1:04 "I have, not a whole lot of gain for my tone" - That's the secret boy's and girl's for great rock & roll... roll that darn gain back and find your tone!
Awesome man!! Yeah they're a damn good new band, and it's so awesome to see them picking up tons of traction despite being unsigned! Happy learning man!🤘🏻
Well done with the tutorial, you have grabbed all the nice tricks and licks of the song. Can I ask you what rig and settings are you using to get such sound? I see you have a tsl, what are the eq settings? Are you using any pedal on top of it?
Nice job. I had trouble with the open D string on the chorus riff so I just play it with fretting the 5th fret A string and much easier for me LOL. That way I am picking the same string alternately vice jumping to another string, until the last note
Thanks man! Okay awesome! Yeah sometimes you gotta make small adjustments to make things feel for comfortable! That's the beauty of guitar! You can play the same thing in multiple different places on the neck!🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thanks a lot!! For my Marshall amp I had the treble lower down, and the middle a little higher up. For the Les Paul I've got the tone knob for treble on about 3, and for the rhythm setting I've got the volume down to about 3
Thanks! I actually got it as a graduation gift this year from a family friend! You could probably order it online... the necklace itself is called a pickbay
Good lesson. Learned a lot. You're a great player. My only suggesting is teaching bigger chunks, sections and phrases. Also play, teach, then play each one. You break things down really well but the sections you teach are really too bite size for my learning style.
Thanks for the advice man, keep in mind though you're not the only one I'm teaching though! There are a lot of people with less experience who watch my channel and want to learn, so I'm trying to make it as easy as possible for people to follow along.
Man, I Can't thank you and the rest of Dirty Honey enough for the support recently!! I absolutely love your stuff and am itching to get out there playing on a stage sometime in the near future!! Congrats on hitting #1 on the charts being unsigned! That's quite an accomplishment! Keep writing those killer songs!😉🤟🏻
@@karenforbes2272 thanks very much!! I haven't had the priviledge of seeing them live yet, but I will definitely be going to see them when they come here!! Hopefully soon!🤘🏻
New sub! Dude ty ! This will be helpful. I literally just discovered this band and want to do some covers. Been playing just a few years. Older, later in life beginner playing catch up! Check out my cover channel 🤟🎸 Ill be using ur lessons! Ty!
Excellent lesson.
@@johncarusone5635 thank you!!
Dude I haven't watched you for a while, but you seem to have more confidence and your playing has gone up a level. Keep rockin.
Thanks man! Always good to hear! Will do!🤟🏻
One of the best guitar lessons I've ever had from RUclips
Thanks so much man! I appreciate that more than you might think!

Yep! That about sums it up! Less gain and more volume, especially on a tube amp because then it really gives a nice tone! Work them tubes harder🤘🤘
One of my buds told me about dirty honey last week and can't stop jamming them. Glad you've covered this one, gonna learn it here soon!

That’s actually how John notto plays it lol
Damn that guitar is nice!
Thanks man!!
good job... thanks.... Who's signature on the guitar? Did you put some clear coat on there to preserve it?
Thanks! That's Slash's signature on there! I haven't put clear coat on it as I was not sure whether or not you can do that with a guitar
Great lesson Dylan thank you, do you have any more advice on guitar( Les Paul) and Marshall amp settings for this song? I love that 70 s tone.
Thanks a lot!! For my Marshall amp I had the treble lower down, and the middle a little higher up. For the Les Paul I've got the tone knob for treble on about 3, and for the rhythm setting I've got the volume down to about 3
That's mint thank you , great tone, I love that real hollow middie sound
@@neilstacey3249 thanks a lot man! Yeah this guitar plays a huge part in the really nice tones too with the Seymour Slash pickups in it
