I've met this wavy line issue before too, but after getting the latest driver the problem has been resolved. You can ask for the latest driver from their service.

I've got the newest driver and I also have the jitter issue. I think it's just this tablet.
@@hoxstudios7978 i'm assuming you're talking about the cintiq pro 13 and not this one, and i agree huion is better but it also has 8k pressure!
I have the driver version 14.7.6 and it didn´t fixed the wamble lines :S

just a heads up to anyone worried about the wavy lines. i had them just as bad as Brad but huion has actually sent out a firmware update that completely fixed the issue for me. i assume this will probably fix it for the 12 pro too. just to note a firmware update is different to just updating the drivers, im not sure where you can freely download the update but if you email huion they'll send you a link.
just for people considering this still! huion recently released a fix for the weird wavy lines thing, and brad posted a video about it! it’s definitely better now

I'm before buying a tablet and I can't decide between Xp Pen Artist 12 and Huion Kamvas pro 13. I watched lots of reviews about Huion and few people pointed out it really makes wobbly lines, but later it got an update and it's fixed now. I liked the Huion a little bit more based on the reviews but after knowing about the lines I'm not so sure which one should I pick. Does anyone have experince with these two? Is the line problem really fixed now? 🤔

I had pre-ordered this back in July 2018 for only 270$, this is my very first tablet display, and WOW am i amazed, my art leveled up so fast using this

As for squiggly lines issue, u must enable administrator privileges on the software they provide, it helped for me

Hi I got a question :3 the color on my pc look wayyyyyyy different then on my huion Kamvas pro 13, did you change anything in the settings? I am so lost because the colors look so good first but as I look on my pc, those are very... sad looking? ;-;

They are not allowed to say negatives

I’m watching this rn because my dad got my mum this for Christmas; but she couldn’t under it (she doesn’t do digital art) so it’s getting passed on to me and I’m so excited because my previous tablet was a £10 one from like 2005
@Brad Colbow -> can you do an updated review on this to see if the upgraded drivers since this review have corrected the issues you had (i.e. squiggly lines)
Any chances you can do a test with the new firmware update they released in december? i read it fixed the woobliness, would love to see your take on it. Kind regards

Thanks bro!Is there drivers refreshing with a new recently, or it's doesn't matter?!Seems to be almost the same price, for small and bigger graphic drawing displays, so still want to decide whats good.I worked with a wacom intuos manga, but its slow, not good to look at two places at the same time.So, displays are best replacements.
Hey Brad. How did you get it to calibrate. I've been trying for days and it's so off, I can't draw anything accurate. Tried updating drivers, restoring default, etc. I'm on a windows.
I'm so glad other companies are finally making decent tablet displays. $1,000 for a Cintiq Pro 13 and an extra $80 for side buttons! Not to mention the faulty drivers, unresponsive remote, and limited tilt angles. People have to sell a kidney just to make art, and that's ridiculous. Huion seems to be improving their products aggressively and listening to what artists want, and offering reasonable prices, so I'm definitely inclined to try some of their products.

Damn. With Huion is always an *aaaaalmost there*. I really have big expectations for their next tablet monitor which I believe will be an upgrade on resolution (either 2k or 4k).

Honestly though, the problems mentioned in this review (except for the stand, that you can fix yourself) seem to have already been corrected via drivers update. This tablet is lit for its price tag.
My only question is that if it’s a Good Tablet or use for Beginners
Sometimes, connecting this tablet to your computer will make your Photoshop and sometimes your whole computer freeze. And then after fiddling with the driver software you realize that disabling Windows Ink fixes it. But that comes at the cost of losing pressure sensitivity. If that ever happens to you, do the following:
Create a text file in a text editor such as Notepad.
Type in the following lines:
# Use WinTab
UseSystemStylus 0
Save the file as a plain text file named PSUserConfig.txt, and save the file into the Photoshop settings folder: C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 201*\Adobe Photoshop CC 201* Settings\
And your pressure sensitivity should be back with absolutely no lag or freezing. Hope this helps people out there. Huion is a really great brand.
04:00 the review on Brad's own website says the wobbly lines have been fixed with a firmware update.

I want to start doing animation and I have already a wacom intuos tablet for the beginners but i would like a tablet with a screen so that it's easier... that is curious actually the other reviews i have seen of this tablet the lines have been perfectly straight so maybe its a driver issue and they have a different version?
Just curious, but I have question. When using Adobe Illustrator can you make adjustments within the program to calibrate how straight your lines will be.... or curve sensitivity? I'm new to both Illustrator and the tablet, in fact I will be taking classes for Graphic Design in January. Somebody let me know, because I'm looking to buy a tablet. Thanks!!

