It's awesome seeing all kinds of different technology throughout the game: there's Hell's fleshy one, the Sentinels' which is spartan/medieval, the Maykers that are kinda alien/holy/futuristic, then the Wraiths' which is mysterious and creepy at the same time and finally Immora's, which is basically the Maykers but unholy, bloody and very cyberpunk.
Top tier art direction. I look up to ID's artists, the fact that they've made like 5 different technological aesthetics that are recognizable and can immediately be attributed to a faction or entity in that universe is worthy of much praise.
I like how DOOM's gone from "Heh, fool, the story doesn't matter!" to "We have made an entire universe for this game and we still haven't shown you everything yet"
I really Admire the effort put into the ambient and less energetic tracks, they could’ve blown this off and made it boring and I think i would still forgive them because of how much I love Reclaimed Earth and Immora, but they went the extra mile for it all
Not even Mick’s OST properly scored the cutscenes, they were usually just ambient tracks reused. Whereas in this DLC, each cutscene has its own dedicated piece of music to match the pace and tone. Which I love SO MUCH. I think it’s because David Levy has experience in scoring film.
David Levy is actually the better artist here. Andrew Hulshult is just a one-trick pony that shreds the same song on a guitar and filters it so he can hide his skilllessness.
@@ClumsyCryptid That's a bit harsh, but I agree Hulshut ost lack that "Doom" effect (I like it but it could be used on another FPS), while Levy style really embraced the speed, the power and the adrenaline of Doom (Immora super heavy fighting track is just mental)

@@anecro don't forget the UAC/ARC aka human faction , looks similar in pretty much every future based game , but still pretty darn good.
