I mean as someone who grew up with a parent who was abusive stemming from that parents mental illness, it's rarely that simple.
Maybe they aren't shunning her. Maybe they haven't kept in touch since the show was 30 years ago.
Not everything is as a person takes it.

@@Teatee105 They are not entirely wrong in their statement. It is hard to deal with someone suffering from mental illness and even harder when the person suffering's life is spiraling out of control. She was extremely lucky that Dr. Oz has such a caring staff that could see something was wrong, and they reached out and got her the help she needed. She very easily could have gone a Margo Kittinger or Britney Spears route.
Her illness was an elephant in the room.

Being a fan of the show and seeing her like this is so emotional. I wish her nothing but the best and I pray for her well being.

Exactly, and being open to her struggles is what's healing her...I suffered from anxiety for about 10 years, so I truly understand.
Yes she is brave.. It's great to see her doing better.. It's sad she's felt left out.. Lisa Turtle was an iconic and breakout character. Lark was perfect in the role. I wish her the best. She was and is beautiful.

She was addicted to crack cocaine. She put the pipe in her mouth nobody else did. Take responsibility, but people just want to deflect.
Hearing her voice shake as she got emotional reflecting back to her time on the show says it all..it breaks my heart.
This industry is so disturbingly toxic. My prayers, love, angels of protection and best of luck I wish to her daily.
Watching the rest of this episode has left me in tears, such a strong, kind and beautiful soul. I hope she feels our support and keeps getting the help she needs.
Bi-polar is absolutely treatable, my wife has type 1&2. Glad to see lark got the help she needed.
Treatable but not necessarily curable. A lot of people do fine While others do not.
She's not bipolar. Lark has a schizo affective disorder.

They call themselves systems and have sometimes what they call persecutors and protectors as persons within the one body.. Its not even scary.. Its just misunderstood thankfully people who have it are educating on youtube.. Gosh i wish i could talk with her she just seems like she needs a non judgemental friend
It is treatable but your life is never the same and the medicine destroys you from the inside out. The medicine is so bad for you but you have no choice but to take horrible toxins for decades making you pass away much quicker into old age. They have to make better treatments
Some people don't respond well to treatment unfortunately.
It's sad that they left her out. She needs to be part of that reunion. Happy to see she's doing better. God be with her and give her strength

It absolutely breaks my heart to see how those battling mental health issues are ostracised by their own peers/family. My heart goes out to this BEAUTIFUL woman who lost her future to clinical depression. God bless her with strength.
She looks beautiful and you can tell she has come a long way.
Mental health/illness is still so taboo and handled so haphazardly by so many organisations. Best of luck to her. She is still a gem.

When Lark read from her journal it was almost like a switch turned...she delivered those words and emotions with authenticity and grace. I look forward to watching her do the same with the script of the reboot! So glad to hear they are including her.
She looks a bit guarded and fragile but overall better...I really really hope she keeps getting better...I really love her and that cast they were a major part of my childhood, I wish them ALL the best

Lisa was such a great character in TV history. Her back-and-forth with Screech was always one of my favorite parts of "Saved By the Bell." I wish Lark nothing but the best in the future! 🙏❤

I loved Lisa turtle. She was one of my favorites. I’m so sorry for all her hardships. And I hope she gets to where she feels whole. I could tell there was some pausing and stuttering like she was trying to figure out what to say next. But she did amazing and I’m so happy for her

I totally get and understand what Lark has been going through and is going through. I myself struggle with depression and was diagnosed with schizo-affective disorder at the age of 16, I am 2 months shy of my 42nd Birthday.
Would you please share what your symptoms are? I know plenty about depression, but hardly anything about Schizoaffective disorder

This is really sad. I loved Saved by the Bell when I was a child and I didnt know she had has such struggles. I hope she continues to get better and feel better.
So sad for her but also proud of her. It’s so strange how her voice is completely different as well. I work in a mental health clinic and I have many patients with completely different diagnosis and many with hers but she is a total different case. As the other patients I did not know or see growing up. With Lark, it’s a complete different person from what I was used to seeing as a kid watching the show. Not the acting but her as a person and no trace of her condition or what’s to come. Amazing how bipolar disorder can manifest or do a number on you. Praying for her and hoping for her time and contribution on the reboot. Not just a cameo

Yeah, I was surprised that they waited two years later after enough therapy to have her on. My opinion of Dr. OZ was wrong, good man for getting her quality help. 👌
I really liked her in the movie, How High. It was nice to see her again after so many years 😊

For the record, Lark did not disappear right after Saved by the Bell. She went on to star in soap operas, movies, and sitcoms.

