One of the most vital aspects to magic tricks like that is having a slight hand. Being able to swiftly move your hands in a way that makes it hard to know whats going on is the key to a successful magic trick.
This man gets it! Learn if you want to do it. But honestly the patter and presentation is more important then the “trick”. Most tricks are just waaaaay too much trouble to learn and require loads of practice. The answer is almost always boring. I know some cars tricks that require 104 decks of cards to pull off and will absolutely blow your mind. But the answer is super lame and is almost boring. I could teach anyone including a 4 year old child how to do it in about 1 minute but to pull it off takes years. I am perfect at it, but my patter is lame so the trick is only remarkable instead of magical. (I’m a fan and not a performer, and kinda wish I didn’t know how any of it was done).
