You dont have to remove the bracket only the fuel pump. Just remove the studs one by one and the manifold comes out saves a lot of time. Learned that trick from one mechanic that has so much expertise in JTD engines
@@ItaliaAutos Yes there is a room you start from the gearbox side and move on to the pump, you have to splice the manifold little by little. The studs are removed by big plumber wrench
Just a question: Is this problem just for the models of 2006 to 2008 or is the problem with the swirl flaps and the AGR for the facelift models too? I am just thinking if I will need to remove my AGR and put some blanking planks there and if I have to clean my Swirl Flap Manifold and to delete the flaps.
the best Alfa channel ever!
Yeah I’ll save up and leave it to the experts 🤣. Nice how-to though Neil as usual 👍

On the 2.4 you do as there's just not enough room. 1.9 you don't

@borcemitev2903 yeah but 2 min for the bolts on the manifold.
Is it the same procedure for the 4-pot Neil? I’m not sure I want to do it myself! 😄
Yeah but its easier on the 4 pot as the mount for the injection pump doesn't need removing.
how easy is it to get in with a probe inspection camera to see if your car has already had a swirl pot delete?
You can see it by looking at the top of the inlet, if you still have the rales there you don't have the delete done

yes
Salve quanto costa a rimuovere le swirl di una croma 150 cv? Grazie
Great video, just one question do the flaps need to be also coded out?
Usually just remove /blank them off and leave the electronic actuator connected so the car doesn't know any different
Is it the same on 1.9 JTDM Plastik Manifold?
Almost the same
Neil, I just got a 2.4 and it needs a cam belt. How much is it for both the belt and the flaps doing from you?
Hi best to send me an email italiaautoparts@sky.com
i need your help which engine is better the 1.9 or 2.4 diesel i do need lower but don't want to go under 40 mpg?
Go for the 1.9 cheaper to maintain and more mpg.
Frend: one question: 159 1.9 jtd, do have a need to remove or clean dpf?? Is it a self clean dpf or i need to clean it or remove it 😅😅😅
If car us used correctly no removal is needed car does it automatically.
Thank you for advice 👍👌
Looks like a pain in the backside even with the engine out of the car, can imagine what fun it would be if it was still in the car.
i must chamge this.
but i need information!! i must open timebelt??
Yes, you need to remove the timing belt and fuel pump
@@KartCentral other day i change ... i dont open time belt.
i open just dumper.radiator.. and intercooper.. and turbo.
So not a very easy job to just pop the manifold off and give it a clean?
Not one for an amateur I’m afraid.
Кароче на автомобиле этого не сделать.
Total pain in the a....