This interview made me so happy. She needed to do this for people to see how she is feeling now and how far she's come. I LOVED saved by the bell as a kid and as a young black boy, I needed to see her on the screen to identify. Such a shame she wasn't let to participate.

She looks frightened to be in front of the camera. She looks great on the outside. But her constant pausing..almost stuttering.. but hope she gets better
James Earl Jones says he also stutters unless he has a script.
Those are symptoms of her mental illness
If anything she seems happier to be back in a spotlight, that’s what I see at least. She said that the other voices try to climb over one another to speak and maybe that’s what the pausing and stutters are about. But I’m also hoping she remains well.

Possibly could be nerves. The last time she did a TV interview was when she rambled on ET and made no sense. I remember social media making fun of her speech and appearance so maybe she was being choosey with her words and presentation.
I am glad to hear some good came out of this Interview and she was given her rightful spot back on the reboot. The magic is seeing them together. They were always so much fun and I hated seeing her left out. It really did feel like Clicky highschool drama. I realize there is always two sides but mental health is a serious issue and not knowing and understanding takes time and she has put in some serious work and she looks and sounds great, shes got one heck of a support system! She looks so much better. you tell she still recovering, but I'm blessed to see her come this far. I've dealt with with people with this disorder and it is a piece of work. I believe she will be a awesome speak person for mental health. I'm continuing to pray for her🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Seen this makes me not wanting to watch the reboot anymore. They didn’t even call her? When Jodie Sweeting had her problems the cast of full house stood by her.
I sorta get how she felt too. I used to get on Facebook and see pictures of all my old high school friends who I used to be REALLY close to back in the day, and i would see pics of them all gathering around "haven't seen these people for YEARS!! Glad we could all get together!" Always wondering "why wasnt I invited? We were all best friends... they can easily get ahold of me" and i would see things like that all the time. I took the "bad" road and got hooked on heroin and partying and didnt necessarily take the path they did out of school, but I got clean and stayed clean and did (and still do) things the right way but was still shunned out. I dont let it get to me like I used to and deleted facebook (one of the best things I did). I have my work family now, and I feel closer to them than I ever would meeting up with old school friends these days.

Mental illness is real, it’s so difficult sometimes for people to understand how this effects the person. My very close friend is going through this right now, unfortunately she’s still in the denial stage. Sometimes I just feel like crying, I’m so afraid for her😢

Huge fan of the show I’m 41 so I lived through the 90’s I am so proud of Lark and whispers I had a crush on her but she is by far my favorite actress (don’t tell the others) keep your head high !

Secretly, I sometimes wonder if she had either a head injury or if she used crystal meth. Some of the photos of her during her challenging times looked the after photos of people on that meth. She was the most beautiful woman in the room most of the time.

Good for her! I'm bipolar also, and have tried to deny that fact to myself most of my life, causing a lot of pain and drama where there didn't need to be any. 90% of the battle is finding the correct medication and taking it RELIGIOUSLY!!
I hope she has help to get through the passing of "Screech" it's hard to work our bipolar brains through sudden loss like that. RIP to him.

In the end of it he’s in the “entertainment” business. So I always find shows like this exploit people. It depends on what the audience gets from it and how they react. I could see sadness on her face so I felt bad for her. It seems like she’s doing well. I’m not a big fan of dr.Phil or oz. I read he’s not even an actual Dr. lol

So Proud she confronted her Mental Health and hopefully an episode can be done on Reboot of Saved By the Bell or a show if she could help others her own story and own words through what journey she had to go through it would be Empowering. As a fan of the show and a person who also faces Mental Health its Great to know you're not alone. Hopefully Mental Health Awareness even During Pandemic can grow to Empower others. She could be a Spokesperson During these times if she does feel up to it because Day to Day can be something to experience

Struggle is real and glad she is feeling confident enough to be transparent. So many not able to get help needed and not have a support system. So many are shunned and left struggling on their own.
