Vistara Airlines Reduces Daily Flights to Alleviate Pilot Pressure | India Today News

The Vistara airlines announced on Sunday that it is reducing flight operations by 10 percent, or around 25-30 flights daily, aiming to manage the crisis due to the non-availability of pilots and crew.
The airline, a joint venture of the Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, was supposed to operate more than 300 flights every day for the summer schedule. However, pilots called in sick in groups, staging a protest against the stretched roster as well as the revised salary structure ahead of Vistara's merger with Air India, leading to flight disruptions.
