Great reaction guys to a AWESOME Sabbath track.....I feel alot of the beauty of ROCK and METAL music comes from the fact that each element of the track, ie Guitar, bass, Drums, vocals all come together to make an awesome piece of music and No individual is focused on and often at LIVE rock shows you will hear Lead guitar breaks, Drum solos, and Bass solo parts and all this shifts the focus to each person showing their individuals talents....Geezers Stunning BASS parts, and Iommis stunning lead guitar, along with Bill Wards outstanding drumming, all dropped into a barrel then sprinkled with OZZY and his vocals and you have a recipe for a legendery band....

Underrated drummer - Chad Sexton. Check out 311's song Applied Science live. Chad does excellent drum solo's and at the end the whole band actually joins in. Seen it live multiple times and it always gives goosebumps

Yes, that is Ozzy. The bat story is blown way out of proportion. The crew was throwing rubber bats into the crowd, knowing people would throw them around (bats being associated with horror movies, vampires, etc) to add to the show. Some people started throwing the rubber bats onstage, and the rubber bats attracted real bats (because of their sonar). Ozzy caught one of the real bats, thinking it was a rubber one, and bit its head off. Once he realized it was a real bat, he was mortified by what he had just done.

Yes Ozzy as a solo artist had what he thought was a fake bat thrown on stage and bit it's head off. Secondly, all rockers at that point had the long hair, so Sabbath like all the others had the long locks. It was not unique to them.

Like it or not (and I like it) your becoming a metal head! I'm 58 and was born in NYC- I lived in Michigan most of the time but I went back home in 1979- and discovered the Sugar Hill Gang, because I lived with my Grandma in the Bronx. And I loved it. And I was a Michigan metalhead!

Black Sabbath the Godfathers of heavy metal. Vocals Ozzy Osbourne Guitar Mr. Tony Iommi, Bass Mr. Geezer Butler, an on drums Mr. Bill Ward. They paved the way for future rock an metal bands for years to come and they themselves ruled the scene in the early 70’s. My all time favorite band!! Oh yes Ozzy did indeed bite the head off a bat but that wasn’t during his Sabbath years it was years later after he was fired an was during his solo career. Fun fact also bit the head off a dove during a promotional meeting for his debut solo album lol. He certainly is a legend for sure an I hope you check more of his music catalog out because its deep an spans many decades.

In the 70's people used flat beer to add body to their hair. There was a shampoo that had beer in it, but just using flat beer worked best. I remember my mom using it.
