Thats actually a video idea for you, put your own survival kit together and take it into the woods and see how good you do with it. Keep it simple like the one you had, only what fits in your pocket, but this time you will know you at least have quality line and hooks. You can even make multiple videos where you try one out and then try another one with what you learned from the first one. Food for thought anyway.
I laughed when you were spinning around and it said “dramatization”. It’s a good idea to put together an emergency survival kit. Including different size hooks. Fun to watch.
Great change of pace video. While doing an early spring landscaping project with my buddy he thought I was nuts for slowing us down...at first. After we laid out 250 blocks making 3 retaining walls the bonus was the 2 dozen worms for bait. Thanks for sharing John
Try the (SOL scout survival kit) its on Amazon i buy it for the scouts in my town. Its a great kit. You should do a overnight camping video catch and cook would definitely be awesome.
Hilarious, I love this "Not Naked and Afraid" spin ! Laughter is good for the heart. Change up can be a good thing. Keep making videos by being yourself.
It is nice to have make believe time...I have a story to tell from 20 years ago that really happened..over a 3 or 4 month period. Where all I ate was fish..maybe one day I will re create it. Lol8
Best...ending...yet. That was hilarious. Good learning opportunity for you and others. It's not as easy to survive as they make it look on TV. LOL! Thanks for the fun video.
john, get a fanny pack and make your own survival kit. if you use a match book as a fishing line wrap around for enough line with a hook on the end all you will need is stick and bugs or worms. get 2 y sticks to hold small green limb to cook fish over fire, your baggies to collect bugs can also hold salt and pepper. drinking straw for filtered water. this video was great fun...loved it.
Great video. Really enjoyed it. Dont feel bad about getting food. The native americans were excellent at survival and most of the time they were starving. Hope you make more like this
Oh gosh...laughing my tail off just at the first intro, John!! But leave it to the anointed fisherman to pull in a 4 ft fish you weren't even trying for...and out of such a little spot yet!! Love the Chick-Fil-A ending... so appropriate!! :-)
That was a great video! You definitely should make more like this. We were using bamboo sticks for fishing growing up in Russia for lack of better stuff. Now I'm your fellow Tennesseean! By the way, even small fish like that is good enough to make some soup if you have a pot.
I live in kodak About 4 miles from douglas dam/french broad and 5 from holston. I would love to meet up ome day and show you some places some I've fished and some I havent . Creek fishing is my favorite thing to do. I could give you my email or something. I love the verses in the video so it makes my day i wanted to thank you for that also. Anyway good work keep it up. I pray the lord my soul to keep His name and word I shall teach when I preach Blue waters deep tall trees of green red when Jesus speaks Lakes and Rivers are not for me When I go fishing I prefer the kreek
John, the gerber gator is a good knife, but you should upgrade to a spyderco paramilitary 2. The steel is good, so it'll hold an edge longer, its also stainless, plus its lighter. It has high traction G10 on the grip, and it has a strong locking mechanism, Or a benchmade griptillian, has the same steel as the spyderco, it's even lighter than the spyderco, and the locking mechanism is way stronger. The Benchmade is also cheaper. Both of these are great outdoors pocket knives.
John, you design your perfect SURVIVAL KIT. What would you put in it? After fishing as much as you do, what are your Must haves, in a small kit. Yes we saw your over the shoulder bags, but what must haves in a pocket size pouch?
Its not as easy at it looks on RUclips but there are a few of us that actually live with very little in the bush.one of the things I teach in my school is wilderness living, not survival but actual living in the bush.
I missed the beginning the first time watching! For a guy who has all the good equipment, it was funny to see John spend his valuable time attempting to "survive" out in the "creek woods." Excellent video, entertaining - I can see myself doing these things, and eating at my favorite fast food restaurant Chick Filet A!
Dude! Use the Bamboo! USE THE BAMBOO!!! Why am I being so dramatic? Because Bamboo (As everybody knows, or should know), is stronger than regular wood. You'll get much more flex, and staying power, out of a bamboo rod. Catching that Gar must've been quite a shock. Can't believe you got your hook back! All in all, it was a great video. I'll give you a 9.5 out of 10. You did a great job.
Been watching you from the get go....and that's why the intro made me laugh so hard. Going all new for the fans...I freaking love it man. Your the king
If it was truly a survival situation you could eat those small bream you caught. I have an Altoids tin I made up just for such a situation. Also any survival fishing kit should have both hooks and at least two small flies.
I known a old man whom has passed years ago and when he would go fishing he'll keep the little ones like the fish you're throwing back. He would clean them and his wife would cook them, you would think there was no meat on them but you'll be surprised.
Hey, John...how about a video of you eating the worms?! They're so good the fish eat them, and they got lots of protein! ( So I am told! :-) Hahaha! Great stuff, Bro!
Love your videos, my son and I are in the Smoky Mountains Tennessee and he would like to know if you have any ideas of Creeks near pigeon Forge that we could fish? Thank you
13:55. John knows how to entertain us. Everybody gets a kick out of his inevitable snacking during a fishing trip!

