This sound reminds me so much of my childhood with my dad, sister, and older brother, in the mountains of Northern Arizona. Walking to our destination on the nature trails, and just basking in the beauty, and array of the colorful world around us, not a care in the world, just peace. One time we got trapped at the end of a 10 mile trail by a freak rain storm, and were forced to stay overnight (Luckily my Dad was prepared for things like this to happen so we had the luxury of wool blankets. as I lay in the abandoned Cabin a sort of Peace came over me, and made me the happiest I have ever been in my entire life, listening to the rain hit the old tin roof, sent my mind to a place it has never been before Zen. As I type this I am 78 years old, and my Father, Sister, and Brother have passed on, and as I wait for my turn to move on, I find my happy place in memory's like these. Through everything I have done, all the sights I have seen around the World, none of those memories could ever top the one, in that old abandoned Cabin, at the end of the trail, now that I am heading towards the end of my trail, I think back to it, and reminisce as if it happened yesterday. I love you Dad, Susan, and Jacob, I know you're watching over me, and I'll see you soon. The end

Isn't it ironic that we live in such a time that we have to hear pre-recorded sounds of nature? Nature truly is healing and I wish there was more of that around me instead of all these tall buildings, cars, noise and pollution. Anything Divine-made is truly beautiful!

Yeah but rain occurs in the city too! I lived 2 blocks from the el-train in the Bronx , Pelham pkwy station . When that train would pull in then leave, I fell asleep to that! When we moved upstate, I couldn't sleep for weeks!
I listen to this every night before bed and I must say it really helps me to relax and helps me not to overthink as much in bed. I also suffer anxieties and it eases them. Thank you for uploading this.
This really brings to mind a kind of composite memory of all the family camping trips from my youth.I can almost smell the wet forest around me as I lay listening to the tapping on nylon and snuggle down a little deeper into the musky warmth of my old forest green goose down sleeping bag..perhaps the Coleman lamp left on a little longer (thanks Dad!) so I can finish my comic book.The lantern's soft hissing a kind of gentle accompaniment to the vast deep night rain...sigh.....

This is one of my favorites. The sound is very clear & not muffled. It has a constant noise like water flowing through rocks in a stream and then blends in rain hitting wood or even a tent. Perfect mixture for me :) Works every time for sleep! Thank you!

Yes, I agree with you. Sounds like you have a lot of experience with this sound. Must be neat to be in a tent when it is pouring. It rains a LOT here in Washington state & when it finally gets warm enough for camping in a tent..it never seems to rain! :)

Most of the nine kids in my family learned to love the outdoors, but not from our parents (at least they didn't discourage it). I never saw a fleck of dirt under my dad's nails (he was very uptight) but one winter night when I was eight, our furnace broke down, and he was very alarmed -- we'd probably have been fine, but he got up and built a fire in the fireplace, then brought the whole family down (carrying us little ones) and bundled us onto the sofas together for warmth. I've never felt so peaceful and secure in my life. The whole family sleeping in one place may not seem 'civilized' to modern people, but I think it's hardwired into our memories. The only thing that could have made that snowy night any cozier would have been the sound of deep, soaking rain like this.
+flyinspirals my dad was raised in a family of 11 6 boys 5 girls my grandfather....hes dead but he served in ww2 he was afraid of thunder because it sounded like the guns and explosions he had heard in the war so my grand father each night when a storm would come through he would get in a corner and cry he may sound like a wimp but he had a reason to do this he was afraid of the memories of his time in ww2 he had frieends blow up into little peices right next to him from morter shells.i love the rin but everytime i heard thunder it reminds me of that poor man that supported a family of 11 in the late 50s and 60s by driving a coal truck everyday sun or shine cold or warm

About a year ago, my brother sent me a dog from abroad. He adopted it, but unfortunately as it grew big, he couldnt keep it, as most landlords dont allow animals or require extra pay. The dog has the loudest, most obnoxious and erratic high pitched bark ive ever heard (it's some sort of Belgian shepherd mix). I've spent dozens of sleepless nights, and have been awoken on average 2-3 times per night. Found this thing a while back, and ever since ive started leaving my computer on over night, and this thing rolling, ive been sleeping like a baby.

Rain and nature sounds always help me to write my novel, pretty ironic. It's almost like a sound effect! But this also reminds me of when I was little, and I used to sit by my window and just watch and listen to the rain sounds. It was so relaxing and it touches me heart deeply.

Not sure how long I've been using this video to sleep at night. I can't sleep without it! I suffer from insomnia and nothing was working for me. Well until i found this video, I've tried others but this rain sounds real.
I can't go to sleep usually but thanks to this I had a peaceful sleep

I love this! Sometimes during the night I wake up and then I hear the rain and fall immediately to sleep again, so reassuring! This is the best rain sound, tried the others and they are either to hard, too fast or don't sound like real rain. Thank you, so glad I discovered it.

About a year ago, my brother sent me a dog from abroad. He adopted it, but unfortunately as it grew big, he couldnt keep it, as most landlords dont allow animals or require extra pay. The dog has the loudest, most obnoxious and erratic high pitched bark ive ever heard (it's some sort of Belgian shepherd mix). I've spent dozens of sleepless nights, and have been awoken on average 2-3 times per night.
Found this thing a while back, and ever since ive started leaving my computer on over night, and this thing rolling, ive been sleeping like a baby.

Rain and nature sounds always help me to write my novel, pretty ironic. It's almost like a sound effect! But this also reminds me of when I was little, and I used to sit by my window and just watch and listen to the rain sounds. It was so relaxing and it touches me heart deeply.
This helped me focus on my homework!! I'm reading a book about two men hiking the Appalachian Trail so this was perfect. Cx
