Funniest thing is that they could split the guards in halves without breaking a sweat, but they try so hard to be good and lawful they have to obey. xD
That guards bulshit detector was fully calibrated XD

I’m sure it’s because he has like 1 point in charisma and because of that he gets -2 and gives him -1
you can't get 1 point in CHA unless you have some magical minuses. Besides, a 1 is -5.
@@sharkmouth1374 I'm pretty sure either Travis was calculating wrong for Deception (using Int instead of Cha) or he has some other minus to it, because IIRC his Cha is like 12 or something.
@@Banejbt he had a curse that gave him -2 on all checks. He got it after drawing the card of the sword

Uhm, how exactly is that possible? What does he have in deception? Deception is a CHA skill, not INT. How would he have atleast -2 to his deception when he has like... 12 in CHA?

I can't remember what Sam did about this but I remember it being needlessly complicated. If it was me I'd have Polymorphed Grog into a fly and dimension doored away, then cast seeming.
If I remember correctly he turned Grog into a Giant Eagle and they flew off out of the city. I forget if the guards were shooting ballistas at them.
maybe he didnt prepare dimension door that day
bards don't prepare spells, they just know them in their mind. however it is still not possible because with dimension door you can only take an ally with you who is your size or lower. gnomes are small size and goliaths are medium size
but Grog would've been fly size at the time which would've made him be smaller than a gnome. Unless it is your native size that matters which means my party has been using it incorrectly
Just to get it out there - Sam created an amped up illusion of Doty, based on a loose description (Sam forgot he'd seen Doty) to try and scare off the guards but the same Cpt. saw through that too. The Grog punched a guy and Scanlan Eagled Grog so they could fly away (eating some ballistae bolts s as they went). They met up with the others shortly after that.
Now I know what hemorrhaging a lie sounds like🤣🤣
