I like lightly modded DayZ, where the mods are just: community bug-fixes, a few lore-friendly items, slight alterations to how certain equipment functions (which slots it uses, etc.) My favourite mod is just a simple one that fixes how cars work, to stop trucks/cars stalling in 1st gear on a gentle slope and giving them better stability to prevent loss of traction.

Getting food is simple on official. Find a few fruit trees and pick everything up even the rotten ones. Run about 50 meters away then back. The fruit will keep respawning many times. You can easily get a backpack full in 15 minutes. It takes a few minutes of staying near the trees before it starts respawning.
@@HFH-Official yea I didn't know either until one day I was camping out a storm in a house and noticed when I picked the fruit and mushrooms they just kept instantly respawning.

Also I found out that the community servers are much much better than the official ones. The very first day of playing official servers I had some invisible hacker that kept killing me 2 seconds after I spawn somewhere lol....

It's the opposite on console though. I play on Playstation and play only on official. It's by far my favorite game. I been playing around 3 going on 4 years or so.
People use flashlights or glow sticks to see in the dark and losers use nvidia postfx or something like that. Actually it makes sense to play at night with things mentioned above because player count drops drastically
I used to think I was just really bad cuz I kept losing gunfights till one day some dude punched the air and I died instantly, when I saw him again with all my stuff he did the same thing

Like I said it's just a matter of practicality. I'm sure you been playing a while, I got 7 years in. I just can get both done relatively quickly and fishing doesn't give you away with a gun shot. Maybe you don't have even an improv suppressor yet. So it all depends on Dayz. One isn't better than the other, it's simply situational. When I do get plenty of guns and ammo later on them I'll most likely hunt myself.

Yes, that's exactly how official servers play. More than likely they are on a modded server with higher loot and just mistitle the video and falsely claim it was played on official servers to make it look easier than it actually is.
Chickens and fruit trees give you that early food. If you hang around near those trees, sooner or later you will get enough fruits to continue. Find a water pump and drink until you are full. Dont get wet until you have warm clother and food and water. Or you will get sick. Find or craft something sharp and craft hand wrappings or find gloves. And head inland. Find warm clothes. Also, try to plant some seeds to get vegetables, and cook them. After that it will get easier. If you are having a hard time, go to low population servers, more loot at the coast and less pvp. Learn to craft stuff, it will make your life so much easier. Stay out of the big cities at the coast, there is no point going there unless you have to, there is nothing. Also, if you have a budy to play with, it will be 10 times more enjoyable to learn and play. Also, google is your friend.

Yes neccesity..ive not been back beach for few weeks but when I do , I try not to leave until I get large dry bag then it's offskey for knife or any sharp to craft gloves and mask, then depending if rained or not I'll head north and either sit in woods and make fire and wait five/ten for shroom spawn then it's find a compass time/camp/military then north north north up to base or to build base.
i dont know why they never adjusted base building to be away from actual structures like PD, hospital etc. Official servers usually are a nightmare to play solo because people get in after a wipe and luck up the entire coast
Ohhhh the joy of public servers, I hate that more want to kill at first site rather than make contact...but still I manage to meet a few good people more often than not I get shot from behind or beaten to death lol.
0-100 hour in Dayz, noobs: never empty bottle.. they may drink dirty water and get sick.... 100-2000 hours in Dayz intermediate players: empty it right away to don't get sick 2000+ hours in Dayz pro: never empty it, unless they can refill it right away... dirty water is useful for so many things, wash hands, put fire out, put torch out, poison "teammates" :)
More than half the people that try Dayz quit playing it after 1 day for lack of Loot there are also not enough buildings for a map of this size even doubling the number of buildings wouldn't be enough and the food and supplies need to quadruple tens of thousands of people gone or never bothered to play in the first place for these reasons

If they can make more sales by appealing to potential new players, then they just might do that. I have 27 days on official dayz and exactly 6 hours on community. I'd play community but i play console so there's no point. I've played official for so long im used to everything you have to do just to survive. Community i hate becuase i walked along the coast to svet from berizino and found 5 cans of opened peaches. It got so common that when me and my grandpa played that server he came up with a story that the cans are left were people were killed by the "peach cobbler"
Just hold the reload button "R" then it will reload whatever you have in your inventory. Just be careful not to do it with shotguns since it will not care if it's slug/buck

I like to go to the ones that make it harder to survive. Ones that are -20, or -30, and have less loot forcing you to fish, hunt (probably with a bk), and have fires every about 10 to 15 minutes.
That's a WHOLE LOT of running around in open fields with no ballistic helmet for an official server... I'd say you made it quite far, considering the amount of open ground you covered with little to no stamina. My one critique, is you hoard/carry too much. Great video.

I got stalked by two pretty geared guys, 1 tapped one and handcuffs the second, then force him to eat EVERY piece of his friend flesh before executing him
I found out that most guns with a non-removable magazine usually spawn with a few rounds in the mag. I always check the shotguns in police stations now because you can usually get a few rounds of 00 Buck
love the game but i struggle so hard due to having no mic. i play on xbox and i’ve tried 4 different mics and none of them work so socialising is hard 👎. good video though!

Is there a problem with the dialogue track ? I had to max out the volume to hear what you were saying, but then my eardrums would get blown out by gunshots and zombie barks ! So alas, I couldn't watch it.

It can differ depending on servers. I recently played a community server that pretty much had full tilt sprinting hordes if you even step a foot outside within a city or village. It's too intense with the janky zombies. There's some community servers with no zombies even! Pretty stupid if you ask me.

I’ve died from hunger and water more than people on official servers.
I found that crafting a pair of cloth gloves early as possible saved you from washing hands when you get that chicken kill early game.

I found out that most guns with a non-removable magazine usually spawn with a few rounds in the mag. I always check the shotguns in police stations now because you can usually get a few rounds of 00 Buck
Also the shotgun he found there spawns almost every time there, at least for me

Is there a problem with the dialogue track ? I had to max out the volume to hear what you were saying, but then my eardrums would get blown out by gunshots and zombie barks ! So alas, I couldn't watch it.
I’ve to adjust my microphone settings, for some odd reason it seems to be reallly quiet on the track :/

So why do you make a little campfire and then place it in the fireplace? I've always just put the necessary items in the fireplace. Is it a inventory thing?
Yup, you can have a full fireplace (full fuel, full kindling etc) in a tiny campfire that would otherwise take like 100 inventory slots

It can differ depending on servers. I recently played a community server that pretty much had full tilt sprinting hordes if you even step a foot outside within a city or village. It's too intense with the janky zombies.
There's some community servers with no zombies even! Pretty stupid if you ask me.
