So cute once my severe macaw was on her favorite tree (me) while I was on the phone. She used to make a little sound from when she was a baby. The lady on the phone asked me “is that a duck?” I just laughed and said well she’s a mini macaw with a big attitude. After that I called her my “green duck” 🙄
Nah, they sleep when you sleep. However, I agree with the getting old pretty quickly. Macaws are way too smart to simplify regurgitate phrases. They can and will learn how to speak some intelligent sentences. Just remember as with anything, you get what you give.
It can be because they are just feeling playful or really excited. Also when macaws pin their eyes that means they are really excited, watch as they pin their eyes while bending their heads down.
