Hello. You are starting the upcoming cycle? I just got an interview which is on 10/12. Can we please message? I have a lot of questions on how your interview was!!
This is my style of learning.. I almost failed classes because I had to show up. I prefer to get up whenever go to my computer get my work done. I did this for my two undergrad degree and went out and did my clinicals, totally normal for me. On a side note Emory University in Atlanta had a online PA program that they did away with in 2005/2006 because enough people weren't interested in it. In my opinion they made a mistake this is the future they just needed to give it time.
If you want up to date information about Yale's online program please sign up for one of their webinars they have several a year. For example, they are transitioning to CASPA.
I haven’t obtained my bachelors degree just yet but this interview definitely opened my eyes to other possibilities. I’m definitely going to apply after graduating from undergrad.
I am a junior in high school and was really excited to see this video! I am also from Houston so knowing that online school is an option is a huge positive factor. I am still debating the PA vs MD route but I think knowing that this is an option can be motivating cause I can actually focus on learning without being distracted by all The other difficult factor (time, place, etc) Would you be able to tell me how difficult the application process was?
Thank you for this video. Is working discouraged for Yale online program as well. Or were there flexibility to work part time or full time? And is getting a job after PA school online harder vs in person program? Thank you.
Yes is discouraged like all programs. There was one student I know that worked part time from this program. As far as getting a job they haven't graduated a cohort yet but your degree doesn't denote you are an online student. It's a regular degree and you can walk at the graduation on campus.
I wouldn't imagine you would have any harder time finding a job, but most programs don't allow students to work while attending and it doesn't sound like that would have been possible with the way Macy said they had it set up
Other schools should create online PA programs! I feel like it would take away the competitiveness since online programs can usually admit more students than a brick and mortar program. It would be nice if online PA programs became a thing like online Nurse Practitioner programs are.
Is online PA programs r valid in US? How much is there validation? Can International students do this online & further get jobs on that basis? Kindly reply
A person can become a P.A. online! All the more reason to refuse to be treated by one. If you want to start an anti P.A. movement keep doing what you're doing.
The only portion you can do online is the didactic year, it's not like the clinical rotations or immersions are online. No different really then an on campus program they just changed the location of the classroom.
I am very excited to start the program August 2021.

Very insightful video! I’d love to get admitted to this program. It’s so daunting though that they only accept such small class sizes.
Great video!

Thank you for the information. I have a question though, is the online PA program at Yale open to international students? Outside the US?
You would need to check their website for the most updated information on their requirements.
