He violated occupancy rules. Only 2 people per room per house max. He’s way past that. He needs to be fined and have his business license revoked. He is not a hero when he’s taking money from these people. It’s not like he’s doing it from the good of his heart. Don’t be a brainless fool.

Hard work they say! My father came here by hard work as well, and was able to get me citizenship by hard work. I also work hard, vote, pay my taxes and have done weeks of jury duty. Having to pay a lot myself, it's really not fair for the people who played by the rules who came here!

I met some of these people in Thailand after COVID. There was a small group of Chinese who kept to themselves at our hostel. One day I overheard them in Chinese repeatedly talking about my country Mexico which got me to talk with them. They were quite happy to learn I could speak Chinese but more excited to learn I was from Mexico. They started asking me a bunch of questions about crossing the border into the US to which I bluntly told them I had no idea about and discouraged it. I asked where they got these crazy ideas from and they said that people were posting videos and tutorials of how to cross into the US online. The Chinese government hard handed approach to COVID was what made them leave. They wanted to go both for the freedom and economic benefits but they had a very naive and overly optimistic view of the US. They saw the high wages US workers were making but had no idea as to the incredibly high living costs associated with living there. I tried explaining that there was a housing shortage and that their expectations for life in the US would set them for disappointment but they either didn't believe me or brushed off my criticism. I also tried encouraging them to go to German or Australia instead (places which I feel would be better and easier for them to enter) but they seemed dead set on just going to the US. Unfortunately I don't know where they are now as Wechat is blindly and constantly blocking and deleting accounts in SE Asia without reason..,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I'd say look at country by country. Senegalese are doing fine in the USA and have an extremely low crime rate. The higher crime rate is from Somalian gangs. Still, Somalians do well in the USA. There aren't many African immigrants in the USA. And while there is a lot of talk about Nigerian scammers, most Nigerians are hard working, well educated and one of the most successful immigrant groups in the USA.

I actually feel so bad for them that they have nothing to lose in their countries and they simply leave hoping to find something better, the entire world is f'd up, but even those conditions are probably better than where they come from. I know that the US has a lot of homeless citizens, but some of the migrants have seen and experienced things most of US citizens can only imagine. This just makes me feel powerless.

I think it is more efficient for migrants to recover their citizenships, the reason why they arrived in the US. It's the same as in Europe. The people who got rich illegally are running from east to west with all the stolen money. The most effective is to work with statistics, which a host country never presents to the European Union authorities.

They're probably doing food delivery. The next step is being Uber drivers and then some of them will build businesses, like the Senegalese restaurants that are in Harlem. As for legal vs. illegal, please. Do a deep dive into how some people can be "legal" where others aren't. It's not so simple as legal vs. illegal.

Sleep deprivation is a REAL thing it can have a person beside themselves…that’s number 1. But the other thing she stressed was those E Bikes being in numbers lined up I guess outside and them possibly catching on fire. So it wasn’t just noice and sleep issues which I know from experience are bad enough…it was also fear of being in a FIRE. I know from experience that many of these foreigners simply don’t follow safety codes as we try to here in America. This isn’t a hateful diss, as I get it…they are desperate, but someone’s desperation shouldn’t be putting you in the place you are legally, in a horrible situation. In conclusion we have noise ordinances for a reason because the true thinkers understand that us slaves…need REST at some point. I’m sure you wouldn’t want your bus driver (if you ride the bus)…sleep deprived. With all due respect just wanted to expand on some points. Be well.
