I appreciate the time you put into this comparison, Gemma. I have the CT Magic cream and it's just ok. I rarely use it so it's in a bag of things to give to a friend. Right now I'm enjoying the Ole Henriksen Strength Trainer moisturizer. The consistency, what it does for my mature skin, and the light lemon smell has me reaching for it every morning; and the Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair at night. By the way, you look beautiful in that fuschia top and I'm loving your lighter hair again!! 😊

I have never tried the Charlotte Tilbury magic cream because of the price. I just can’t believe that any moisturiser is worth that amount of money. I have just re-purchased my second jar of the revolution pro miracle cream because I find it to be very hydrating it gives my face a nice glow. I think comparison videos like this are absolutely brilliant. Most people can’t afford to spend that much money on a face cream so it’s nice to see them compared side-by-side with a cheaper version and be reassured that you’re not really missing out that much. Thanks again Gemma❤

I've just come across your channel and this video! So interesting to hear your thoughts as I've been using the Revolution Pro cream for the last couple of weeks. I've never tried the magic cream so didn't know if it was a good dupe or not but at £10 I thought it was worth a try. Like you, I really don't like the smell of it but I've found it really makes me skin look brighter and love that it sinks in so easily. I'm really enjoying using it and you only need a small amount so it will last for ages too. Defo worth a try. Off to sub to your channel now too! ❤️ Xxx

I will def try the Revolutionary Pro lternative one now. I've been using th magic cream for 3 months and whilst its lovely I cant justify the price, as other rich moisturisers do similar magic things. I'm working on the premise that I'll spend low on cleanse and moisturiser, and more on serums, essence and SPF. Thanks for the review.

I will definitely try the Revolution cream at £10 it’s a bargain and I’ve never been a fan of CT’s Magic crème as I find it too heavy and just sits on the surface of my skin. I’ve never bought the full size as it’s not worth it but I have tried a sample of the product. Maybe it suits people with dry skin better but I can’t understand the hype over it. Bobbi Brown’s Vitamin Enriched cream is much better and I have also found a lovely cream that is worth the money from Shisheido.

Okay I’ve bought so many face creams over the last few years. Right now I’m using L’Oreal line plumping water cream. It’s amazing. I can’t justify spending $100 for a face cream. I use that during the day and either Olay Retinol 24 fragrance free cream overnight or Cetaphil Brightening cream. Those three are the best and they compete with any high end cream IMO. I’ve spent easily over $1,000 in the last 24 months in face creams just searching for the right ones.

That's a hefty price and I don't like fragrance in my skin care. What I have found works wonders for me (and I have very dry skin) I take 2 drops of The Oranardy Rosehip oil and a bit of Khiels Ultra Face Cream and use that twice a day. It is amazing. I Also use Khiels Eye cream with Avocado in it I warm it on my ring fingers till it's warmed up and tap it around my eye area. These 3 products have been a game changer for me. Love your channel

My face was an oil slick by lunchtime after using the Revolution Miracle Cream under my regular make-up. And, it smells like Playdoh 😄. However, I have continued using it at bedtime as it feels lovely and nourishing, and a week later I’ve not had an adverse reaction so that’s positive.
I adore the CT Magic Cream, like Gemma though I have never paid for it, I work off the free samples when I want my make-up to look 👌🏽. The scent to me is so reminiscent of something my beautiful Granny would have used 🥰. They are definitely not dupes, but they are cracking products in their own right.
Having read some of the other comments, today’s task is going to be tracking down Ponds Vanishing Cream to see if I can get that CT Magic Cream vibe in a more financially viable way. 😄

I did love the CT Magic Cream and the CT Magic Eye Cream but did not continue because of the cost. The best creams, serums etc I’ve ever used are the Aurelia Pro Biotic range. My skin lost about ten years (age looking). But, sadly, can’t use it all the time as it’s also expensive. Im Trying the Beauty Pie Youth Bomb Serum and Moisturiser now. The jury I still out as I need to use it for a bit longer to see if the reversal of my skin condition, ( since stoping The pro biotic creams) lack of hyper pigmentation and creaminess I had with the Aurelia creams comes back with the Youth Bomb set after a bit more time. Sorry, I got lost in that sentence.

I've used CT magic cream and I've always found it to be too heavy. My skin is getting dry so I should like it but I don't. I do think it looks and feels very nice on the skin, but for me it's way too heavy. Also, I couldn't get over the scent LOL

😢I was so excited to see this cream for £14! However, I am highly allergic to chamomile (same allergin that is in ragweed). I once accidentally put chamomile tea bags on my eyes for a big night out....ended up at a clinic getting shots of epinephrine!😢😅 Wish they wouldn't put chamomile in so many products!

I can't stand the smell of the CT cream and I rely on my skincare - not my moisturiser, to address any skin issues I may have.
As for the Revolution cream, just knowing it has essential oils included in its ingredients is enough for me to walk away.

You might think of trying as moisturizer in the EMBRYOLISSE line. It’s made in France, is cruelty free, and reasonably priced. They have a light moisturizer (last) and a heavier one which I use in the winter.) I’m 77 and have very dry skin. I aslso use as glycolic treatment cream at night. (Serious Skincare Glycolic Cream. I usually find on EBay at discounted price. Makes my skin smooth.)

I wouldn’t buy the CT cream on principal as it’s so overpriced for what it is, a moisturiser has to be amazing for me to spend that, and I do have some high end ones, I always go back to the Elemis pro collagen tho especially for under makeup use.

Magic cream is a beautiful product that Is unfortunately overpriced. She could sell so much of it if she made the price fair. It would be everywhere. I love the smell of it too. Essential oils from what I have been told are not the best for skin health. I certainly noticed my skin getting clogged up, larger pores and more texture when I used products with essential oils. I did research and sure enough they are not recommended for your face.

I generally don't wear moisturizers with fragrance or essential oils. I have gotten samples of the Magic Cream and it never impressed me enough to break my unfragranced preference. My cocktail for getting my skin plumped before makeup is a really inexpensive multi-weight hyaluronic acid toner by The Lab by Blanc Doux, followed by Allies of Skin Firming Treatment which has ceramides, peptides, niacinamide, etc. I top that off with a moisturizing SPF then Sisley Double Tenseur primer for even more plumping.

The Charlotte cream has way more chemicals high on the list and the Revolution cream has better oils and is over all healthier than the Charlotte one. The Charlotte cream has oils that you fry french fries in and is super cheap and Revolution has high quality oils. Be smart about your ingredients girls. By the way Charlotte does contain essential oils, they just use the science name for them instead of being transparent.