I was thinking the same
I’m so into this, in just the first minute! This might be shaping up to be my favorite video from your channel!
The pinnacle of man " ooooo there's a worm , OH and another one"
I laughed when you were spinning around and it said “dramatization”. It’s a good idea to put together an emergency survival kit. Including different size hooks. Fun to watch.
This is exciting & different, you did good, glad Chik Filet came to the rescue 🐟💠
I don’t know… that muskrat looked mighty edible!🤣.
I read the same verse today!
Dude that Creek Fishing Adventure looks like a typical summer day for me during my teens. Wish it could still be!
Same here. The good ole days.
#60👍🏻🎣👀
Dude, just pick some Doritos off of the Frito-Lay tree and then drink at the spring of Mountain Dew. Boom! Fat
LOL!!
John this was hilarious and we all know you weren't out there for long before you got hungry lol. 👍
Great change of pace video. While doing an early spring landscaping project with my buddy he thought I was nuts for slowing us down...at first. After we laid out 250 blocks making 3 retaining walls the bonus was the 2 dozen worms for bait. Thanks for sharing John
These kind of videos are awesome Dude we love them continue making them
You’re walking in the woods
There’s no one around and your phone is dead
Out of the corner of your eye you spot him: CreekFishingAdventures
Love this! Funny, but I can't picture you going anywhere without a rod and hellgrammite! LOL
Kinda feel the same way. Without those implements, it just ain't the same!
This was so great! And also I love how much everyone else loved it. Your videos are gold and this iteration was so good. Can’t wait for the next one.
I thought you were going to jump in and go Rambo on that muskrat.
Try the (SOL scout survival kit) its on Amazon i buy it for the scouts in my town. Its a great kit. You should do a overnight camping video catch and cook would definitely be awesome.
Nice change of pace. I always encourage exploration.
AMEN! Maybe make up your own survivor kit. In starving times, that 4 foot Gar would have been a GOD send!
Hilarious, I love this "Not Naked and Afraid" spin ! Laughter is good for the heart. Change up can be a good thing. Keep making videos by being yourself.
I have I admit. I wasn't expecting this. But I truly enjoyed it.
I’ve been waiting for one of these videos for a while!
Please do more of these! They are very entertaining
It is nice to have make believe time...I have a story to tell from 20 years ago that really happened..over a 3 or 4 month period. Where all I ate was fish..maybe one day I will re create it. Lol8
Tell the truth, you’d never survive without Mountain Dew 🤣😂
Good teaching JOHN , I hope everyone was tough something! GOD BLESS!

