AMERICAN REACTS TO DERRY GIRLS FOR THE FIRST TIME!
Derry Girls follows a group of fifth-year students at Our Lady Immaculate College as they navigate the delicate inner workings of teenhood. The main four girls fall in love, squabble with fellow students, and get blamed for the death of a 98-year-old nun.

Derry Girls has gone completely over her head, bless.
I know I'm hear a year later, but the "one of them sounds Irish" took me out
Its set in Derry in Northern Ireland, in the 90's. None of the cast are American
* Londonderry 🇬🇧
@@rorypower7567 no
Yes 🇬🇧
@@rorypower7567 prod
It’s called Derry Girls not Londonderry girls🤣🤣🤣😊
I honestly don’t know if half of the video is her pretending to not know what they’re saying or actually not knowing what they’re saying because their accent is actually pretty clear
Nobody in this show is American and we don't have gardens with mountains and fields unless you're upper class.
That's not true ... I'm Irish and I'm not upper class but I've got mountains behind my house.
@@theeggtimertictic1136 me too 🥰
You do realise that the office is a British comedy written by Ricky gervais and Stephen merchant from 2001,there are several Irish accents some softer than others
Yeah yeah yeah. Still like the American version 👍😅
@@FavourInternational I never liked the office. never seen US version. But Ricky Gervais is great in standup.
Yeah tbf American version is better
From a British perspective
@@damianpritchard1456 US version is rubbish
Them comparing Catholics & protestants is the funniest scene
all schools in the UK have uniforms, not just the private schools. And in the UK a public school is an expensive elite fee paying school. The rest of us go to state funded school or comprehensive school. I went to a Catholic school run by Nuns and Monks, and its funding was covered by the state.
"I wouldn't rule it out, son" is what he says.
You need to react to more derry girls (maybe some longer scenes) they’re hilarious
All British schools have uniforms (at least up to what in the US would be 10th grade). The same is true in much of Africa, India, Korea, Pakistan, China, Japan, Australia, etc, etc. It engenders school spirit and lessens the opportunity for rich kids to fashion-shame kids from more modest homes.
All schools in northern Ireland have uniforms starting from Nursery School right up to Upper 6th.
This is a very poorly edited compilation.
The show deserves better.
agreed
I absolutely love Derry Girls and I'm so sad season 3 is almost over since that will be the last season. I always feel so bad for James being the only boy in the group and being English on top of that but I really hope that James and Erin get together in the end although I doubt that as a possibility as there's only one episode left. If you liked this Skins seasons 1-2 (maybe 3) are really good, seasons 4-7 are god awful.
They all sound Irish cause they are Irish all of the accents except James our Irish
In 5:48, he said "I wouldnt rule it out son".
It's not a private School. Sister Micheal is the school principal. The scene were they are in the car in the middle of an orange march is funny because they are in danger.
He said "I wouldn't rule it out son" 😂
It was partly the Irish that emigrated to America that gave that country's accent its distictive 'twang'.
I love Derry Girls its so nice to hear a selection of Northern Irish accents (mainly Derry I hope) on our TV. BTW ignore what Sister Michael says Belfast is a welcoming historic city well worth a visit.
What about the polar bears?
The series is set in the late 90s when there was a lot of violence in Belfast
Why do you take comedy in a straight way it's comedy
I was in a Catholic school in the 90s too so I can relate to Derry Girls I just did grow up in Northern Ireland during the troubles.
Maybe you should check out a video about the troubles if you haven’t already done so?
I love derry girls it’s my favourite show on Netflix
i watched this show last year and it was great. really love the accents they got over there in Ireland 😍😅
The guy is at the girls only school because he's the English cousin of one of the girls (who isn't an American), and they're concerned for his safety at the boys school, on account of the troubles and him being English 😂
"I wouldn't rule that out son"
At 5:49 , the older guy said “I wouldn’t rule it out son”
Maybe use subtitles next time… you seem to miss a lot
8:33 THIS WOMEN JUST SAID SOMETHING THAT WILL CAUSE RIOTS BLESS HER
just letting ya know that 99% of schools in ireland have a uniform, not just catholic schools. Even the poorest public schools in ireland have a uniform, and we only have 50 private schools in all of ireland and around 3000 public schools with 88% of them schools being catholic.
I saw one episode and you’re right it is like the female version of The inbetweeners.
I LOVE THIS SHOW!! ❤️❤️🤣
He says "I WOULDN'T RULE IT OUT SON"
BTW if you find him familiar, he's in Game of Thrones
more reaction of them plz :D
This show is set in the troubles/ Northern Ireland civil conflict. And in third seasons there is leam Neeson. As royal ulster constabulary cheif.
Catholic School, in the UK everyone wears school uniforms
"I wouldn't rule it out, son"
`4:31 Apparently there's someone like Colm there in every family in Northern Ireland. The Republic of Ireland too.
They are not I repeat America how to embarracing
The old guy said "I wouldn't rule it out son"
A term was used, Sweet Fanny Adams, sfa, meaning nothing, if people knew Who origins of the saying "Sweet Fanny Adams" SFA sweet fukc All, was they wouldn't use it,
There's videos on RUclips about the 8 year old girl But it's mindful veiwing very Sad incident
It's really sad, I only found out and it's horrifying 😞
The show just ended 💔 you should definitely react to all of them
The second you said parks and rec I subscribed.
You might wanna have a look at British skint.
I recommend season 2.
It's my home town.
"I wouldn't rule it out"
Fleabag next please?
Derry Girls Rock the Boat is a classic.
what a show
The first season is great. Myself and my GF didnt really like the second season so much and havent seen any of the third yet.
Erm they are Irish not English
They are British
@@sticklebacksummer Irish!!!
@@sticklebacksummer irish mate, except for James. This is Derry you are talking about
Jesus Christ girl!! They are Irish! With an Irish accent.
Pls do a reaction to the pilot episode at least.
You would love Mrs browns boys.
that's a dreadful show.
Tou are lost my wee darl. You need to start from the start. And also do some reasearch into the troubles.
But you need subtitles Favour- even we need subtitles.
Please do a reaction to being human UK
In the UK you'd have an r sound between bra and on so it flows off the tongue better... Braron.
9:12 Her aunt could be talking slow because half the population was on Valium for their nerves at the time of the troubles up North.
Or just the fact that some folk up here speak slowly.
Why are people so salty in the comments lmao, she's one of few americans actually looking into other cultures. She's obvs gonna have a culture shock 😂
