I didn't understand it but I definitely felt the love and emotion in this classic movie. I too love this movie as I got older and has a deep message. Notice how in the beginning all the normal residents live in colorful house and Edward lives in a dark evil looking castle? The real monsters are the normal looking residents.

The inventor is Vincent Price, legendary horror film actor and voice artist... and rock icon... as he did spoken word tracks for Alice Cooper and Michael Jackson. This was his last on screen appearance, though his voice would pop up in the animated film The Thief and the Cobbler in 1993 (the film had been in production for 30 years... it's a long story). Tim Burtons first film was an animated short called VINCENT, which Price did the voice over for.

Hey, Rukiya! Your videos are always on point, but this is my favorite one so far. Not "I'd let you slice and dice me!" 😭🤣🙃
I have a love/hate relationship with this film because it IS beautiful, like you said. I also LOVE the score by Danny Elfman. But it's basically a tragedy at the same time.
My all-time favorite Tim Burton film is Sleepy Hollow. I'm sure you'd have a field day with that one. 👏👏👏

Hey D Man! I feel you. This movie is so sad to watch, especially at the end. I don’t care for happy endings in films often. But dammit, I wanted Edward to live happily ever after with Kim so badly.😭😭
I haven’t heard of Sleepy hollow before, but I just searched it up now and it looks awesome! And it stars Johnny again so that’s a bonus 🥰

This movie is the perfect example of why you shouldn't judge someone without knowing them. I love the relationship between Kim & Edward. In the beginning, Kim is scared of Edward, but the Ice Dance scene was the moment where she truly saw him for who he was. The ending always breaks my heart💔

    Dianne Weist MADE that movie.
If it had not been for her I doubt it would have been interesting.
She hit the ball out of the park with Little Man Tate also.
She is sooooo good yet so underrated.
I have not been to the movies in years with no plans to go but if my favorite book “Modoc” ever graces the big screen I will be itching to go.
Dianne Weist BETTER be in that movie also or I’ll be pissed.
(Modoc had me on the edge of my seat and when I finished the book, I did not want it to be over.).
