Agreed. I've ordered mine anyway, but for £450 I'd expect a case of some kind. If you look at B&O headphone accessories on their site, they have some very expensive peripherals. A leather case for instance starts at £90. But to not include a case or even carry bag at all, that's a bit off imo.
Hmm when comes the option on tapping left or right to skip a song or go back? Some 3th party software maybe? This is the only thing im missing on this headphone sounds great! Come on B&O update the app so this can be done.

No it can't. If you read the user guide, it specifically says it makes Bluetooth inactive when using the xbox wireless connection. It's misleading in their product page where they ambiguously says it supports multicast (that's a Bluetooth feature to be specific).

Ah no way?! My Arctis 9X can take calls and play video autopsy from my phone while I’m gaming, it’s really useful if I’m browsing insta while waiting for Fifa to load etc - big shame!

Portal issues Sound quality is great but i have encountered many issues. I would like to include the issues I'm experiencing because I have watched alot of reviews and these issues have either not been brought up or experienced. • Audio cuts in and out on xbox and P.C. (Worst on P.C.) • Sound cuts out if pushed to max on headset (Not if adjusted on app) • No noise gate setting • Tested mic and voice sounds far away • Tested mic and background noise is very noticeable. Bottom presses can be heard on the controller • Voice/game volume mixer does not work on P.C. • Settings do not save when headset is turned or or after switching modes • Audio cue needs to be louder when voice/game mixer is maxed or in the middle • Volume cues would be nice at 1/2 and max volume. • No command to end calm only answer • No command for next/previous song.

Been waiting for news on these for ages! They look incredible. Question:- how will the sound quality compare to say the Arctis 9x which seems to have very similar features. The premium materials are great, and I’d like far superior sound output for £450 - do you know what the sound is likely to be like from the specs? Both 9x and these are 40mm drivers...
I just got a pair from Best Buy earlier today and I'm coming from the 9x. These definitely feel much more premium in quality. Sound is phenomenal. Just crisper and with a tighter bass than the 9x. Also the microphone sounds crystal clear.
Do you feel like they’re noticeably better than the 9x then for the money? And can you confirm if you can use the wifi at the same time as the Bluetooth because a lot of people saying you can’t. It’s not a deal breaker but it’s a cool feature on the 9x
@@JohnJDurkin I can confirm that Bluetooth is disabled when connected to the Xbox. Seems like a missing feature that alot of people will complain about. Especially considering cheaper wireless headsets allow for both. As for noticably better....in my opinion yes but sound is subjective.

Several problems, hopefully you may be able to help. 1) Headphones must be turned on in order to use them? Even with the cable? Because that's what I'm experiencing currently. 2) When plugged into the controller (with the provided cable) and turned on, the headset still doesnt have any access to the gaming modes. I also tried to pair it with the ps4 through bluetooth with headphones turned on, just said it wasnt supported. 3) Sound is very very quiet, even turned up to max within the console and using the side bar on the headphones. Needs to be at least 60% louder, they're great for music and very loud, just useless for trying to hear footsteps in games (which youd at the very least expect from a £500 pair of headphones). 4) Again, this feels kinda stupid to say for such a product but the mic doesnt even work? Am I going to need to buy another aux cable with a microphone??? I sincerely hope not. Please, if I'm missing a whole bunch of things here help me 😊

i saw in a review that bluetooth does not work if you are playing. therefore you cannot listen to music, but above all you cannot receive phone calls .. this is really disappointing. I have already pre-ordered the headphones because I was really excited, but I am seriously considering canceling the order. I thought it was a feature that I took for granted by now .. at least in this price range .. other obviously less expensive and much older headphones have this function, such as the turtle beach Elite 800x. So do you plan to send a patch for this thing?

Any plans to support PS5 in the future? I was always looking for a high-end audio option for gaming. It‘s really unfortunate that B&O choose to support Xbox rather than Playstation. Xbox just isn‘t for me. Playstation always seemed like the more mature and more premium platform to me - a better fit for B&O than Xbox.

As someone who has to LISTEN to someone who is using your "Virtual Boom arm" mic, it sounds like he is using a 1990s webcam mic in a bathroom, you should be ashamed releasing something that sounds like that for £500 rrp

Thanks for reaching out. When using Beoplay H7 via a 3.5 mm mini-jack connection, the microphone on the headphone itself will not be active. You will need a mini-jack cable with microphone for that purpose.

we will be happy to answer your question. Beoplay Portal are wireless headphones designed for gaming. The wireless connection types supported are Bluetooth and Xbox Wireless. Further, they also support wired connection through Line-in and USB-C. Airplay is not supported.

Any plans to support PS5 in the future? I was always looking for a high-end audio option for gaming. It‘s really unfortunate that B&O choose to support Xbox rather than Playstation. Xbox just isn‘t for me. Playstation always seemed like the more mature and more premium platform to me - a better fit for B&O than Xbox.

Im sorry but on pc these dont work you either get good sound with no mic or real crappy sound with a mic a update would be appreciated

No song skip/repeat control on a $500 headphone.. really B&O? Please fix this in a software update ASAP, there's no reason to not have such a basic function in such a premium headphone.

Thanks for your question. When using Beoplay Portal, only one sound connection at a time will be active. If you are connected via XBox wireless, Bluetooth audio will be inactive. You can switch between Bluetooth and XBox wireless on your headset or in the Bang & Olufsen App.
