As soon as I finished watching this video I was able to finish a puzzle I had been stuck on for half an hour! It took me 2 minutes after spotting two type 1 unique rectangles! Thanks!!

Great explanation I like your way how you explained steps in details, but I would like to ask you to do one evil sudoku in steps applying all these methods, and solve it from A-to-Z

Question: If this technique were used on a puzzle with two possible solutions, would it yield one of the possible solutions or give a false chain? 🤔

If there are 2 solutions, then this could create 1 solution. I don't know what a false chain is.

In the 1,7 unique rectangle with one of the 4 cells having a 6, that one cell has to be a 6 because it is the only 6 in the box and the column, not because of the unique rectangle.

Actually cells D6 and E6 should include the candidate value 6. So this was not a Type 1 Unique Rectangle.

Guessing E6 is a 6 eventually leads to a contradiction, as does pursuing a guess that D6 is a 6. This leaves F6 as the only cell in column 6 that can contain a 6, and solving the puzzle without employing a Unique Rectangle algorithm .

A unique rectangle sudoku is unsolvable. If you have a box with two squares with only two numbers, those two numbers are eliminated from the rest of the box and therefore you cannot put a number in the box to determine which number remains in which square. This logic also applies to the rows and columns. Without being able to determine which number belongs in each square the puzzle is unsolvable.