How do you have the Huion set up as the main screen? You can actually see photoshop on the screen & draw on it.
Hi Brad. We are thinking of this for daughter’s birthday present. She uses her iPad mini at the moment with some free app. What software should I buy for her laptop so she can draw like you are. Thank you.
If you press the screen settings button instead of holding it in you can change the touch bar to change from zoom, scroll and brush size. I alternate between all 3 settings all the time when drawing.
i am stoked to see cintiq alts implementing some of the features favored by wacom, such as the reduced parallax and tilt. tilt is one of those things where i don't notice it until it's gone, as many brushes i own and make utilize it in some way. it tends to be very subtle and only on certain tools but really makes drawing/painting in certain media feel more true to life. if i were in the market, those negatives may be stopping me from getting it, but i am optimistic that their next generation of these displays are going to be on point.
hey brad, recently i bought Wacom One tablet and it has the same kinda wave line but not as bad as in this video. So i wonder do you have any similar issue with Wacom tablet or have tried the Wacom One itself? Wacom one is geared to the asian market though and i couldn't find much review before buying it. So, buyer's remorse i guess
First of all... Your work is whimsical and very good. But more over, I've watched several reviews for this tablet. There's an online artist who's work I admire from Australia. However, he's loved huion for so long, I didn't realize his review was honest yet a tad bias. It wasn't until the videos from you and Lawrence Mann that I learned about the pen wobble and the fix among other things and I truly appreciate it. If you had to recommend between the kamvas pro 13 and the 156hd v2 would you suggest one?. They're about the same price now, I just have trouble deciding with pen, gamut etc. Thanks in advance if you get a chance to answer

u said it Initial activation force was on the high side, and then it improved and came down. Did it come down to the IAF in wacom cintiq displays, that's 1 gram feather touch.

How’s the wobbly line problem right now? Did they update the drivers? I use a Wacom stylus on my iPad and it’s extremely wobbly on everything so I want to buy a drawing display that doesn’t wobble.

excuse me sir, if i may to ask question, im planning to do pixel art for game development , some sketches and drawings and by looking at your vids, surface pro 4 and artisul 13 and 16 , and this caught my attention. while surface 5 and 6 out of my budget reach
i want the surface pro 4 because its a full blown computer and you can also use it as a work device but when drawing it has wobbly line , while artisul got a clean one, and this one is just..kinda nice. plus if i bought the drawing tablet i kinda got a second screen which is nice
which are recommended for the one i mentioned especially for pixel art? i know pixel art is just kinda placing 'blocks' but i also want to study some digital drawings as well

Brad, so here is my question.. what are your thoughts on getting something like a Huion pen display or just a touch screen laptop like, say the surface pro? I mean with the huion, i have to attach it to the laptop to use it, and can only use the software n the laptop...so would it not be simpler to just get a touch screen laptop like the surface pro and only have one device to carry around, or is there a real advantage to getting something like the huion kamvas??? Haven't had trouble with the wavy lines but im having other raging problems with the kamvas 13. Everything would be going fine and then suddenly the cursor would appear in the wrong place and draw a line 10cm from where the pen is
Hunion should put on a magnetic back to connect the stand for the Kamvas Pro. It would be a simple and smart approach to hold the stand in place.
i hope huion will make 16 inch kamvas pro version with this screen and tilt support

After watching a ton of your reviews, I ordered this one! Looking forward to seeing how smooth the lines are; hopefully there won't be any wobble that was mentioned. Hope to let you guys know some good news in a couple of days.

@@anroidanicver6783 So the short answer is: there is a little bit of wavy line if you draw really slowly, but not enough for me to return it. At my normal drawing speed, there's virtually no wavy lines and it works just fine (although it may vary depending on the manufacturing standards... hope you can get a good one!) I actually got a couple of discounts on Amazon and I think this screen is pretty good value for what I paid ($269). My main issue with it is that the calibration software is NOT accurate. The default calibration works better for me at this time (but I have read others complain that their tablets did not come with a good default calibration), and I do hope that Huion will address this issue to help minimize parallax near the edges of the screen. I think I am going to keep this tablet until I can get an actual Wacom because parallax and wavy lines are an issue to some degree on all 3rd party screen tablets, but this one is probably the best value for ~$300.

No one seems to be getting into whether or not the tablet works fine with a usb-c to usb-c cable. Has anyone tried it?
I have got me presale tablet sitting nicely on the table, I wish they add a snap on the feature for where you put the tablet on the stand. Dropped it twice when the tablet just slid off the ledge, strange that they cut space there.
The stand itself is a fine little-included feature, but if everythign could snap/hold itself in place. That would be nice.

Hi, I am new to pen display graphic tablets. So i dont really know much about it but i'm trying to learn here plus i'm planning to buy this product as i was recommended this model by the huion sales rep as she said this was good for beginners. Can you tell me how exactly pen display tablets connect with laptops? Do they just mirror the laptop screen or do i have to transfer my stuff from the laptop to the tablet?
Nerisa Lobo pen tablets like this one act as a monitor you can draw on but it doesn't have a storage the way an iPad does. You don't have to transfer your files from your pc to this huion tablet because it can't be done. It's usually plugged in via an hdmi cable and there's a power plug because tablets like this on this price range don't have it's own battery.
It can either mirror your screen or be used as a screen extension depending on your display preferences
