Having had 4 operations on my foot over 5 years I found I have forgotten how to jump ( sounds stupid I know) These will be a great way to remind my muscles how to do it. Thanks Boys.

Excellent, haven't done a lot of jumps for awhile. Will certainly start doing these exercises. Thankyou Marg

Thanks guys as I really need this exercise. My balance is not great and I am having muscle pain and cramp a lot in my legs, and don't lift my feet off the ground very much at all. Really beginning to shuffle! I will start the exercise by using the front door ramp rail when waiting for transport. 🤗

These are great recommendations, how many times per day would you recommend the jumping exercises demonstrated? Thank you.

Generally only twice per week to start with. You could gradually increase that over time if all is going well.

Thank you! I sprained my ankle 2 years on my incredibly high arched foot and I am frightened that I have lost flexibility if I have a fall.

OK. The ice skater jump I can try. Too heavy to do the other 2 at the mo. Thank you Team. : )

We encourage you to modify exercises as needed, but YES do give the skater exercise a go!

Hi guys.. love ya work. Q- I am a trail runner and can’t see why trail running with all the impact and leaking from foot to foot, much like the speed skater hop and rocky trail, is considered not beneficial in some literature. It’s impact after all! I get that ultra distances might cause bone breakdown to occur faster than rebuilding causing more net loss over time but i rarely run any further than 12-20km now, mainly only 5-7 a few times a week. Thoughts?

Hey Jan, thanks for the message.
The important factor here to consider is the time you take to recover after a heavy bout of trail running. With sufficient time for recovery, long distances won't cause your bone mass to deteriorate, but rather improve it over time! If you are running 5-7 days per week, it will largely depend on how strenuous those bouts are. If they are strenuous, we recommend you to take an extra day or two to recover with light bouts or walking.
