this is the sign of the times many ignorant peaple who make coments without listening to the lyrics just like when i was young they just see the bands name and cast the wrong judgment.I saw Sabbath in 1999 the reunion tour they were great it was a dream of mine to see them.Great channel your very intuative.
Eric, you should've been around 5 years ago when Sabbath was artist of the month. I had to block a bunch of so called Christians. They littered the comment sections with fire and brimstone, even insulting the mom's of Sabbath fans!
I gotta give you props for your open-minded approach. You really are cutting through all the outer layers of BS that snare a lot of people who misjudge these guys without actually listening to the music & Geezer's lyrics and thinking critically and giving it some context in terms of them being 4 'brummies', working class guys from modest means in a dark industrial town in the late 60s when there's this war that everyone hates and for the first time people are protesting and questioning the narrative of the power structure and seeing that its not good vs bad but its all bad and exploitative. It's not like they're 60's hippie flower children... kinda the opposite, they realize the 'wicked world' the 'lord of this world' the manipulation & exploitation.. Props to you for keenly observing their actions and judging not on the facade but truly on the content of their character. You keyed in pretty quickly to the REAL dynamics and have gained some respect & admiration for these 4 guys and their talent and inherent drive to speak truth to power, to think for themselves and encourage us all to do so. When you talk about clueless hypocrites showing prejudice & ignorance and perpetuating stupid fact-free narratives about Black Sabbath, I see you get fired up and wanna talk some shit back. Reminds me of my teenage years in the 80's during the Satanic Panic. So-called Christians who behave the furthest from the example that Christ represented, they don't seem to realize how they betray themselves by their actions and words, that no-one who truly held the beliefs they claim to who would behave the way they do. I see you approach each song with an open mind, as clean of a slate as possible and judge it on its own merit. That is spot on. Dunno if you've listened to anything off 1976's Technical Ecstasy or the last Ozzy era studio album 1978's Never Say Die. These are maligned by a lot of people but I discovered all of the 8 great 70's albums as a teenager in the 80's when there was no Google or Wikipedia. I had to physically walk my ass to the lil record stores around my town and dig thru crates of old LPs to discover these things. And when I came upon one of the earlier releases that had like foldouts and/or liner notes and lyrics that was golden! I was so happy to find more OG Black Sabbath I loved the last 2 albums as much if not more than the early ones. These were esoteric & sophisticated, enigmatic. There is one song on each of those albums NOT sung by Ozzy. What the hell? My friends & I speculated that it could be Bill Ward, the drummer, because it couldn't be Geezer or Tony. Only many years later did I discover that we were spot on.. Bill sings on 'It's Alright' from Technical Ecstasy and 'Swinging the Chain' on Never Say Die. Check those out!
They clearly never listened to the 1st 10 albums. They started every genre of metal, including Christian Metal. Change my mind, good luck. Also: Sabbath > Zeppelin
Saw Black Sabbath Boston and Moxy at the Convention center Arena San Antonio Texas 1976 .
Toni Iommi - masterful. You can always hear jazz and blues influence in their music.
you can hear the fairy liquid bottle lids in every note
Saw them 5 times in the seventies. First time in 76. Amazing
If you saw them live in the 70’s, I can guarantee that you have not forgotten their performance.
i bet your ears are still bleeding i know mine are after seeing motorhead and the damned in 76

Cal Jam '74 inspired me to take up guitar as a serious hobby. I still play a lot every day.

OZZY must have been high AF when he chose that outfit.
Were the people you blocked aware of the Black Sabbath song After Forever?
No, as soon as I announced Sabbath was artist of the next coming month, they went nuts.
They clearly never listened to the 1st 10 albums. They started every genre of metal, including Christian Metal. Change my mind, good luck.
