Thanks Steve your videos have helped me keep me and my family stay warm with your clear description of problem solving. Without the big bill. Thank you
Now I know why you have such a big truck, you work on a lot of different equipment you need a big truck just to keep the spare parts for all the different things you work on. Another great video.
i have a big truck because i like having the best stuff possable to do my job many years of work with into collecting all that stuff i carry .i have pretty much anything i might need in the truck ..almost every thing
Hi i recently did service to my water floor heating radiant I changed the expansion tank the pressure vale changed the Honeywell zones the zones are calling and the pressure gauge stays just 2 line above the 20 and staying there and i did flashed the water from all zone lots of dark water came out and i left it to open tell water color got back to normal but the issue i have is the first floor which got 2 zone both zone got warmed but the upstairs only get to 10 degree does not matter if i leave the tramontane all the way to the end or levee it on 20 so what cold be wrong what do u suggest please Thanks
yes i work on a lot of them .. there is basicly 2 waysto zone one cerculator with zone valves,,, or all cerculators with flow checks with makes a better system.
Hey Steven I thought big ole' spider came down to get yah when that head blew Lol lol.... Yeah that pump didn't sound to good either did it. Eehhh oh well I guess!! -Mike
It's written on their packaging material as well. It works by heating some substance that causes internal pressure to build up and force a rod into the valve.
Steve i've noticed alot of these boilers in you're video's don't seem to have air scoops or separators installed..? Whats the deal? Im my area almost every professonially installed hydronic system has one on the outlet of the "boyla"
well i am there to service the boiler not repipe his system that someone installed most systems i see don't have air scoops on them . who cares about and air seperater when you have a purge station???? that sounds like a comment from and aprentiss
LOL..I'm definately not a apprentice.. I'm just sayin it's good practice is all... i'm just curious if that is the norm in you're area.. The air separartor is obiviously not designed to purge the system for you its designed to remove "entrained micro bubble's from the system" over time etc.. I'm not trying to knock you i think you do great work... -Sean
plumbworker just so you know i work on a lot of old stuff if someone calls me for a no heat call,, i can't rebuild there system just because i am a nice guy .. so some stuff you see will be fucked up so don't get your panties in a bunch i do the best i can with old shit .. as long as it works i don't lose any sleep over it i have 20 more calles to go on after this call...
Hey Steve. Cool video. What made you think air was in the system? Was it the sound of water moving through the pipes? Also how does air get into a boiler that has already been bled and has worked fine for years? Thanks alot. Jeff
it sounded load so i purged it just be safe .its a well so its hard to get all the air out with wimpy water pressure .air seems to happen for some resion sometimes you just have to purge to remove it from time to time ..like they say shit happens
ahh my old boiler before i switched to gas was exactly like this one worked good except for tank leaking water into oil and sludge in tank lol had to get rid of tank
14 yrs of fun at this residence...love the videos steve, didn't see you check the voltage on zone valve...? zone valves aren't cheap anymore...! by the way how is the blowhard blowfish doing...saw your video about "the Blowhard", good friggin' laugh...keep up the fight and good work, would love to spend a day with you "on the job" training...!!
I have never seen him look for something and not find it in his van. He looks in one or two places and there it was. We are all different. It works for him.
Thanks Steve your videos have helped me keep me and my family stay warm with your clear description of problem solving. Without the big bill. Thank you
video is almost 7 years old and still teaching people. thanks for learning me something steve!!
Best videos. Do you come to Walpole for service work?

Those taco valves look like there made easy to work on. Good job
yes i work on a lot of them .. there is basicly 2 waysto zone one cerculator with zone valves,,, or all cerculators with flow checks with makes a better system.
Great video. My issue is backwards - my thermostat is shut off, but zone is still pumping out heat. Thank you
I would say time for a new pump. Thanks for the lesson my Steven!!!
lol homeowner said the pump is fine,, still running good.
Hey Steven I thought big ole' spider came down to get yah when that head blew Lol lol....

Mike's Random Channel thanks mike for commenting
I had one blow apart before and someone told me to i should remove power and wait 4 or 5 min so it denergizes. I dont work with taco often
It's written on their packaging material as well. It works by heating some substance that causes internal pressure to build up and force a rod into the valve.
Nice job Steven, that pump sounds like it's ready to explode. Keep up the good work.
Ray
the was on here last pump lol
Well done Steven...On the well pump motor, would you replace it
or just do a bearing job?...Thanks Jeff
its sounding a bit rouf lol
Had a bad taco once, was sprout, lentil and sweet corn. Good job i work outside mostly...
Are they low voltage? Pretty much everything here is 240v ac
the taco zone heads are 24 volts
***** well more control zones here in america are low voltage
Cool video. The stem on that zone valve must of been seeping a bit of water and corroded the actuator.
Nicholas CeeA shit happens

Steven, you will be back next week when the well pump quits! Nice job!
you might be right
Thanks Steven! Enjoy the weekend and the upcoming warm weather this Saturday!
Is it better to purge the zones with the system running or turn switch off?
yes better to have it off, else you could have very hot water coming out
Why don’t you describe what your doing with the Taco valves as your switching them in manual.
another Great job Steve.
Gary Schumacher thanks gary
Nice repair

You weren't kidding about wearing a hat all the time- lots of cobwebs in that basement.

You seem like a very knowledgeable guy, however, you need to work on your truck organizational skills. 😉
I have never seen him look for something and not find it in his van.
He looks in one or two places and there it was. We are all different. It works for him.
quit watching after the 2nd or 3rd swears. Unprofessional. Could have been good.
