I just went to a flea market yesterday, and I bought this book for $1.50, and then I watched your video today, and there is my book!!! Now I can't wait to alter it! Thanks for the tutorial.
Hi... I loved watching this! One question... I love that edge punch that looks like large scallops with large holes. Do you know what brand that is? Thanks!
I love this altered book that you've made. Thanks for sharing. I'm just working on my second altered book and I got a lot of fantastic ideas from watching this video.
Angela - this is spectacular! I love all of the colors - all of the sizes - all of the patterns. The pace of your video was excellent - I learned a lot! Thank you for sharing this lovely book!
I'm always so worried about using scraps that don't go together. All your scraps were very random. I now have the courage to just 'put it all together'. Thanks for your lovely video and the inspiration!
I love this video so much .you have no idea . you just made the whole BINDING process super easy for me .I have never bond a book and have looked @ several videos ,they have never explained it that well .and this book is a beauty. great job .thank you for sharing that .
I am watching your video and stopped to get coffee. I must thank you for the way you do your video. I have no attention span and i really like that you are explaining this quick and easy. ! Thanks. I can t stay focused for long but with this method if video i can! Thank you!
Lovely finished results. Better a bowl full of flowers than a bowl full of puke. As long as I can remember we and most neighbors had an enamel basin like that but ours was use to peel potatoes, pick beans/peas all sorts assorted daily chore. I have one I would be lost without cause I use it for all things constantly. TFS
My craft room is being over run by scraps. They're threatening to revolt and throw me out. I think this would be a great way to use them and keep them out of mischief. Now to find a nice vintage book to put them in...
Loved the way you got straight into the instructions whilst speeding up the vid. Some vids are so boring, half of the time you just have to listen to someone talking about themselves whilst looking at their hands - waiting for them to start ! well done.
This is really cool! I really like that you've thought about the pages and did it, I dwell on the pages and think too much so it takes me forever to finally put things together, TFS!
I really loved watching you create this journal. I have to say that I would not call it a "junk journal"! :) Do you just use a regular needle and thread to sew the die cuts? Also, do you cover this technique in a tutorial? Thanks for sharing!
Angela Blanchard Unfortunately, Marianne took down her videos. Her tutorials on altered books are often pointed to in other videos as resources for newbies, which makes it a real bummer for us because they are no longer there. 😟
REALLY beautiful! New subbie! Doesn't every family have a "puke bowl?" I was reminded of that Emerson quote, "The Earth laughs in flowers." Or in this case, throws up. ;-)
Great tutorial! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to share videos with us. Love the puke bowl story...I'll be relating that one to my friends. LOL! This "junk" journal is absolutely beautiful. :)))
Awesome altered book!! I love how you kept the first few pages and added them back into the book! I really enjoyed watching your video as I have just altered my very first book....waiting for it to upload now! :-) I did not decorate mine that much either because I wanted to leave that up to the person who ends up with it. Love your edge punched papers too....always gives such charm! TFS!
I think I'm horrified that you would destroy a book that is so old. Did you check its value beforehand? I mentioned this to a few book collector friends of mine and they freaked out!!
I love your journal.. Thanks for sharing!

"A puke bowl full of flowers." LOL!!! Thank you for sharing that little story, it made me crack up! Your book turned out great! Loved your video.
Thank goodness for your explanations. Following a fast forward video is difficult for me. Gives me a headache.

That journal is yummy and delicious!! I just want to flip through it so bad!! I love it!!
I don't understand.... what's the point of these?
Do you actually journal in these?

Enjoyed your video. Question about the paper...was it cardstock or paper weight? I have a hard time finding double sided paper.
