Personally, the GLA is the division I don't like.
This video is longer then the others cause the GLA have A LOT of toys.

The only advantage you have playing as the GLA is that they may have low health for literally everything but you can easily build up an army quite fast and they also have the ability to steal enemy tech which helps in taking down your enemy plus they're REALLY good when it comes to ambushing ;),battle bus functions just like the humvee which has fire ports inside them so that your infantry inside can shoot

GLA is the best division.
IT collects resources fastest out of 3 divisions.
America's weapons are rly nice, but it takes too much time to collect resources...

ive waited TENNN YEARS FOR C&C GENERALS 2...THATS A LONG TIME...!!
i am playing this game for 5 years :) zero hour pwned ,,so if you take the full part of generals cds u must older "the first decay" cd ,,so u can play online zero hour with other persons :) i got 876 wins and 178 loses on 1 on1 games :P my opinion for begginers at general ........your team must be only GLA TOCIX DR.THRAX FOR LIFE :)
It kind is like that. Units are named sort of like their counterparts and have similar functions. The factions (United States, China, and GLA - the stereotypical terrorists you see on tv) each have a wide expanse of technology from the US' laser weapons (it shoots down incoming missiles) to GLA's banged up pick up truck that serves as a personnel carrier.

in a head-on fight, yes. in the GLA's element, they are DEADLY. you just have to know how to use their units.

You can upgrade scorpions tanks, toxin tractors, marauder tanks, and scud launchers through enemy scraps. scorpions and scud launchers sometimes take more than three scraps to fully upgrade because you might get money instead.

the scorpion tank was build for real in the cold war, but it's used in CnC Generals and also in the Tiberium Wars :P
My friend used to think that the Angry Mobs were nearly invincible too, then I killed his 12 angry mobs with one dragon tank. They're actually a lot easier to kill then you think, computers just don't do it right.
And no thanks for any mods, I play legit.

The name Scorpion Tank also used as a NOD's Vehicle in C&C 3.

Nothing like hoarding resources to build a enormous army that isn't necessary.
The laser general, I think, has the best defense and the laser tank is good. The USA superweapon general is underpowered because it really doesn't give you any special superweapons, just EMP turrets and advanced reactor rods. My favorite is the USA Air Force general personally.
not necessarily. Jarmen Kell can keep the pathfinder pinned down long enough for the player to send in a technical or something to kill the pathfinder. I say that he can pin down snipers because if the pathfinder moves, the Jarmen will nail him.

Westwood FOREVER!, EA has been dragging the cnc series through the mud trying to make a fast buck, but I still love the series for its core original games.
yea its good, don't pay attention to the other people. Obviously its not as good as the others but its still pretty fun.
I liked GLA for the tunnel networks, the bunker system, the powerless environment and the multipurpose peasant. Anything else,
slightly... i know that it has diffrent units but i think there is also a possible change in missions. well zero hour is only an expansion and you need generals to run it

For me, this is the best game from all Command & Conquer Series!
It basically increases rate of fire and firepower.
it wouldn't surprise me that c&c generals will make a comeback in pc games.
One major flaw I found in the game is how infantry were next to useless in almost every situation... They'd always be run over by enemy vehicles before they can even get into position.
REALLY annoying because in most RTS's, I actually prefer using infantry tactically as opposed to vehicle spamming.
it shows the marauder going up against a battlemaster but an overlord would totally kick a marauder's ass
Zero Hour came out in 2003, they then stopped supporting it in 2004 but did not make a new C&C game until 2007. Seems odd! It is the longest running game in the series (and one of the best). More and more people are getting fed up with modern RTS so they are going back to the classics and good for them. We should all shun what EA are making now and just play the games that are good.

The only reason GLA is the best is because it is easier to steal technology with the sniper.
@cannatown he uses "scoprians" which are a cheaper and weaker version of the scorpion FYI
And It also increases armor if I'm correct,
btw, ppl who like the game should really try out the Shockwave mod for Generals ZH (it's not a complete overhaul like most md's, but aimed at improving the game instead of making another game of it)
@wexa89 We use a Mod called Rise to Power (Zerohour Reborn V.4) but it doesn't matter what MOD we use, or if we have NO mods, it keeps happening. But Your Point about keeping it in the Defualt Directory may shed some Clues.. I had to Stick the Mod in a Directory within the Default Directory for it to work. I Will check... (thank you for you advice my friend. Not many people hold their Hand out.. )

Westwood made generals, while ea made zero hour.
marauder and quad are superb fully upprade and when zero hour there can be stealt too.
So they kick even overlord easily when they surprise it.
Zero hour needs balanced i think.

you can still play it on vista. I just channged my display thingy to 32 bit and ran it as admin and not in compatabilty mode and it should be fine
this game is the best strategic game i've ever played! my favorite faction is the GLA with their dozens of toys but my least favorite are the chinese cause the buildings need power and with the reactors and all that stuff to support them it's annoying

zero hour is actually twice as good and has more scenarios
yes but the original generals DID have civilains on most of their maps, the expansion does not however.

The mobs had to pass through a choke point. I had my dragon tank put up a flame wall at the choke point, upgraded with Black Napalm. Did the trick.

lol, that blowing up the dam mission to flood the enemy was awesome. too bad they dont have a map like that in zero hour.
The GLA may be evil, but they are very fun to play. their tunnel network let units enter and exit at any point, and they don't need power either!

The Anthrax bomb is cool but it should just kill the vehicle occupants not the vehicles themselves, that way you could drop a bomb, let the poison subside then invade and steal all the empty vehicles :)

@lol96uaz yep. they should remake it with better graphics, more armies, more diverse maps (without the glitches of mountain fox or twilight flame) but should stick to the old generals formula that worked

@IcyScythe I used to hate them, but i got grew to like them because of their cause and their flexibility. Also every one loves an underdog:)
Scorpions are only effective on 1on 1 if they have full salvage upgrade wid 2 rockets and new cannon. other than that u gotta use em in big numbers which you got right :))

the only thing i dont like about the GLA are the tunnels and stinger sites, they're not really good base defenses but the anthrax is a good weapon
About 10 or so mobs got to be unstoppable, unless the enemy had snipers or you didn't stop a toxin tractor or dragon tank.
Well, just use enough anti infantry units, especially Toxin Tractors, Dragon Tanks and Rangers with flashbangs :)