Ok...i.get it...never fish too far from a Chic fil a. .you know.....just in case 😄
Great video. Really enjoyed it. Dont feel bad about getting food. The native americans were excellent at survival and most of the time they were starving. Hope you make more like this

The mad man finally did it. Haha. Thanks for listening to your fans and making this one.
That was super fun to watch! Great idea!
That was an awesome video! So much fun to watch!
I saw fixins for gar and muskrat sandwiches! A local fave up here in McMinn! Fun video John, nice change of pace. Congrats on 90k
Oh John! That was a fun video! Thanks for that! Made my day!
Spoiler alert...John starves 😞 lol
That was a great video! You definitely should make more like this. We were using bamboo sticks for fishing growing up in Russia for lack of better stuff. Now I'm your fellow Tennesseean! By the way, even small fish like that is good enough to make some soup if you have a pot.
Good thing there’s always a Chick fil a down stream. Lol. Great video. Keep them lines tight. 🎣

Literally my favorite channel

Yes we saw your over the shoulder bags, but what must haves in a pocket size pouch?
Save the bag and put the worms in your shirt pocket lol.
Really fun video to watch. Glad you were lost in paradise. But seriously great video. Thank you Sir.
Nice a bear grillz episode!! Love it. Keep it fresh john!!
I've wanted a video like this from you!!!! You nailed it dude!!!!
Very cool I like the video. Hope you can do more survival videos. Keep up the good work brother.
This is Hilarious man. So true fishing is tough sometimes. When you said at the end well this is all I got to eat, then “chick fil a”. Good stuff! 🤣

The intro was great mainly because I have been in that situation unfortunately not as nearly prepared
Awesome video!
A new type of challenge. A little more experience and you'll be right up there with the rest of the mountaineers.
That intro was nice, felt like a movie.
Sorry to know you would have been starving. What a fun idea and a great video!
Awesome video man 😀🔥👍👍

Man that Gar would be some good eating.
That was a fun video and real. We who want to be prepared just have to keep a better kit. God bless
This is awesome john now this is going to get some peoples attention. Thanks for the content. God speed
I love watching your videos John

"shouldve brought sth to dig with."*pullingoutknifeanddig "Oh, there is a worm, shoot: now its two..."
Love it. Had me laughing. Want to see God's sense of humor, tell Him what your plans are.
This was an awesome video, very entertaining man!
That was funny. And you almost did it...LOL God Bless AND GO KATS!!!!!
I known a old man whom has passed years ago and when he would go fishing he'll keep the little ones like the fish you're throwing back. He would clean them and his wife would cook them, you would think there was no meat on them but you'll be surprised.
Love the intro 😂
Make your own survival kit. And, go figure you caught a Gar. It was fun and Chick Fillet-A is always good.
John is gonna do a catch and cook? 😲
Keep in mind, receipt paper sticks to blood REALLY quick, I found out by mistake crossing a barbed wire fence
Oh yeah do more of these for sure!
Love the mix up in videos!
ANOTHER good one my friend!
Good video man. I enjoyed that.
That was funny..... Oh that turned out good... oh... this is Chik-filet.
Not sure how I’m just seeing this one lol. But this was hilarious 😂 👍🏼👍🏼
Hey, John...how about a video of you eating the worms?! They're so good the fish eat them, and they got lots of protein! ( So I am told! :-) Hahaha! Great stuff, Bro!
Keep making this type plz
Awesome premise for a video!!!
It was a good try, maybe you could try this challenge again sometime.
Fun video. If you were really lost you would not starve. At least not right away.
This was a "Discovery Channel" non naked and afraid rendition lol
Hahaha, that intro was great. Fun video, too!
Outstanding!!!👍🏼
The first 10 seconds are worth the entire video lol
Great video John > it was funny but that could be a real situation really fast ..
Cool challenge, Catch and Cool Gar? 😂
Thank you for the bible verses at the end! I love God! God is great!
That gar would make a sammich
Awesome video John honestly I could lose a few pounds. Love it
Love your videos, my son and I are in the Smoky Mountains Tennessee and he would like to know if you have any ideas of Creeks near pigeon Forge that we could fish? Thank you
The creek in pigeon forge
There's one on the way to Cades Cove which is beautiful
@@johnbubbajohnson5630
We’re going to Cade’s Cove this morning. Will check it out.
Thx
You're welcome and great luck fishing
You had me rolling at the end. I needed a good belly laugh. 😂😂😂😂
Don't feel to bad I watched an episode of Bear Grills and he tried to catch fish in a similar fashion but he didn't catch anything at all 😆
I really enjoyed this lol
