Happy 2025! That pink lace is gorgeous! I hope the third time is a charm. I look forward to seeing your finished garments! I have three colors of four-ply silk that I’ve had for over thirty years! Most expensive fabric in my stash. My intention was to make suits for work (I worked in a “C suite”), but now I work from home and don’t need much business attire. I have a couple of goals this year-to use up fabric from my stash and NOT to purchase any patterns unless there is a truly fabulous one.
With the vinyl use your walking foot. With the tweed serge the edges immediately after cutting. If don’t have a serger stitch along the edge with a zigzag stitch to keep the tweed in place.
THANK YOU FOR THE TIPS!! I am seriously nervous about tackling those fabrics. I don't have a walking foot yet, but I have heard good things. I guess it's time to invest.
Let's get it in 2025! I like that you are pairing your patterns with fabric in your stash. I have the following patterns planned to sew this year: Butterick 6933, and Butterick 7012. The reason why you are missing a fabric is because of the Free space. That is one that you choose to do or not... it is free!!! That's why I cracked up. Your math is mathing. Let's have fun!
We have similar taste!! I'm excited to see what fabrics you pair with yours. 🤣🤣🤣 Lol I was so confused while editing like, "Wait a minute something is off!" Let's just call it a free space, I'll take the win 😉 I'm excited for this challenge 😄 LET'S DO IT!
Wow!!! Lovely fabric-pattern selections❤. Best of luck with the make 9 sewing challenge❤
You are so brave sis. Love that you chose patterns AND fabrics to go with them!! Good luck and happy sewing :)

For that loose weave, trace the pattern with a fabric marker onto the fabric and use a finishing stitch before you cut it out, then cut it out
They’re all beautiful. I cannot wait for your first one because it’s sooo cute! All of them will be beautiful 🩷
Thank You! That one is first on the list. I'm thinking Valentine's day!!

Black Friday sales count! It was in your stash as of November. I’m only sewing from my stash this year and ordered fabric on 12/31. Still counts!
EXACTLY!!! That's why I kept it in there. It totally counts for you too, friend! Best of luck with getting that stash sewn up!
