Thank someone! They finally made a completely new floorplan! I get it, Differentiation adds to complexity and cost, but man, for the families that need occasional bunkhouses. This is an amazing design for those who need every once in a while sleeping areas, or just don't want to see those guest areas all the time. I agree with you on the lack of recliners. I do wish someone could figure out a low profile recliner mechanism that could be hidden in front of a sleeper sofa, so you could get the best of both worlds! You are the most eloquent speaker when it comes to telling people they "don't have to buy this product, No one has a gun, just buy something different if it doesn't work for you" than you are Sir!
OMG someone finally did it. I’ve long wanted a bunkhouse travel trailer where instead of double over double bunks next to the bathroom the. Bathroom could be turned and out single bunk along the back wall of the camper like this and took them away so that someone can sleep while the rest of the camper can be lightly used. Maybe this type of design will catch on. It’s like people forget that sometimes a camper is used for sleeping and living at the same time.
I wish they would make the current bath a half bath with the washer dryer in it then add a full pass through bathroom on the other side of the master bedroom with the closet at the back. That many people NEED two toilets!
❤ it's beautiful. She's not perfectly turtle friendly but the rack and pinion slide is nice. The true queen that tilt's is nice 👍 and the camp side window coverage is awesome. I like the sofa and I really like the bonus room.
Video was weird at the beginning Nerd...Love this RV and like the bed cubbies be great for shoes..don't need the shoe on foot stool in the bedroom just make dresser bigger..all and all love the kitchen and the windows and blinds..they did good on this RV for the most part..
Thanks for the video! Quick note, after the stat flash, around .34 mark, the video cut hard from you talking outside for the intro to the road mode photage up in the upper deck. I think in editing we lost several minutes of the video. Seems like a great bunkhouse layout, but I wonder why they did a peninsula/lounge couch sticking out to block access to the kitchen? Seems like a straight counter and couch would have fit to make that wide open to load the fridge without pushing the slide out. To me seemed liked a wasted opportunity for better access for storage and winterizing on a large slide 5th wheel.
Merry Christmas Josh!🎄. This one is almost perfect. I, too, would rather have more floor space as I am a little claustrophobic so that hidden room is useless for me. It’s a little too closed in. Now, if they had made it a half bath, that would be something.
I love the rear kitchen with all the countertop prep space along with the very cool pendent lighting fixtures. I get migraines frequently and I appreciate the fact that Wildwood didn’t use the same ole see through glass lighting fixtures that all the other manufacturers use. The window coverage is excellent, and of course I like the bonus room. There’s nothing that I don’t like about this fifth wheel.
Love the rear kitchen and pantry space. I agree with you , Josh, that I would rather have theatre seats. They probably didn’t do it because there would be no room to walk past the theatre seat in the extended position. Another reason there should be an opposing slide.
The couch should have been on a slide. That’s all that was missing. It would have given you great room for people to enjoy and gives you more “access” to the kitsch counter top area.
This one has been taken over by a gang of octopi and we're here for it! Love the separation of the living room and kitchen by way of the lighting. There's so much to love about this one, but I can certainly see where folks are coming from in wanting to eliminate the slide altogether as we could use it either way. If we were searching for something in the super single, heavy tower market this one would be on our list. I think that the Reflection 341RDS is still the one for us if we wanted to go into that kind of weight range, but I would LOVE to see what happens if this 320VIEW and the 341RDS were to reproduce. The L couch would be a must.
Love the rear kitchen and while the hidden bunkroom is cool, I do like the slide to increase the living area. As for the sofa, our last Class A had big theater seats but to us they are limiting. Our current Newmar has an 87" sofa bed and for us is so much more useful. It is comfortable, large and allows for the two of us to sit and watch TV with our dog on the sofa. The color palette is very nice, and the storage is good.
One question I have with all the Views is how bad is the noise with all those windows? I just can't get past the fact that with all those windows a crowded RV Park is going to be noisy. The hidden rooms are very very kewl both because they are hidden but also because finding office space is something I'm always looking for.
Thanks Nerd! love the window shades. I would prefer the theater seats and the chaise lounge off to the side. I like the bathroom. That underbelly has triangular ridges instead of a corrugated look, which I have not noticed in other trailers. Is there something specific for that design or just a different manufacturer for underbelly material, if you know?
