Open Pod Air Filter Makes You Go Faster? (0 - 100km/h) Test Run On These Filters | NeedForRide

  • Open pod air filter is a direct replacement of the stock airbox and drop-in air filter. There's always a believe that open pod filter can increase your car performance because it's less restrictive on the airflow.
All these while, I always wanted to know if it really makes a difference so I ran a test on both stock airbox and open pod air filter. After the 0 - 100km/h run, I found out that the stock airbox is actually 0.5 sec faster than the open pod air filter and 0.15 sec slower for the 60 - 100km/h run. As always, the open pod air filter definitely performed much better at higher RPM range but the drivability is going to be affected at the lower RPM range.
But! Do you drive car at the high rpm range everytime when you drive your car on public road? Unless it's in the track circuit, that would be a different story.
Thank you so much for watching!

@@Physcoparaket Low end torque is important for street car.. Haha. That's why I kept my stock airbox. 😁

Excluding the cold air intake method, the stock airbox + high flow drop in air filter would be more suitable

Yes bro.. I'm running stock airbox with high flow filter. This is the best setup ever. 😁

@@baconfeverish It's actually stock muffler but modified. 😁 No tuning was done because I felt there's no difference after driving my friend's tuned Forte. 😅
