The point of my comment was to bring into the light the contradictory nature of what is so often called counter-terrorism, which can lead to more terrorism as some of it's innocent victims (or 'casualties') walk down the path of vengeance, something that I've seen far too often. You are right in that whataboutism leads us nowhere, but without critically analysing the roles of both the perpetrators of terrorism and that of the victims in counter-terrorism, I believe we are doomed to be eternally stuck in a cycle of violence. And although the situation in Gaza is far sadder than that in Afghanistan, it has a similar smell, and we must look at our past mistakes, lest Palestine is taken over by HAMAS.

The point of my comment was to bring into the light the contradictory nature of what is so often called counter-terrorism, which can lead to more terrorism as some of it's innocent victims (or 'casualties') walk down the path of vengeance, something that I've seen far too often.
You are right in that whataboutism leads us nowhere, but without critically analysing the roles of both the perpetrators of terrorism and that of the victims in counter-terrorism, I believe we are doomed to be eternally stuck in a cycle of violence. She completely exposed the lies he was peddling and spin that he was trying to put by correcting him wherever he tried to lie and asked him pointed questions. She also seemed to be completely disgusted with him and rarely looked at him.

About the Egyptian border for instance. Sangita did not press him to give a straight answer and gave him all the time to create stories and twist things.
@@john_cockpit I thought he answered it clearly, they have no control over that border. The clue is in the name, Gaza / Egypt border - controlled by those two parties, pretty pointless asking Israel about it.
He's been given talking points and repeating the same blather over and over reduces the credibility.

But she completely missed his point. Hamas goes into civilian population buildings and palestinians don't see anything wrong with that. If you want to support hamas then be prepared to have casualties. The problem is not only hamas there but the population supporting terrorism, that turns against them.

How can Israel exercise its responsibility to expunge Hammas without endangering citizens if citizens are not advised and encouraged to leave. So the interviewer is granting the interviewee the right to take action whilst preventing duch action due to the presence of civilians.
