Imagine coal miners going to work and then the mine shaft collapses and they can't return to the surface. The coal company says that "They are not stranded, and besides, they are trained professionals that are used to being underground." After eight months of dropping food and water to the miners, the company still insists that they are not stranded. This is NASA.
Here's the logical flaw in your comment: Are those coal miners trained to stay 8 months underground continuously? Is 8 months a standard time of miners to be underground continuously? The Astronauts are trained for 8 months of space and 8 months is also a standard time.

The death of Boeing. One of the great giants of industry has collapsed so spectacularly over the last few years. Never fly Boeing if you value where you’re going.

Yeah...but the problem is that it wasn't an "ISS mission",it was supposed to be an 8 day "test flight" of the Boeing starliner. Yes they are trained to stay in space for 6+ months and yes they aren't exactly "stranded" but that's an extreme amount of delay and Boeing is 100% at fault here.

Those who don't know, the average time an astronaut spends in space is 6 months. And this is average. In some missions it is more than this. Sunita has previously spent 8 months at ISS. The longest time an astronaut spent in space was 14.5 months. It was done by Valeri Polyakov. So this delay of Sunita and Butch is nothing to panic about.

Only if you do not claim that you are stranded.