Checks a lot of boxes for my family of 3. We take our cats, so we have to have an enclosed bedroom for our son, so he isn’t bothered by them. Unfortunately my wife probably won’t go for this one, because she wants as short as possible. Our # 1 is either the FR Impression 282RLVIEW or the 238RLVIEW, since they’re a little shorter. These VIEW series look like we would actually enjoy spending time in these. So many campers, that aren’t 40 ft plus, look so dark and depressing inside.
Great work as always Josh!!! I love that the View Series is pushing the designs of rigs. When doing something new, mistakes will be made however. My only concern with the View Series as a whole, is the 1 tiny vent put into the hidden room. I may be wrong, but I do not think when there are 2 human bodies in that non-airflow room on a hot August night, that it will stay cool in the least bit. I give the View Series a lot of credit and I could be wrong, however, time will tell as customers review their rigs, if that 1 tiny vent is enough. Again, you had a great year Josh and I thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to your channel. I have worn my RV Nerd hat almost everyday this calendar year (since you started selling them that is). Happy New Year to you and your family, best wishes for 2024!!! - Nate from Buffalo, NY 2018 Keystone Cougar 29BHS
Interesting. If you put anything on those shelves on the sliding door they are going to fall off, better hope it doesn't happen when it's pushed into the wall or it's going to be a bad day. The windows will let lots of light in, and heat in\out which is a big problem down here on the Gulf Coast.
There is no perfect rv, however, this comes close. For me personally, things I'd change:1) Please get to washer/dryer out of the closet (inspite most manufaturers do it, it's just plain silly hence moist builds up there) and it could be perfectly placed under the kitchen counter in the corner next to the sink (like most European apartments and it'd also simplify matters by having plumbing already there). 2) One-piece firberglass shower and perhaps a bit bigger handwash basin (I'm still to find a better bathroom execution than Brinkley's - in this sort of layout.) Furthermore, I'd rather have a composting toilet (e.g. Separett Villa) that would eliminate the need for the black tank and perhaps increase fresh and grey wayer capacities as well as simplify waste management. 3) Instead of the corner sofa just get a normal one without being a sleeper, maybe with some storage underneath. By doing so, I could gain more space to make the peninsula wider, thus, be able to place the stools on both sides hence could share a meal or drinks and banter facing the guests. 4) I'd like to have one of those Fisher Paykel drawer dishwashers under the sink. I'm sort of sure that all the aforementioed changes could done post purchase but it'd be nice to have those options from the get go. Last but not least, granted the price is right I'd live in this full time, not necessarily travelling, more like decking it out on a decent plot with gardens. Thanks for the awesome review.
So... for a no bunk option.... put a big L or even U shaped sofa in there (the kitchen will have to be reconfigured maybe), and use a projector screen for the television. Enjoy the VIEW outside during the day, at night, close the shades and then lower the screen and enjoy your "tv"
I absolutely love the hidden bonus room trend and honestly I'd say it's a better use of space than just having an open area. For me I'd use these as office space so i can hide away my work when I'm hosting or if I'm just done for the day with whatever work I got dragged into. I hate having to convert my work/living space twice a day in addition to all the other versatile space conversions you need to do normally, to have a dedicated place to just set things up and leave it alone is super helpful for us digital nomads. For families, having privacy for the kids (especially older kids) is a huge plus! I hope we see more brands adopt this kind of floorplan in the future. On this unit specifically, I'd argue the bunk room needs to be wider still. It's very narrow and while it works for just bunks, it'd ve very tight for any sort of bonus room use.
Since it is just my wife and I (plus dogs) those hidden rooms would be a waste of floor space. Even if we had our grand kids stay the night, I don't think any of them would be comfortable closed up in that small space.
for what this appears to be intended for, i love it, no complaints, i usually hate blocked fridge in travel mode, but..... i see this being used by the person who will probably leave this in one spot most of the time like a destination trailer, but still want the ability to just hitch up and take it out once in awhile, or as we call snowbirds, 6 months here, 6 months somewhere else... travel access not that big a deal anymore, you still can do the 3 s and sleep, and you have that outside fridge if cant get to main one to put things in or use overnight stop, put a little shopping in etc. .... not sure what i would do with that hidden room, almost would like the option of it not being there, what if just made a no slide hmm no, may as well make entirely new trailer again, or reduced size slide to fit in same place that was living room half only, no room behind it.. nah even that too much trouble, cant have entire slides laying around as options.... nice idea, not practical in the least.. ..., now if i was a kid, or had a kid or two, i would love it totally, as it is i can see removing top bunk and mattresses, put little desk at the end there, but chances are i would just use that dining bar instead anyway.. would make a cool room for a lot of hidden gear like if you in to ham radios and shortwave and all that, a nice hidden gun room, but all that goes with that would be WAY too heavy for a slide, possibly the entire trailer itself lol, good craft room for people in to that.... that bottom bunk window exit kinda screws up most of that in my mind however, i could see sitting at a desk and be kicking it on accident and such .. and with a window that low i would not want to use it as a main storage of valuables either, but still a very cool concept, nice exit for the kids to sneak in and out too, which as a kid i would have loved. had a thought about slides and occupying them.... it seems to me having a decent amount of weight in the slide closed never has been the issue, the issue is what kind of weight... 