  • Are you wondering what Wordle is, and why there’s such a fuss about it? And are you also wondering how to play it? Well you’ve come to the right place. First a really quick background on Wordle, it was created by a man named Josh Wardle….I kid you not! Wordle was released to the world in October of 2021. Within two months the Wordle website had over 300,000 people playing it, and by February 2022, just a few months after it was released, there were already millions of people playing the game…. wow! Originally you could only play on the Wordle website, but Mr. Wardle came to an “agreement” with the New York Times to host his game on their website. It’s rumored that the New York Times bought the game for something in the low seven figures!!! It is still free to play without a New York times subscription, and let’s hope it stays that way!

Thank you for such a clear explanation of how to play Wordle. I previously watched another RUclips video on a different channel and was not inspired to play. I have now played for four days straight with success every day on the fourth guess. Frankly, I'm surprised by my success, as it seems almost an impossible task starting out with essentially nothing. I keep thinking my beginner's luck will give out, so I guess we shall see.

Hi Andrea, Wordle is a nice change from Sudoku for some very quick fun. I also don't find it challenging enough, it might be in the "fad" stage now and fizzle out. Time will tell. Maybe someone will create variations on the Wordle game to keep us challenged. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it!
