From what I saw she left him because it was draining her so badly that she was suicidal and the marathon was to raise money for his treatment because she still cared but couldn’t stay with him for her health. (I don’t think she should be praised but the title wasn’t enough info)
17:12 cemetery plot. For those that don't realize what's happening there, as the dirt settles it creates those holes around the casket/concrete form. Rain can also cause it. The dirt starts settling into crevices of the casket/under the concrete box, so it funnels from the top like you see in the picture.
This is pretty normal and usually gets fixed within a few weeks or less (in a proper maintained cemetery). Source: This happened to my aunt's grave and my grandmothers grave and have seen it with other grave.
As for the OP's post, charging $200 to fix it is extortion imo.
I'm pretty sure we can see the feet of the deceased, so there wasn't a coffin.

I'm a truck driver and routinely use bottles for pee. The bottle is always in my trash bin when I'm not using it to prevent middle of the night mix-ups and it goes out with my usual trash every few days. It's not hard to use the goddamn trash can and it grinds my gears seeing slobs give us a bad name. Not just with pee, but with dumping their trash in general.
We have a parking spot shortage in the US because, whenever a truck stop gets proposed, the local residents freak out because it will bring an environmental disaster to the area and I can't blame them.
I hope you pour the pee out of the bottles so the workers at the dump that have to sift through garbage don't have to..

My school is so low income that our entire school gets free lunch and has for atleast a decade. I honestly think every school should have that, because sure our food is equally shit, but no one is starving because they can't afford food.
Even during covid, when we were not there or there half the week, the school would ship food to students, and everyone got food stamps for their kids even if you didn't qualify normally. My school is shit in a lot of ways but they do try to make sure everyone can eat.
this is in a poor corner of the US, and not a blue part. its honestly surprising.

This reminds me of the time when I left my PC set up with my family while on vacation. I left everything on my desk unplugged so that it doesn't start a house fire.
When I came back from my vacation I checked to make sure that everything was there and the only thing that was missing was the Power Cord. I asked my family where it was and apparently they missed placed it when cleaning my room. I look all over the house and couldn't find it.
Now I have a perfectly working PC and I can't even use it because my family misplaced it and I can't find it.
I may love my family but there are some things that infuriates me with them.

As a mortician, if a family wants to move their loved one from one cemetery to another (being buried or have ashes buried) the family will have to pay THOUSANDS more. Just a reminder though, cemeteries have to maintain a certain level of tidiness so that family could report them to their state's mortuary board.

I looked up more about Part 107 and from what I can gather the Part 107 license is specifically for non-recreational/commercial use of the drone. It’s commercial if it benefits anyone in any way regardless of if money changes hands. Like a farmer using it to check crops or a search and rescue worker using it to find a lost hiker. Probably even uploading video footage to youtube for people to watch. On the other hand if it’s purely for your own entertainment then it’s recreational. For recreational use you need a separate thing called a TRUST (The Recreational UAS Safety Test) certification that just shows you know how to operate it safely under FAA rules and it can be taken online as opposed to the Part 107 test that has to be taken in person.
The TRUST certification started being required back in June 2021
Yeah, I have my part 107 license and it is only necessary if you want to use the drone for any commercial purposes or make any money with it. So the guy in the video would definitely be breaking that himself(if he does not have it) and he’s telling others to go violate the law as well.
Even flying purely recreationally, though, the drone still has to be registered with the FAA (and apparently as of September will be required to broadcast RemoteID).
I was taken by CPS twice, the first time, I was taken from my bio parents for a ligament reason. The second time was because of a lie told by my adopted siblings. If my grandmother don't have a license to Care for children with CPS at one point, I'm sure I would have been in a strangers house. Only benefit is that I don't have to pay for school lunches.

