    I think you should make these things on camera and put "How to make..." In your video titles. This would boost your channel significantly. Great video as always

    love your style of taking interesting physical concepts, and finding ways to demonstrate them with cheap and easy to find components.
    No clickbait, no 10 minute backstory, no excessive video editing, just the content and explanation.

    Question:
    All the advice is that these HV devices HATE not having an active spark discharge across the output wires., and will start discharging across windings internally.
    How do you allow for this? Is there enough capacitive coupling between the electrodes you show, so as to keep this internal discharge from happening and destroying the HV module?

  • @j.christie2594
    @j.christie2594 Год назад +2

    Neat project. If you Insulate most of the rod, leaving end bare, you'll create a Variable Ionic wind device.
    Where the uninsulated tip is in the Tube, can make High and Low pressure wind, and clean air while blowing it through.
    Where and What price for the Premade HV Driver unit?
    Keep up your channel, learning from your efforts, Thanks for Teacher's...

    Would this work for odors?

    • @mfbfreak
      @mfbfreak 11 месяцев назад +1

      Not a whole lot - it really needs to be particulate matter, not against smells which are volatile gases. Against smells you can best use activated carbon filters like the ones you find in cooker hoods/extractors that don't have an exhaust to the outside.
      Ozone works well against smells that are 'caught' in furniture and wall paper. However, you must use a high concentration of ozone for that, and it is of great importance that nothing living is in the house at that time. Also, things made out of rubber can be damaged by ozone.
