- This video serves as a nostalgic look back at the Xbox 360 gaming era. I focus on one entry in the popular game series 'Gears of War' specifically the debut launch title 'Gears of War' from 2006 with some cross-comparison to the Ultimate Edition remaster. I also take a small gander at the multiplayer and culture of the time period. Hope you enjoy!

I really don’t have a problem with this more “simplistic” story. Had this game tried to jam a bunch of crazy or more in depth story telling down your throat, it would have lost a lot of its charm. Look at Gears 5. Nobody gives a shit about Kait’s lineage, and the drama between JD and Kait/Del feels like high school drama queen vibes. We as fans enjoyed the banter between Delta squad and the simplicity of it all.
Fair point, simplistic doesn't mean bad. Gears 2 will forever be my favorite, and I feel the story ramps up amazingly and concludes perfectly with 3. Humble beginnings as they say!
It frustrated me so much to see you use the hammer of dawn it’s crazy. Like the berserker isn’t even outside yet and you’re pointing it at it thinking it’s gonna kill it. Hammer of dawn only works outside and I think Anya already tells you that in the game and even the instructions. Yeah, raam is supposed to be extremely difficult and yes he is different then every other locust, he has control over all Kryll and he’s far taller and bulkier than any existing locust.
lol yeah I was expecting the berserker to run out but I think he was kind of glitched for a second. As for Raam, yeah difficulty is justified just exaggerating somewhat--but I more or less meant he doesn't seem very different appearance wise. They probably could have tried to change it up a bit more, anyway it is just a nit pick. Thanks for commenting!

Also I think you should read the gears of war rise of raam comics and review them, it really solidifies raam as a bad ass leader in the locust horde. I would like to see your thoughts on it. Peace