The landlord with the fee issue: Have a lawyer send him a letter. They can not force you to pay this way. They must accept cash at least, even if you have to mail it. Some states also require landlords to accept checks. But, they can NOT have their only payment be with card at all, much less online. That's why EVERY utility/mortgage company/bank/etc. has a place to send cash/checks listed. My friend had this same issue and the letter made enough of an impact that she didn't have to sue.
Not to mention I'm sure the "convenience fee" is illegal as well as that payment has nothing to do with the living space and is just extra cash they're likely keeping.

My landlord has used scare tactics to make tenants in my apartment building sign lease amendments that raise the price of rent.
The landlord practically never shows up, even when she says she's coming, little to no maintenance work gets done, the emergency exit signs don't work when the power's out, the elevator hasn't been certified to be in working condition since mid 2020 (I think, maybe 2021), and an emergency system in place in all 25 apartments hasn't worked for years.
Your trash chute story reminds me of a place I lived in that had a trash chute. They warned you when you moved in that if they saw an abandoned bag of garbage in there, they WOULD go through it and find out who's it was and fine them, like, $200 USD
3:00 always check if your apartment takes direct bank payments, with your account and routing number (the same you use for direct deposit). My ex also thought the card was the only way to pay and it had an over $30 fee, but I went to the website and there was also a direct from bank option. It usually has no fees whatsoever and it also means if you have to replace your card it's one less thing to have to change. I generally recommend always taking the direct from bank option when available for this reason, apartments usually have it, other bills are a bit of a toss up.

People not putting dishes away ticks me off so much. Either put them in the dishwasher, or if you don't have one or it's running, just use some liquid dish soap (which LITERALLY EVERYONE HAS) to wash them by hand. It will most likely take 30 seconds per dish, maximum.

To avoid long scrubbing sessions, if you soak the dishes for even a few hours, they are much easier to clean. Now, keep in mind that I usually am only responsible for MY dishes and nobody else's. I am single, and my only child turned 18 this year. I am very alone, and do what I can to make things easier for myself due to multiple debilitating and chronic medical issues. For most people, washing the freaking dishes isn't physically difficult. I am on disability due to the fact that for me, it really is. Something I learned from a youtuber named Aurikateriina, who professionally cleans, is that cleaning is a combination of three components: Time, Chemicals Used, and Effort. If you wish to minimize one area, then you have to use more of the other two. So, in my case, to minimize required effort, you use harsher chemicals, and you let the chemicals sit on the surface to be cleaned longer.

Hey! The free meal thing is still a thing, kids with parents that qualify for food stamps are automatically enrolled where I'm at, at least, but at the start of the school year you can get these forms to bring home; Never filled one out myself so I don't know the exact process.
There's usually a form at the beginning of the school year. With all the other paperwork. I've filled it out multiple times for my younger siblings cause my parents couldn't be bothered to do any of the beginning of the year paperwork.
My high school gave us IPads and told us that we’d be able to buy the iPads from the school to keep them after graduation. Just before graduation, they told us that this was never an option, claimed they had never offered it, and required us to return the iPads to be reset and given to the incoming freshmen the next year. They told us they would back up our photos on Google images and had us provide an email to back it up to, but then they used our school email to back up our stuff (which we would lose access to immediately later that day) instead of the email we told them to use. I lost so many pictures of my dogs, and my family, and pretty much every picture I had from BronyCon.
I’m still mad about it. Thankfully all my note were linked to my personal email, but still. I’m never trusting the school to keep their promises ever again.

Thankfully, Terro ant bait isn’t actual poison. It’s a sweetened syrup (think corn syrup) mixed with Borax, which is basically soap. The borax is deadly to ants, but at worst will give pets diarrhea. We had a cat eat one of the little bait traps, so I called animal poison control.
I used live in Madera apartments near Paradise Valley Mall, and they would only accept Cashier's Checks to pay Rent. It costed me $8 per check to pay them!

Regarding that refusal to provide insurance information, I believe that constitutes hit and run, which is a felony in many areas. Always get, at minimum, the license make and model of a vehicle you are in any sort of collision with. Turn said information over to the police IF the person decides to just leave the scene without exchanging information.

