Nice job, Pete. Thanks for sharing Part 1. I did something like this for my water fountain in the front yard. I used 1/2", 1" and 3/4" PVC pipes for the man pumping water. His pumping action is triggered by a water pump and hose where the pressured water coming out of the hose drives a small water wheel which is connected to the PVC man. It worked well for a long while until the water pump stopped working. I need to buy a new water pump to get it going again.Nonetheless, I like yours better as it is truly a Whirligig as it should be. I particularly like the added clothe line.
