- Good day, Human Latiosites! As we enjoy the nostalgia of classic Pokemon main series games and the excitement of future ones, we often find ourselves looking for more. In many cases, we get led back to ROM hacked modded versions, which can even have better, longer, more intense stories than the original games themselves. To honor these games made by the fans of the series themselves, I countdown my five favorites for the Game Boy Advance, as well as a few brief honorable mentions. In the interest of full disclosure, Pokemon Resolute, which I did not talk about for very long, also contains the Fairy type and sixth generation Pokemon, though it still has the same grammatical errors as Pokemon Victory Fire. Also, please note that this video may contain a few spoilers for some of the plot and features of the games, as it is inevitable in order to justify my opinions of them. If there are any games that you have truly enjoyed but are not on this list, please feel free to mention them in the comments, as I have not played every single Rom Hack and always like discovering new great Pokemon games. I apologize for not giving any links or descriptions of how to go about obtaining these Rom Hacks, but I am contractually prevented from doing so. As always, like, comment, and subscribe. Personally one of my fav ROM hacks was in the 2nd generation Poke'mon game and it was you playing as "Team Rocket &going through all your endeavors as it were in both story, & in anime. You even have a starting point upon which how, why and when TR meet and joined up with Giovanni...I looove that Hack, it was a little glitchy at times but all in all it was different and has a decent plot.

My favorite romhack or fangame ever is Pokemon Mind Crystal. They way it forces you to play on set mode, no items during battle, and the great AI behind your opponents, actually made for the best challenge I've ever experienced in a pokemon game. It was much more fun than the fake way of making a challenge, where there's just a big level curve that forces you to grind. Mind Crystal just forces you to THINK!

Oh, do you mean cheats? Hacks change the rom itself permanently, while cheats change the save file and/or game temporarily.
Yeah, except I was looking for, say, for example, Pokémon crystal, but my starter is a Gen 1 'Mon instead of Gen 2. Or perhaps methods of getting money and u locking new types of balls faster to build bigger teams faster, or even just more experience than just 8 for KO'ing a wild Pokémon
Oh, for the most part, rom hacks are made into completely new games. There is software for hacking a rom yourself if you wish to make a custom rom for those specific changes.
LatiosAzurill Is there any for mobile?
I do not know of any software for hacking roms on a mobile device. The only ones I know of are used on a computer. . . sorry. Keep in mind that there may be some out there that I am just no aware of, though.

pokemen snakewood is easily one of the best romhacks ever made ... especially if you get all the references
There's a Pokemon ROM Hack game that I guess is still in development but it seems very promising! The demo is out, hopefully it's done but anyways it's called "Mirage Of Tales: The Ages Of Faith"
I've read the pokemon adventures manga and I can confirm that adventure red is very accurate to its source material (with some extra content and goodies of course!)
Well it does also take some small things from the anime. And apparently it has a mega eveloution(?) in it. If I heard a different video correctly.
In Pokemon Glazed, I didn't notice that Tunod was Donut backwards until after I beat the Elite 4.

play Pokémon Jupiter. its most recent release isn't complete but it's still a great game with lots of new Pokémon!! also check out Pokémon Hollow Mysteries. it's also really good.
I actually like the idea of the egg being a fairy type...anyways it does need to be cared for in order to hatch properly.

pokemon glazed has a really nice storyline.
Play different versions first before playing Pokemon glazed , that game is so amazing that after you finished it and play other Pokemon versions, other versions seem shit . my opinion though

Ruby The Path fuligin, rocket science, rocket strike, and rocket edition, are hacks where you play on team rocket's side (rocket edition, is a work in progress currently, but the others are completed)
Dark Rising is too buggy to play imo. The events continue to repeat itself, and its difficulty only rests in the opponents 10-20 levels higher than yours, nothing more.
I played that game and that real hard and one of the gym leader have meloetta on level 79 in pirroute form :(

wow flora sky has grown last time i played it,it wasn't even in english
Amongst my collection (145 English language GBA hacks) I have Light Platinum. Finding a version 1.0 rom for this patch proved to be rather difficult, but I got there in the end. Some hacks have to be patched to this particular version (like Broken Timeline - the next Ruby Destiny game) which is annoying, but I can put up with it.
my favorite pokemon ROM hack is adventure red and glazed
generation 1 starters=generation 4starters with reverse second typing...ex: Charizard is Flying Fire while Infernape is Fighting Fire , Venusaur is Grass Poison while Torterra is Grass Ground , not too sure about Blastoise and Empoleon though

Well I enjoyed playing Pokemon Brown, Prism, Blue and Crystal Kaizo, Liquid Crystal and Insurgence. And when I played Light Platinum...it felt like a game that had a brilliant idea but resulted in a game that's needed more time to finish. There were great content to please any pokemon fan, but it was completed like a last minute project and was finished poorly. Like just from the beginning of the game I had issues.

LatiosAzurill You said that Pokemon Flora Sky contains every pokemon from Gen 1 up to Gen 5? Is that true?! Because in the official page it only mentiones Gen 4 and Gen 5 so... ?
There are two versions of Flora Sky; the regular version and the complement dex version. While each version has certain Pokemon that the other does not have, every Pokemon from Gen 1 - 5 is in at least one of the two.

what a shame that adventure red.And anyone who's planning to play glazed I recommend getting blazed glazed instead, it has updated mechanics 3 additional legendaries to obtain, and increased difficulty, but otherwise it's the same game

Hey Latios so now that I see that you're still replying to comments. How do I get the emulator and games on my laptop or phone!!?? I really wanna play like all these games but I don't know how to get the emulator or games on my laptop. Well I messed around w it for a little and got light platinum to work but I doubt I did it right. If you have any advice I'd love it!!!
Getting games and emulators is relatively straightforward, just as you would download anything else from the internet. Unfortunately, I am contractually prohibited from giving links to rom downloads on this channel, so I really can't help you that much. If you know what you are specifically looking for, a simple internet search could help you get what you want.

If it is for a laptop, I recommend VBA; if it's for a cell phone, just pick whichever one seems to be best from the Google Play store. If it is an IOS device, though, I really don't know how to help due to lack of personal experience.
+LatiosAzurill that's good bc I don't have IOS. I downloaded My Boy and GBA Emulator and those don't seem to work but that's not the main topic rn. So you suggest VBA for laptop? Is that visual boy?
I don't really know much about My Boy, as the majority of experience I have with emulators is on my computer. VBA is Visual Boy Advance, which is the emulator I typically use. There are other emulators out there, but I unfortunately don't really know too much about them.

Drayano's only gba rom hack is FireRed Omega, which as I said at the beginning of the first episode of Let's Play Pokemon FireRed Omega LatAzullocke, which is newer than this top five list, I had never played FireRed Omega before, this I could not judge it (as I did say that I admittedly have not played every rom hack in existence).
