? Would love to have a chat (in a very non creepy way lol). Also, the AV8 cafe at Kemble is amazing, they still do an all day 'Negus' breakfast, and if you don't fancy that, fish finger sandwich is great too!
Now there's an idea! Thanks for the tips! I nearly visited Wellesbourne on this day but ended up at Turweston as the weather was slightly nicer there. Keep an eye on my Instagram though as I usually post where I'm off to!
Great video, I thoroughly enjoy these flights, it feels as though we have been invited along for a ride and the picture quality is amazing. Thanks again for continuing to post
I didn't realise you are a pilot. Thought you spent all your time flying dodgy airlines! Respect. I'm a pilot too, in the microlight class. Like you say, nothing better than sitting up there at 2000ft.
Great video, Noel. Might be even better if you explained in a little more detail some the of the technical aspects of the radio communications. It might be that I'm just a bit of a nerd!
Great Video Noel - I am from Leicester and also learnt to fly at Leicester airport back in the 80's. How are the flying eyes glasses as I am thinking of getting some?
It's a lovely little airfield. The SkyEcho is brilliant, I had a PilotAware Rosetta before but the SkyEcho is much more polished, and you configure it right in SkyDemon it's so easy.
Not sure if it’s just the way the audio is edited, but you’re saying power set before you’ve set takeoff power etc. Can end up lulling yourself into a false sense of security without proper confirmation of your actions 👍🏻
The “good moaning” as you landed, by the ATC bloke was fantastic. Good old Allo Allo vibes.

Thank you! Flying in the UK is definitely unique compared to other countries. We have some unique procedures!

Thanks! The night flying was incredible!
Good luck with the night flying Noel, I enjoy watching the evening circuits from my house. Hope it goes well for you.
Nice video Noel...you are making me hungry. All the best on your night flying training!
You could do a 3rd channel for your meals. Everything you usually get looks amazing! Hope your flight back was as good as the flight up! Cheers!
To be honest, you only see the fancy stuff. My Greggs sausage rolls or thrown together McMuffins are more of my usual culinary style!

Thanks! Yes it was good and I'm all night rated now! Stay tuned for the video :)
Nice video, definitely one to add to the list. Good luck with the night rating you will really enjoy it.
Always enjoy your Videos Noel. Feels like I'm out flying with you.
Take care, Jeff

Thank you so much! Appreciate the comment!
Just seen this on break at work I'll save it for bed later with a cup of tea and relax 👌
Flyin for breakfast, This is the good life. Good stuff Noel.

Noel, what do you recommend to record cockpit audio? I have a GoPro hero 5.
Im from Leicester! Outside....now!
How much do you pay to land there? Interesting video, thank you.
I LOVE Turweston only 15 mins from Enstone. How are you finding your SkyEcho? I need to get one, still haven’t got round to it. ❤️✈️

@@FlyWithNoelPhilips awesome. I need to fly down to Lee on Solent and pick one up from Transair.
Is that what's called a dead side descent?
Imagine he saw a boeing 747 coming towards him when he was in east Midlands airspace 747s land at East Midlands
Great video Noel, I fly P28 too, what do you use to mount the tablet to the yoke? I am looking but could not find anything solid so far.
Thanks Edward! I use a RAM yoke mount with the iPad attachment.
@@FlyWithNoelPhilips Thank you so much, I'll have a look.
Nice video.
But please change Sky Demon to North up. Drives me mad not seeing east to the east etc.
Could be the start of a new series - which airfield does the best sausage butty 😀
Noel that’s my local airfield would love to meet you come down again im a training student be great to chat and meet you
Where abouts is this?
Turweston Northamptonshire. Near Brackley and Silverstone Race Circuit.
@@sb1056sb is it northamptonshire or buckinghamshire?
@@lukegoffey2868 yes it actually Buckinghamshire but it is bang on the boarder. About 2 miles from Brackley in Northamptonshire.
@@sb1056sb fair enough :)
I’m doing my PPl at turweston
Everybody should simonize their planes as often as you Limeys.
You could have stopped off at Melton Mowbray to pick up a pork pie
Yesss! ITS A COB
A breakfast with a massive carbon footprint.
Am I correct in saying I didn't see any flaps on take off?
Correct, we don't use them in the Warrior unless we're doing a short field takeoff.
Cheers for replying Noel
Jury's a bit out re flying a plane with reduced blood sugar.
Just a spoon or two of cottage cheese with Sea Salt & Cayenne is all I'm advocating.
You shouldn’t be flying on an empty stomach you could faint & parcel the kite into the deck .
...salad with a Sausage Sandwich???

First view :)
That ok
Doing all you can I see for the world problem of global warming.
Noel, you really need to sound assertive when you say "clear prop" it's not for your benefit !
Bit wimpish isn't it?
