    I once objected at a pirate themed wedding. (It was all pre-arranged between between the bride, groom, the pastor and myself) when I put up my hand, and started speaking, the pastor pulled out a model flint lock pistol, shot me, and I fell down dead for the rest of ceremony. The laughter of the crowd was great.

    When I got married to my husband, we knew his mother would try to object because she had made it very clear that she hated me. She had dyed her hair black, done dark makeup, and wore a black dress. She pulled my husband aside before the ceremony and told him she was in mourning for him because she was losing him to me. We had the efficient leave out the part about anyone objecting and when she didn’t get to object, she stood up and stormed out. We’ve been married 12 years and have four children (2 biological and 2 adopted)😅😅😅❤❤❤

    1:25 I don't know why the groom punched the guy. The guy let him know SHE WAS A CHEATER before committing to a life-long relationship. How blind does someone need to be to not realize the wife is 100% at fault, who committed to cheating, not the random stranger. Even if your best friend makes your wife cheat, it's your wifes fault to not being loyal, your best friend just proved that your wife would have betrayed you with absolutely anybody. It's like punching a mailman for delivering bad news lmao.

    • @WiiGi
      @WiiGi Год назад +97

      @@twotailedfox3349 Yeah, that's understandable. I guess in my perspective, it's more of confidence in each others devotion. One shouldn't have to babysit their partner and keep them on a short leash. If my best friend compliments my partner by calling her "beautiful", I would agree and even thank them on my behalf.
      From what I've noticed, a lot of guys would get into an argument, or even into a physical altercation from a comment like that. I have no idea if it has anything to do with insecurity, jealousy, disrespect or stems from something else, but if your partner has positive qualities that others noticed, it should make you smile, not anxious or mad.

    I never understand why people wait until the objection part of the wedding vows to confess their love for the bride/groom. If you really need to get that off your chest, why not do it privately at some point BEFORE the wedding?
    To me, it just seems so selfish and attention seeking to turn another couple's special day into your attempt at a cliche Hollywood movie moment, instead of either just talking to the bride/groom privately, or accepting that the bride/groom wants someone else and moving on.

      It's an event, moreso public event where the centre stage is made for the two people who is going to tie their relationship together for a lifetime officially. There are rules and regulations involved, and the section is a formality nowadays if you consider the entire thing, even if it's a must to be included at one point in time before (because people will want to interrupt for any reason at all, and it's human nature, so that section is there maybe for such reasons too). If you don't want to embarrass yourself then you make peace with the arrangements. But if you want chaos, and just to be a deviant, then by all means.

    At my wedding the minister asked for objections and the entire sanctuary erupted into laughter. Neither my bride nor her family understood why they were all laughing. It's because everyone objected to our marriage. We were way too young to even be thinking of marriage but we knew better than everyone else.

    I officiated a wedding a few years ago and during the rehearsal, both the bride and the groom requested that the "objection" portion to be deleted. I don't think it had anything to do with possible objections considering that they just wanted the ceremony to be over as soon as possible. It was literally "do you?" "Yep." "Do you?" "Yep." The grooms mom was pissed since she paid for everything and expected the long wedding she paid for. Her and I got drunk later. All things ended up pretty good.

    • @SilentPsychopath
      @SilentPsychopath 9 месяцев назад +1

      Oh, he probably did have to pay out in the end. From the wording and Blue WKD references, this sounds like a UK wedding. Here in the UK, if it's a civil ceremony the couple go through two separate interviews, one at least 28 days before the ceremony and one on the day itself. After the first interview, the couple's basic details are put on public display, and any third party can write or email in to the Superintendent Registrar of that district in order to raise a legal objection - helpful, because if someone does it on the day it's a pain as the registrars have to legally take them into a different room and pause the ceremony until this is resolved.
      All this work is done beforehand, as under UK law the moment the couple say their contracting and declaratory words in front of the registrar, they are fully and legally married, even if they then don't sign the schedule/register. There is no cooling off period, no take-backsies, nothing except for a divorce. As I had to explain to one new husband, 'Unfortunately, the fact that you never really liked your wife and that it is less than 6 days after you got married does not mean we can make this null and void'.
      EDIT: Wait, got my numbers mixed up. I thought you were talking about the hotel wedding one.

