I go to my Commissary as well to get my meats. I do go to Sam's Club to get my ground beef because the Commissary didn't sell family packs but I just went this week and they now have the family pack of ground beef. Glad to see a fellow South Carolinian on RUclips. Thanks for sharing.

Nice video! I needed this. You may want to get a vacuum sealer. If you have a catastrophic failure of the freezer and things start thawing, all those cellophaned burgers and sausages and chicken needs to be assumed to be bad. ONLY IF THEY’RE NOT SOLID. FDA says vacuum-sealed meats, if thawed in a fridge can be refrozen, as long as they haven’t been opened. I’m just lost $300 in meat this weekend, but the rest was bought vacuumed, or I sealed them and froze them at purchase. All my bread veggies and cheese were decimated, plus I found some meats that were unsealed. I’ll never use ziplocks again until I get some more bins to isolate foods.
Great video,l have a freezer like that and it is so good to have.All my meats and chicken are in it and my kitchen freezer just has vegetables and frozen snacks.l keep a list of everything l have and l add when l shop and l subtract when l use it.I shop at the commissary too but not for chuck meat,l get that at Costco. Sorry this is long.

I want a upright deep freezer so bad... BUT... can't justify the purchase of one 😂😂.. Empty Nester 😂😂. I mainly want one because I grew up in a large 🏠 hold and my mother had one...I guess you can say I want an upright deep freezer just for the memories 🤷🏾♀️😂😂...I ❤ the advice of "Keep Your Block 🤞 Strong" 😂😂
BUY IT!!!!!! My husband and I are also empty nesters we use ours for premade meals. Mini meatloaves, lasagna, soups, chillis...etc. They come in handy when I don't feel like cooking but don't want to spend on door dash. I pull one of these out and heat it up.

Something I recently learned, we are supposed to put meats in bags that are just big enough to hold what’s in it… And then you squeeze all of the air out. The bigger the space in the bag, the quicker than meat goes bad and gets freezer burnt.
It won’t matter if all the air is released and it is folded over as you saw in the video. It’s practically the same difference. It has worked for me for years so I will continue to do it that way. I’ve learned that you do what works for you, not what others tell you to do… Thanks for watching!

that is all well and good but thawing is much more difficult and takes a lot longer when the food is bagged up like that instead of on a sheet, so kinda impractical, but pretty :)
That is why you take out whatever meat you want to cook the night before and place it in the fridge to thaw. So this way may be an impractical concept for you to comprehend. 🙂

But if I do comment something that's slightly negative or negative, I try to accompany it with something nice. I can see how it may have sounded passive aggressive or douchey haha but I assure you, it wasn't meant that way :)