150 and 200 or more pounds worth of person, or 2 or 3 people even, who move around, get up and walk, sit down etc. puts entirely different kinds of stresses on the slide system than the same equal amount of weigh just sitting in one spot for hours or days or months and years constantly. so there fore sure you could put 500lbs of cargo in a slide, then close it, leave it alone, just sits there like a box of books forever, no problem, but it is closed and you start having 500lbs worth of people moving around constantly, things may start tweaking and stressing in unexpected ways. i am no expert at all, dont know crap about rvs other than what i watch on these channels, but this is what makes sense to me.... the motorhome expects people to be moving around in it, the trailer does not, therefore they are built just a bit different and stronger..... also it seems to me, you should not load up a trailer slide with weight or remove a lot of cargo weight while it is closed either, even if you dont have to actually get in it.... it should open back up with the same amount of weight it had in it when it closed for the most part. more weight than just your groceries, open it, put your 500lbs or what of cargo in, close it, do not remove until opened again first......again just a guess, is what my train of thought and assumptions leads me to, it seems reasonable enough to make sense.
I agree with you 100 percent about the Murphy room. While it is a cool idea, and I love it, I would rather have more room from the slide in the living room.
@@JoshtheRVNerd You're working yourself too hard. Take a breather and come back refreshed and refocused. We appreciate all you give us RV fans (fellow nerds), but please take care of yourself. Happy New Year.
There is an RV out there for everyone, I guess, but this one is not for me. I don't like much about it. Needs recliners, a dinette, and a better kitchen design. The living area is too narrow, wouldn't use the bunk room, and I like a north/south bed with drawers under it. There are two things I'm okay with; washer/dryer hookup and the bathroom. I'm sure it is the perfect RV for someone, though!
No solar, no theater seat option cheaper suspension are all negatives on this unit. Dining area for the number of people they are wanting to sleep is inadequate. I don't see anything to recommend this over similar units with better options.
Nice! i would lock that second pantry down so it was just a single door to the bunkroom - who wants to open two doors to go into a bedroom? I'm not a fan of the 'hidden door' concept in views, tbh. whilst it's fun, it's a gimmick that'd get old with actual use IMO. but love this one! where I could actually just have single door. i wish there was a way to see all VIEW trailers on the forest river website - they are hard to find currently buried within their various brands and regions. but love the product idea. love the square windows too. take that brinkley ;)
The more I see you review RV’s the more if I do pull the trigger, it’s going to be a Brinkley. Two air conditioners for that many windows? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Don’t take it south!
Their night shades have a radiant barrier on them to repel more sun. Heavy weather package. Bigger Air units. These have been crushing hot chamber tests
I don't like the cubbies under the bed. Put drawers there. Its just a dirt collector. Also, open steps up....dirt collector. Close up the steps up to the bath/bed area. And the stove should be under the microwave. Its stupid where it is currently. Put the bank of drawers where the stove/oven is and the stove oven there the bank of drawers is. Counter space for food prep needs to be close to the sink not all the way over where it is. Clearly a man designed this.
Sorry, but although I’m sure that some people might like it, to me this looks like a 37’ no slide RV floorplan with a slide-out that leads to nothing more than a tiny bunk room or storage area☹️
Why spend $80,000 when the frames r cracking and factory and frame are made cheap how can we trust industry again w/o dot regulation and dealerships complaint 2 factory about quality since they talk 2 customers
If it had a slide out for the seating, it would be a much better space. Way to cramped, and the hidden bunk room is like a coffin. No thanks, not going to make it on my list.
Thank someone! They finally made a completely new floorplan! I get it, Differentiation adds to complexity and cost, but man, for the families that need occasional bunkhouses. Looks good. Like the couch, for an RV couch it looks good, not that usual cheap look to it. Hidden room is awesome!
I love it!
Awesome video Josh!! I would definitely convert the bunk room into an office. Wish there was a half bath, but still an awesome layout
That would be cool!
This RV is every kid's dream with that top secret bunk room