You can always expect either having a good time or getting a great story out of any situation that involves a good amount of Irish people. Before any of you ask or come for me for whatever reason, I am part Irish and although I haven’t gotten any crazy stories for myself yet I have heard more than enough stories from family members.

    My cousin was getting married and someone from the groom's side objected because the bride had said a bunch of shit about our side of the family and how toxic and horrible we were. It was kind of funny cause the person who objected was so confident after meeting us that she had made everything up and was just trying to gain sympathy points from the groom, because he came from money. So they stopped the wedding and started to ask our side if we had done all the horrible things she said we did. And yep, our side is toxic AF.😂 They didn't expect that since my family is very good at hiding how messed up we are. But damn, the trama and abuse is insane. For example, my uncle left his 2 kids alone in a swamp at night because "if they survived the Gators, then it's character building". They were in Florida but from Minnesota. I think they were 12 and 15 at the time. He also bought a prostitute for his son's "first time" when he was 15. Also abandoned his kids in Germany when they didn't speak the language. I think they ended up joining a motorcycle gange so they could travel to Spain to catch their flight home. (Or maybe they were abandoned in Spain and had to travel to Germany?🤔 It was something like that)

    I worked in the Superior Court for 30 years. Both judges and priests would call me to ask about the legal requirements for weddings and being a minister.
    One day, I was at a pagan gathering when D.D. started to tell what he, as a legal minister (internet) was required to do:
    He: "The law requires me to ask if anyone has an objection..."
    me: "That is not true. There is no law that requires that."
    And so it went with him making a TV statement and me informing him and the group that what he said was not true. NO, ship captains may not perform legal marriages even in international waters. No, You do not have to say "i now pronounce you man/husband and wife. Internet churches are of questionable legality in the US because so many are some kid in his mother's basement having a contest of creating fake churches. No, legal churches do NOT need to incorporate and tax-exempt status is not automatic. And so on.
    Way too many people learn their Law from watching TV. We call those people 'future convicts'

    He would also go and yell to the bride:"I love youuuu, run away with me!"
    And then he would run away.
    Untill one day, one bride's bridesmaids were that pissed at him that they chase him out the church and beated the shit out of him with high heals they took off their feet.
    He never did it again.
    On one wedding the groom said :" I object!" whilst the priest was turned with his back to each for the crucifix that we in our church put our hand when we are saying our wows..
    The priest said:"ok, Pete, not you, you are the groom!"
    Meaning "you're not the one to object."
    They are happily maried for 20years.

    From a co-worker's account of a high school friend's wedding, the objection part was dropped and when she asked why, apparently there were rumors that an ex of the groom was going to claim she was pregnant with his baby. The guy who was actually the father got suspicious that was her plan all along, so he passed word along. My co-worker didn't want to dig any further whether it was to ruin the wedding/relationship or some scheme into getting back with her.

    She didn't object, but she was clearly upset about this. My dad's mom. For some reason she hated my mom. (still does) On their wedding day she looked like (dad's words) she had been told that they shot her mother. Probably she doesn't like my mom because she doesn't come from a rich family, because just two days ago we were out eating (we're currently on summer vacation) and he brought up this ex of his, which he had before my mom, who sounded like pain in the ass, but my grandma liked her because she had money. Then, about a year later after the wedding, I was born, and my grandma went like "good, you made us a child, *now break up with her."* And when she found out I was going to have my other grandma's name (mom's mom) instead of hers, she told my dad if she named me after her, she would give me the "family fortune".(which is just some olive trees, which I honestly couldn't care less about, growing up a city girl rather than a village girl) My dad, knowing her games, said that if she gave us the family fortune, I would have her name. Nope. She wanted me to be named after her firstly. Now my grandma and aunt (dad's older sister) are obsessed with the olive trees. Now do you really think she would give up her so called family fortune to an 8 month old?😑 Honestly I have no idea why I wrote all of these stuff, since they have nothing to do with the video, but I recently found out about all of those things, so I guess I just felt the need. And now if you really think we're keeping contact with this narcissistic ass b!tch, then jokes on you.😃
