To be fair Gengar is also essentially an attacker that has a fast passive
It sort of depends on which moveset you choose, Shadow Claw leans more into Speedster than Dark Void.

@piercemat331 we need another ranged all rounder tbh it would be perfect for something like arcanine since it's a mixed attacker but mostly physical. Give him the opposite of dragonite where he uses heat wave or something and he gets long range attacks
Darkrai is the only Speedster who has thespeed of defender.

Credit where credit’s due, thay comfey player was really fuckin good. Darkrai still feels underwhelming to me personally, for a speedster it has horrible mobility and average dmg, but still really cool mon.

Darkrai has a perma stun combo with Dark Void I suggest trying out, The more Cooldown reduction you have the better:
Dark Void three times in a row without using your Boosted Attack then after the 3rd Void which marks them you use the stored Boosted to put them to sleep and wait for the next Dark Void which you can again follow up with a stored Boosted.

@@piercemat331 I believe Darkrai is classed as a Special Attack, Melee Speedster in game, It was the opposite in PTS as they used Cinderance as a template.
Altough Dark Void definitly has the potential to be played fully Ranged.
You say it’s amazing but I am watching your stream and seeing you lose every single darkrai game after this one😮

After messing around with it a bit, I'm finding that the Muscle Band does some wonders for Darkrai. It helps its shred and jungle clear, and it looks like based on numbers in practice mode that it does make the void tendril boosted do more damage.

Didn't realize the extra nasty plot beams would apply to every target if you hit multiple with the boosted beam, seems like a nice mobile backline then

They changed quite a bit from the pts. While I like the sounds, he's very loud it seems.
Well, half of it besides the gameplay was unfinished so it makes sense those are there now.
Wow and this was without muscle band, your boosted attacks are the majority of your damage so this moveset might be kinda broken

Darkrai is just plain trash... Dark pulse is unusable, the cooldown of dark void makes it unusable because one nasty plot to get out and you're out of range, you need to set up a first one before being viable and by the time you get the second one up they're either out of range or you're dead
It's an expert speedster. It's not going to be mastered day 1.
@@trainerghost9294 of course not, even if it was a beginner one, but i just think it's plain old poor design that to actually do some damage the combo is dark void, get in to auto, pray to all gods that you don't die in the process, use up your nasty plot stack, then get out twice and use the auto attack at range... If you're surprising a lone target, sure. But dark void's multi target indicates the mon should be able to set up big moments sometimes, but the range and cooldowns make it feel like it's completely impossible to do in a teamfight
The complaints you are giving can be easily solved by managing the time of each move. Just wait for some time and let some people master it and provide guides. Every speedster has problems when they are newly released or used for a few matches. Do you really think that zoroark is garbage? Meowscarada is garbage? Many people do consider them to be, they are expert speedster pokemon. But in hands of pros who can use them properly, they are nightmares for the opponents.

I've watched a couple videos explaining Darkrai, I played it in practice mode, and I still don't fully understand what it does. Lol

But its really not. Everything Darkrai does that puts opponents to sleep (which is it's entire advantage) requires you to get close...

Try using: Dark Void + Nasty Plot in + Basic Attack + Nasty Plot out. Wait until Dark Void is ready again and do an infinite combo of Dark Void + Buffed Basic Attack with Nasty Plot.
I couldn't test it in game because I don't have it. But I think this might be better. Btw I love ur content
Forgot something: if have one stacks of Nasty Plot before the combo, you can actually use a Basic attack before Dark Void. That's because of the subsequential two hits of Nasty Plot that remove the mark of Dark Void. If you do this, the damage output increases a fair amount because of the passive that deals full damage and the opposing pokémon is stunned for the full duration.
You know you can test it in practice mode? Or customs with bots if you wanna do 5v5.

@@ptyZ989 You can still test a bunch of things in there. Especially if all you need is to see what the difference between damage is. If it's any good on paper then you can try testing it in ranked. I don't see why people hate doing this.

Mimikyu has shadow sneak to be speedster

I've only played it a few games cause I was excited for it cause it seemed somewhat complex. I like the dark void build, I'm not going to say it needs a buff yet cause it feels pretty damn strong if you manage to get full stacks of sp glasses on. the damage from that item on max stacks is pretty crazy. Even made farming pretty easy, I'm tempted to stack cookie on it with sp glasses and the stacking glasses.
Dark pulse on the other hand, while I only played it for one game, it feels downright awful to use. I might be using it wrong but pokemon can easily run out of it's range and the reward for getting the hits on it just doesn't feel worth it. That build certainly needs a buff or a downright rework. I like his ult though, pretty cool pokemon but certainly needs some tweaking in some areas. Durability seems really low, not sure if cookie is going to cure that.
Darkrai seems pretty unique and interesting to play honestly, i feel like people are mad cuz its not a easy Pokemon to play

Opinions on Dark Pulse? It seems so clunky and weird to play, plus it looks good mostly for objetive fights or something. I'm sticking to nasty plot.

This character is trash
Tbf it was mostly because of that blastoise and not cinder himself. Also it's not like every speedster is trash if they misplay around a cinder, they are all squishier than them.

True, but Cinder is notably squishy, which makes him a pretty free kill for better Speedsters (Leaf, Zoro, Meow). Darkrai (at least here) had to use a key cooldown in a duel against a mon who it SHOULD be able to counter.
That, in my opinion, is a strike against the character as a whole.

Speedsters need some love and attention like Weavile and Aerodactyl, also Blaziken, Mimikyu, and Ceruledge play like speedsters NOT all rounders

It doesn't look that Amazing, I like Darkrai (who doesn't) but his skills feel slow + and doing basic attacks from far and all.... His ult is good but 1 & 2 not so much It's not that cool It's just throwing the ball and dash and don't talk about its other skill

Darkrai is underwhelming...... he's slow....basic attacks are weak....hypnosis is better than the last moves....a single hit sleep gets taken away for moves that takes two hits....there's just so much about his moveset that needs help.
He needs ALOT of support

He buys every new release just like any other content creator lol. It's not new. Also the license will be released for coins after this, but if you do it everyday you can get it for free (if you don't count the time that is).

@@Agilepickleunite I wouldn't say it's like crazy op it's just your typical unfun mage matchup that we've been wanting nerfs for. Some things are gonna 100% need nerfs but it isn't release day Mewtwos/Zacian levels of op. I would say Dark Void needs to get mega nerfed along with it's unite and then the other 2 moves just suck so probably buff that a tiny bit. I think it's just too many spamable sure hits I would say 1.5 times cooldown would probably be way less annoying.
