I don't think most people thought that Anne Hathaway would break the stereotype of the Princess Diaries and Ella Enchanted to become such an accomplished and versatile actor. What a great forum Variety has provided to listen to the candor between two great actors.
The world really keep attempting to increase the popularity of mental Illness. It is absolutely disgusting the way they do by knowingly pushing it onto people lives with false descriptions & products even when particular individuals do not have one.
This was one hour of Anne and Hugh providing peer reviewed analysis of why the other is amazing and talented and I’m here for it
Hugh's 2008 Oscar opening performance was the greatest of all time (written by Dan Harmon!) , and Anne Hathaway was a big part of it , she absolutely killed the absurdity of the bit and belted like a champ .

I love how they talked about mental health. The same mental disorder doesn't present the exact same way for every person, but there are similar behaviors for each disorder. Displaying mental health disorders is all about respect. Some people have severe cases others have mild cases.

So Anne Hathaway hosting the Oscars wasn't nearly as bad as she thinks it was. James Franco was dreadful and I think probably killed the entire show but Anne was great! I think she needs to give herself a little more credit.

"How's it been for you?" Hugh is one of those rare souls who always genuinely sounds as if he wants, even needs, the answer to that question.
He was the best host Oscars ever had. His opening number to everything in 2009 Oscars was amazing and it all got really lucky for Kate Winslet and she finally won her Oscar that year

Yeah, someone on my Facebook is a bit of a shit-fit over this.
They're really that bored. But some articles covered how AH was asked by Nolan to be agile enough to do her own stunts on TDKR.
Joking about it is fine. But anyone who dislikes it heavily needs to really get a grip. It's not like he does not allow breaks or sitting down in general. The fact that legitimate film critics jumped on that thought train makes me very unhappy, especially given how they were missing essential information (that rule is really only for Nolan himself, I checked Matthew Modine's similar comments and he said basically the same thing)

Hopingover Leavesinfall yeah, his representative confirmed it. He doesn't have directors chairs around the monitors but that's it. Anyone can sit anywhere. It's more he doesn't allow phones on set, like Tarantino. I think that focuses the entire personnel to be engaged with the project.

I just want to say that I have been privileged to watch a good number of the Actor on Actor interviews. This, however, was a TOTALLY different ballgame. Hugh and Anne clearly DO love each other..it comes across so vividly in the conversation and is so charming and endearing. They respond to each other so naturally and generously...I found it totally disarming!. By FAR my favourite interview so far...❤
If you haven't seen Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson that one is also very good because they clearly love eachother.

I like the "no phones on set" mentality. If you're getting paid for a job, you don't get to be on your phone except of you're on break. It should go for any job, even if you're a celebrity
While a great idea in principle, it would be tough for most actors though. They have long days and lots and lots of waiting time, doing nothing while everyone else is setting things up. Actors constantly say you can get really bored on a set.

Me too. When I'm at work, people get annoyed with me when I don't answer their calls or their texts. I get paid to work, not be on my phone.

Anne had one of the best portrayals of bipolar mania that I have ever seen. Both the super happy sparkle and how it is really troublesome parts of it. I've never seen a portrayal of mania that felt so genuine.
That Intro was all I needed.
Darn right there's a stigma. Very few people know that I struggle with severe depression. I realized years ago that people will assume that you are "crazy" and give you the side-eye when they find out so I learned to only trust a few people with that issue. Also, it definitely presents differently for different people. When I'm depressed, I don't lay in bed. I am highly functional so I can go to work, put on a happy face, and get work done. However, when I get home, I cry sporadically and have zero motivation to get anything done around the house. I feel overwhelmed and can't make any decisions about what to do first. The hardest part is trying to make plans. I never know when the dark clouds are going to gather over my head and rob me of my energy.
I came here for Hugh, but loving the admiration they have or each other. I am enjoying Actors on Actors 😍😍

I feel like I've been gifted a glance into the realness of what being an actor is for them (also have gotten some great book, Netflix, movie, TV references that have been amazing during this pandemic). Makes me wish I had pursued acting! So insightful and real.

Thus, I predict the continuing ... most treasured actors and actresses that can establish global block buster appeal will tend to be those with cross mixtures of professional training.
I can't wait to see Anne and Hugh paired in global franchises of movie roles showing their diversity through writer collaborations of unique characters.
Musical movies, operatic cinema, grassroot horrors, epic sci-fi and drama are phasing out the superhero 2000 to 2019 trends.
