Honestly- it sounds dramatics- this video helped feel like it will all be okay. I fixed the boiler myself ( with your help!)- and didn’t need my husband to do it. He has brain cancer, he cant do it, and my two small kids were depending on me. Thank you so much for sharing! The small wins in life are everything. Xx
Genius! We just got home to find the same issue, flashing light and no hot water. So followed your advice and it fired straight up! You've saved the day, thanks very much!
I can’t believe that ! Thanks to you I have just now fixed my boiler! Was running around trying to find engineer and when googled for help your video came up ! So thankful as i have been out of hot water and heating since yesterday.
Nice one mate, had same problem, followed your video and hey presto were up and running, when you're in Wales give me a shout and I'll buy you a couple of beers😁👍
Thank you so much, this has just happened to us today and with following your instructions we got it working! Thanks doesn't seem enough but thank you sooo much! 👍
Just wanted to say thanks for saving me a few quid for a call out. Just been and done this to ours and it's working spot on. The fan had a lot of resistance when trying to turn it by hand, quick squirt of wd40 freed it right up. Cheers fella 👍
It worked!! WD40 on the impeller shaft gave a few taps, sprayed more and let it soak in. After a few resets the impeller started to spin then stop. I applied more WD40 then kept trying. Then it fire up!!!
I've got a red flashing light too and no hot water. I switch the boiler on and off and it works again - but it's happening more now. Worcester have told me it's probably a diverter valve problem, but you've usefully come up with another possibility. Thanks.
Hi Michael, if your central heating works but the hot water doesn't it could imply that it is/was the diverter valve. I hope you got it sorted. Thanks.
hello, mines doing exactley the same , did you spay the whole thing including the plastic bits and copper wire square part, or just the metal bits, thanks
Hi Hugh, @1.45 you see the blade of the fan, spray that & all of the metal housing around it. You don't need to spray the plastic/copper bits. Hope it works?
No but i class myself as 'competent' which fulfils the criteria to do DIY work. I've got 2 degrees in engineering & have dealt with variety of gas burners and industrial boilers so really this is quite straight forwards. I don't mean to sound cocky, i'm just trying to save people money that's all.
@@Younus_93 in a nutshell younus. You’re perfectly within your rights to do diy in your own home and obviously competent enough to have resolved the problem safely.
