From month 6 to 14 is the hardest part. You can not use hairties, because hair is still too short. But you also can not use wax, because hair is too long. The only solution is to wear a hat. After you're getting through the awkward stage you will be more happy than before. Keep strong and don't listen to other peoples opinion.
Today marks my 1 year and 6 month hair growth journey! These videos really helped when I was feeling insecure or tempted to cut it all off but today I can say it was all worth it!! Thank you so much! The journey to beautiful and long ass hair was worth all the awkward stages! Being able to put all your hair in a bun with easy is a right of passage and such an experience!! :)
Growing out my hair atm and have been in the awkward stage for awhile and everyone Ik telling me to get a haircut but videos like these convince me to grind it out till I reach my goal soo thank you!
Men with long hair don't get mistaken for women if: 1/ They dress like men 2/ They are framed like men, beard is an extra. You can't mistake a man for a woman (even with long hair) if that dude is 6'0 for 200/220lbs :)
Hey man! In August before I started college I decided to shave my head aswell and start the hair growth journey (I've almost hit the 4 month mark.) Throughout the months I've been pretty torn whether or not I want to go through with it because nothing was really motivating me. I came across your 1.25 year video about a week ago and realized how similar our hair is. I can relate to the thick and fullness as weird that sounds haha. The last time I had long hair was about 3 years ago, and I had the Justin Bieber look but much thicker for lack of a better term. I'm worried that it will go into that same groove and lay on my face the longer it grows. I have a friend that is almost a year in and his hair is going back, but he told me that you have to train it to go that way. I never understood how he meant to do that, and I was curious to know what you went through. I don't prefer using product, but if it's what I have to do to train it backwards I will. I've also had a steady job at a restaurant for over 2 years, and was wondering if you had any issues with bosses wanting a clean cut? I don't want it to hang over my face and disrupt talking or working during the awkward stage. The pictures you took looked like you were able to control it on most every picture, and if you had tips they were be greatly appreciated it. Sorry for writing you a novel above lol, but your videos have brought me hope to continue my journey. I saw that you were replying to comments, so I figured I'd try to ask you some things since we have such similar hair. Thanks for the videos and the help bro! btw; The beard is sick!
OMG what a novel! Anyway, manage it is so annoying, especially if you do a job where you need to talk with lot of people. The boss can "bother to you" but if you maintain it properly ( Tie your hair... Wear a hairnet... ), you shouldn't have any problems! The only way is to talk with him and looking for a compromise. Tell me if you need something else!
Shit, I'm really early here. Man I love your haur growing vids, I'm 4 months into my journey and watching your stuff really inspires me. You defintely put a lot of effort into your vids and your hair. The natural look suits you, keep the beard; ladies like a wildman.
This is exactly how i want my hair to be, i cut sides and back but still growing the upper part. Hope I'll get something like this, luckily I got good hair and beard line similar to Keanu Reeves's
I'm halfway to that 1.5 year mark I'm working tword. its amazing this journey how it changes your appearance and routine and appreciation for products like conditioner #longhairforlife
shaved looks awesome on you especially without any sideburns too, that is the best look ever for you, your a great looking guy and clean shaven looks so much better for you
All of these are comments are so positive towards you man. If you don't know what to do with your beard I say do what you want, not what society says. In the end its your decision and you
Yeah, it would be great! But the truth is that you need to adjust your look according to your "work"! I remember one day I was passed over for a job because of my look. If you're not famous or rich, you can't do or be what you really want!
You're right but it depends on many factors... If you need a job and you can't do without it, you need to adjust accordingly... obviously with moderately! Thank you for the compliment, I'm sure that you're a great person too!
Your videos have kept me going, growing from an undercut so the hair balance isn't quite there yet. I have two questions! First, how often do you shampoo/condition? Second, on the days you don't wash your hair do you still rinse it with water? Curious what your routine is!
Cool Video my friend. I just did my 16 month Hair and Beard timelapse last month on my BDay. It rly motivated me to start over with more long hair Videos in general to get out some help for other brothers on our journey! If its on me, you should rock that beard! Keep growing. Greets Celle ! :)
@@silentscratch627 yea I’m still growing it out it’s been almost 8 months now but I can only tie upper half. If you are planning on growing it out I suggest starting with some length on the top.
@@syedsolit3998 That's nice! I'm currently on month 6 and I'm able to finally make a full top knot. I started with long top before and grew my hair for 4 months but then cut it, those 4 months were the toughest but now I'm growing my hair a second time, I don't know why but growing my hair a second time is so much easier then the first time.
Either way. You can rock both the beard and shaved. Keep the hair length though because the longer it is the more styles you can do. And you're hair grows really fast! From shaved to this in only 1 an d1/2 years? That's pretty good.
Did you use any hair products? I've been thinking about growing my hair but its hard to manage. Also, did you take periodic haircuts to maintain the hair quality?
I shaved my head about a month ago , now I regret it sooooooo badlyy, I cant wait to get my lengthy hair back, any tips on how u made it through the waiting part ? ☹️

Hey ghooper can I ask a question? Is all the parts in your hair grown? Or did you cut some parts? If so should I cut it if I'm gonna grow it like yours?
You look more Manly with the beard but more handsome shaved if that makes sense. Next time maybe shape your beard and neckline for better results. Nice video /edit bro

Beard of 2-3 days are the best for you.
Just find the right length and trim it in the same scale every one or two days. Your jawline and the face structure is good, so you don't need to hide it with the beard. You have to promote it.
When leaving beard, it hides the angles of your face and makes it more round. With other words, it makes you in a strange way, more feminine cause of the roundness of the Face. Also, the beard and the rounder face makes you look fat.
So, you have to keep some hair in the face, 2-3 days , maybe 4 (max) just to keep it manly enough.