Nice camper. I bet they could have put a longer awning IF they went with the split baggage doors like the other side 🤷🏼♂️
Would've been nice to have a bed like that. I had to chop mine up and install 12v actuators to make mine adjustable.
Oh wow
I love it!! I love the grey color scheme too!! Very nice, I could see myself living in it! Just one question, does the L shaped couch make into a bed?
Yep! I think I flashed it briefly

I personally prefer those little baskets that have a cardboard bottom, and can be collapsed when not in use.
Those are cool

They could put a longer awning on this unit if they changed the door on the front storage compartment from overhead to a side hinged door.
Ooh good idea

They’ve done temp chamber testing on these and matching living room climates in those mini rooms btw
I know one vent seems small but it’s a small room
There is a secret to that design and what I will say is if the a/c is on in the unit that room will receive a/c.
There should be dual opposing slides in the living room so it is wider.

had a thought about slides and occupying them.... it seems to me having a decent amount of weight in the slide closed never has been the issue, the issue is what kind of weight...
Totally agree that theater seats should be an option (I have low back issues and I HAVE to have a recliner-esque chair).

I rather the hide-a-bed to theatre seating, it's more flexible.

Socks for Christmas. Yes. That.

Never yeet the wife, Sir.
Hahahaa
Definitely without the hidden bunk room.
I think making anybody sleep in those coffin like bunks isa no go.
The more I see you review RV’s the more if I do pull the trigger, it’s going to be a Brinkley.
Two air conditioners for that many windows? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Don’t take it south!
So obvious a man designed it thinking what they think a woman needs. 😂😂😂😂😂
Don't give up your day job! 😂
Sorry, but although I’m sure that some people might like it, to me this looks like a 37’ no slide RV floorplan with a slide-out that leads to nothing more than a tiny bunk room or storage area☹️
Fair!
Respect. Thankfully plenty of more traditional models available!
I think if they put a small slide for just the sofa, not only would it open it up. They could add two more windows.
MORE Windows!
@JoshtheRVNerd isn't that the whole point of the view line up?
With all those windows, maybe we should buy stock in Windex.