I recently had something similar happen to me. I went to university and did my work. Then it took me ages to get back home. Because the metro didn't work because the last stop (my stop) was shut down because the whole area was. They found a bomb in a construction site. But that's besides the point. I went home pissed already it had taken me so much. And I went to take the trash out because I forgot to do it before I left since I was rushing. I saw the trash can was jammed. Someone threw what I can assume was an old cat bed inside of it and left the lid open and jammed. We have bins that open with a button and have a pull compartment in which you put the trash in, close it and it locks again once closed. I guess to prevent dumpster diving and people getting hurt doing so. And wild animals from rummaging through the trash. So this idiot threw the cat bed inside and left the lid open. I tried closing it but it was stuck. The bed was too big and sturdy to be able to close the lid. I tried taking it out even if it was filthy but I couldn't. I had to walk to the next one about 3 minutes away holding the stinky trash trying to be home before my mom so I could straighten the house.
some state laws really make me feel lucky. over here in new england schools are forced to give kids free lunches every day (and other quality of life stuff), and the other states wonder why we have schools that actually teach people things.

Part 107 certified drone pilot here! The Part 107 is also required if you're going to make ANY money (or any other form of exchange) from flying your drone. Telling people to go out and just fly and make money without the cert could very easily result in people getting in trouble. The FAA is... scary.

At the (canadian) high school I went to you had 3 choices 1. go down town for lunch spending like $12+, 2. Pay $5 - $6 For school lunch (you could get a paper slip that would give you a free lunch) or 3. You don't eat anything. Don't get me wrong 5 - 6 dollars isn't so bad but if everyone in my school was buying a lunch (roughly 1000 people) they'd easily make 5000 - 6000 on lunches alone (not counting what they'd get per student, the vending machines and whatever else) keep in mind it's a school in a small town and I'm betting the teachers here are still struggling with paying off their bills and such

I recently had to lean up after a coworker who can't be bothered to do it himself because I can't do my job properly otherwise. Right after I cleaned up he comes back from his break and almost immediately made a bigger mess. I told him I just cleaned up and if he wants me not to flip out that he better clean it up. He xleaned it up because I don't flip out easily. I had a crazy guy try and stop me from going into work and only me (I had to pull a pair of scissors to get him to back up), I was late to work because two buses were late, someone swiped my lunch at work, and I was fall down level of sick and tired. All of this and I didn't flip out that day. (I was sick due to chronic medical issues and not a virus) I don't get outwardly angry, I am always a simmering level of pissed because that's how I have always been.

What's finny is I have actually personal beef with Nestle. Whether it is as annoying as mailing a check or giving them a money order, they are required by law to accept one payment type with no fees. It is illegal to charge you money to pay a bill, but it is not illegal to charge money on a specific way to pay. That is the "convenience" fee. A fee for making the bill easier to pay.

When I was younger I had the free program thing for lunch. I had to force myself to eat fast so I wouldn't have the need to throw up later, or else I would have to actually taste the food and throw up in class.
I remember last month where I found a full garbage bag stuck underside of my car for some reason with garbage still inside. No idea why but this was clearly done on purpose because it was stuck pretty good in there. There were some dudes with their parked car near me as well, still unsure if they were involved or not. I was pretty pissed as whoever did this could've scratched and damaged my car. They just saw me throw the bag across the parking lot (on a grassy area, away from other cars) as I was running late for work and didn't had time to dispose of it properly, which made me feel a bit better about the situation
8:15 Robin, its not that people are blaming him for changing the gas prices, it's that, due to the invasion of Ukraine and Saudi Arabia being friendlier with Russia than the US, he won't get oil from his own country or friendlier countries, but instead wants to buy oil from sanctioned countries that costs more. Although he is not the one changing the prices directly, he's the one causing there to be a shortage in which prices hike.

It is funny how US Americans complain about gas prices. I finally bought regular for 7,15 per gallon in Germany yesterday and it was super cheap. US Americans have even higher income, so they really are spoiled with gas and gasprices and don´t know about it.
