This reminds me of the Wooden Scooters in Banaue.
    - The town of Banaue, Ifugao is known for two things: its rice terraces and wooden scooters.
    - These wooden scooters are used during the Imbayah Festival, where a seven-kilometer race takes place, with locals in traditional attire riding the scooters from Barangay Viewpoint to the town's Poblacion.
    - The wooden scooters originated as a mode of transport for goods such as firewood, palay, and sweet potatoes in the early 1900s.
    - The introduction of motorcycles in the 1970s led to modifications in the wooden scooters, with natives installing pedal brakes.
    - Charlie Guinyang, a native of Banaue, claims to be the inventor of the modern wooden scooter and has been making them for 55 years.
    - Since the scooter race's inclusion in the Imbayah Festival in 2005, wooden scooters have continued to evolve and attract tourists from around the world.
    - Contemporary scooters come in a variety of shapes and forms, including those patterned after animals and motorcycles.
    - Building a wooden scooter requires expertise as it can reach speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour; the fastest record is 4.8 kilometers in 7 minutes.
    - Wooden scooters are now a source of income for woodcarvers, as orders for these items are continuously demanded, and some are used for photo opportunities and test drives.
    - The Banaue Wooden Scooters Racers group, formed in response to growing interest in the scooter race, has 35 active members as of 2019. The group organizes the exhibition race each year and ensures the skill of scooter-making is passed down to the next generation.

The ingenuity that these guys have along with that can do spirit is also remarkable. In America, if you were going to move that much weight, you would have at least a small pickup truck and a trailer come. In America it would cost less than $300 to make one of these and install very good components, versus $25,000 or more for the truck and trailer.
