the kick animation is dependent upon the opponent's handedness and chosen grip. tie ups only require you to push the left stick up! you should keep the right stick horizontal
Thanks for the tutorial; tips are brief and to the point. Really improved my face-offs!!! I use the alternative camera view. Are the left/right sticks work the same when the face-offs are in the opposite direction (facing down)?
Awesome vids.. Question: usually when you win the puck I noticed your player immediately pushes it forward one handed with the stick... Is that just a quick hustle or how are you getting your player to activate it so quickly vs skating in a straight line for a few seconds and the game doing it""?
+The Drunk Italian ya, that would probably make more sense to explain (my bad) but also noticed there is really only one example in this specific video.. I think I was looking through your other vids and noticed it as well. In this specific example at 3:00 Anisimov wins the puck, and by 3:03 he's pushing it forward with one hand.. is this just a quick hustle (L stick press in)? Hope that helps explain my question
+Jon Ngai oh ok thanks, I see what you mean now. Yes, after I won the Deke through faceoff, I immediately pressed down on the L stick to quickly accelerate past the defense. Hope this clears it up!
Unless you have an internet connection with a lot of delay, then you're shit out of luck. I struggle in OTP and club against most centers but HUT/Online VS is fine.
+NYG Nation well based on the fact the Faceoffs fall into the Defensive category for player stats, my best guess would be that a Two-Way Forward (TWF) would be the best build stat-wise for faceoffs in EASHL. If you look to other players in the game, J.Toews and P.Bergeron (the two highest rated Faceoffs stats in the game) are both TWFs. It makes sense logically, although it would be nice to see each build's deeper player stats. Hope this helps!
I do wt you said for me to do and I still can't win. How do I time them? Also I keep on getting stick lifted or pushed back. I have tried doing everything. Please HELP!
+pahul gill for the timing, you want to roll your sticks up or down immediately after you see the ref move his hand to drop the puck. As for getting stick-lifted/pushed, you'll want to change your grip and type of faceoff to keep your opponent guessing.
Very useful, I usually go crazy on the faceoffs and randomly move the L3 AND R3 lol
Glad I found this. I got the game yesterday and I lost 90% of my faceoffs. I was getting frustrated with no tutorials in game.
Thanks so much man! Because of you I'm currently beating the panthers 3 to 1 in my season!
Thanks a million good sir. Was trying to get the deke faceoff done for at least 5 games... Damn coach instructions being vague on this one haha

+Cranberry Notions if your settings are set to "Camera Relative" then yes. If not, then no!
So just to clarify rolling is required like from 3oclock to 4-5-6 o'clock vs yanking down from 3 to 6 o'clock
Exactly!
How do you decide which one you use? Is it just what ever you feel like or is there a way to read what the other team might be doing?
Why doesn't anybody answer this question. I can't seem to win any face-off without luck... hate it so much

+Jon Ngai not exactly sure what you mean.. could you link me to a specific time in the video so I can see what you're talking about?

+The Drunk Italian also at about 3:09 Shaw win's the puck and he's already on the 1 handed skate

I'm Xbox one is the control basically the same as ps4?
By any chance do you know what the best face off class is for eashl?

Whats happens if they are fighting for the puck off the draw
Can you make a video on how to fight
+NYG Nation that will definitely be one of my next Tips & Tricks videos!
How are you moving so fast??
thank you Italian
thanks
thank you gonna try this. faceoffs are killing me.
+Eric Uber awesome! Let me know if it helps at all!
+The Drunk Italian yes it worked thanks alot. I was getting frustrated.. great video.
But how do i win all the time or most i cant read them and i lose alot
Try using the modified and push faceoffs more. They usually have more success than the straight faceoff wins.
Okay thank you
You don't sound drunk at all.
I still lose EVERY FACEOFF. I understand the joystick movements but my timing is so off
Is it the same on Xbox?
Yessir!!
" Barely ever works" I got it to work 3 times in a row when I first tried it while playing on super star
since when is Panarin in NHL 16?!
Not working i still lose every faceoff
Lost 23 faceoffs in a row on hard core mode
and when the camera is reversed ?
The left stick does nothing in faceoff.
