Haha it happens more times than not. A constant battle lol. Thank you. I should share more of my “mess ups” since I know so many of us feel the same way about creating.
This turned out beautifully! As a fellow artist, I want to encourage you to believe in yourself and create with confidence. I love it whenever you say you like how one of your trees turned out. 😉 Your honesty sharing that pesky negative/full-of-doubt inner dialogue most of us battle shows your humanness (is that a word?😅), but I encourage you to speak kindly about yourself and work to your audience. I can guarantee you that viewers enjoy what you're sharing and may think, "what?" whenever you say you aren't good at something or didn’t like a prior video you put out. You and your generosity sharing how-tos are greatly appreciated! ❤ Blessings 🌷👩🎨
Aww thank you for the kind words, Janille. I was pretty unsure of this painting, but I’m happy I posted it. Even though it’s a bit vulnerable to share my insecurities, I also want to make sure I can be transparent in that I don’t always have it together lol. But I hear you. Negative talk isn’t exactly where you want to be either. 🌲🤍 thank you so much for the kind words of wisdom.
My mountins need lots of work but I'm starting to get what you mean by "dry brush" And I was happy to have you post this with all the "mistakes" and suggestions because I could learn from all of that and try out different things before I did what you did. I was basically satisfied with my end result and I learned alot which is most important. Thank you.
I appreciate the response, Maggie. It’s always nice to connect to other artists in that way. Glad I could help. And even more glad to hear you were happy with your painting. 🌲🌲
Don't tease......an update tree video? Yes please!!! ps....it really helps newbies like me see you make mistakes, experience his-haps or invisible gremlins yet push thru, work with it and end up with a decent painting. TY!
Being a person that loves Yosemite, I think it came out beautifully! I think the main focus is the rock walls, waterfall and the trees which all came out nicely!
I feel your angst. I paint. Sometimes things just fall together easily, and other times, it's a struggle. I think your painting turned out really well.
Thank you for sharing. Lol, I felt this way earlier today… almost ripped up my paper, but then took a calm breath and walked away. Haven’t looked at it yet, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Thank you for watching :)
😬 you’re not wrong! I really do need to post more! I’m working on a video now that should be up soon. Hopefully before the weekend, but may be this Sunday. Life is just nuts.
I love it and its beautiful I am waiting for your updated tree tutorial which you were talking about . I love your trees but not getting there. It’s hard for me to paint. Pls upload tree tutorial for beginners
I am very new to watercolour and sketching and new to your channel. I think this painting is beautiful. I have never been to the US (I’m in England) but I absolutely love the North American National Parks. Majestic and mysterious, your painting really evokes these things in my opinion. Lovely job. Thank you. I have subscribed.
Hello from across the ocean! Thank you so much for the lovely feedback. I love national parks. So much wonder and beauty. I’ve yet to visit England, but the countryside looks so lush and beautiful.
It’s lovely, would’ve been nice to see some color in the water down below such as a dark green or blue that might’ve been pretty but as always it’s lovely thank you
Thank you so much, Brooke. Yes, I agree. Water would have been nice here, and pretty accurate depending on where you are in Yosemite. I can't remember why I didn't add water lol. But stay tuned for future videos, because more water landscapes are coming.
Wonderful and in answer to your question about should you do another tree video ?...... YES PLEASE. Ive decided that my main problem, even though I can see y ou doing it, is that I dont know what Im actually doing with the brush to even make the correct shape of one of the branches.
Haha yeah, I honestly should have stopped and taken a step back before changing it. I could have built up the grass a little more. Perfect example for stopping and taking it in before making any major decisions. I was too eager lol
Thanks for showing the recovery at the end. I have been there many, many times and I appreciate the encouragement by showing that that happens.

I think it’s a beautiful painting. And the large rocks you left look natural to me. Sometimes we’re harder on our paintings than others! 😊
Haha we really are. I appreciate the feedback. I’m kind of a tense painter, but trying to relax a bit more.

Haha I hope you watched it!
I’m glad you enjoyed seeing my mistakes. Make them all the time haha
I love the different values.

And the old architecture! Castles and greenery. That sounds wonderful to paint.
Very nice.

Haha yes! Tree tutorial will be up THIS Sunday! :) I've really slowed it down, so I seriously hope it helps.
@@JackiePeacock Im excited !!!!!!
Both ways look good, but I liked it before you covered up the rocks.😊
Haha yeah, I honestly should have stopped and taken a step back before changing it. I could have built up the grass a little more. Perfect example for stopping and taking it in before making any major decisions. I was too eager lol
Is not easy painting Yosemite, I lived there for 10 years and there are many, many trees
Agreed. So many trees. 🌲 beautiful area!
