So excited about this car. Has all the ingredients we need to make a real race car. Instagram: @autobahn_mk6 Get some performance parts: www.hamptontun...
i am absolutely CRUSHED you rebuilt the head of your GTI to scrap the project for something new a couple of months later, however, it was a pretty worthwhile upgrade to the TTS! excited to see what comes out of it :)
For the power figures he's chasing. The GTI just won't cut it. I love both my GTI's. But they're still a FWD car. His VI was a big turbo build and while fun. Couldn't put all that power down reliably. GTI's are best from low 300 to high 400 wheel. Anything more, you want RWD or AWD.
Hell yes bro, I switched up my Mk6 GTI for an Audi as well! It’s so SO nice to have power available all the time without worrying about spinning through the gears!
I'm thinking of switching from my mk6 gti full bolt on tte420 w methanol injection to a tts. Will my parts swap over easily to the mk2 tts? What are some parts that need modification to fit?
@@dannyhampton I have exhaust, downpipe, IE intercooler, IE air intake, snow methanol injection, coilovers, 6pot racingline big brake kit etc... Will the switch to the tts easier than the mk6 golf r? As in swapping my parts over.
sweet i just won an 09 as well ttrs at iaai with 80k miles wasn't hit bad for 8k with fee's out the door and a rebuilt title can't wait to rebuild it
Awesome! Good buy :)
That car is going to be way more fun than u can imagine. Good choice!! Can't wait for the mods and content, spacers asap lol
Haha i will :p

Not a huge fan of the interior but really excited to see the progress on it!
Congrats boss man!
Wheels look good on it man
Definitely diggin those wheels on the TT. It just... Goes 🤷♂️
Thank you 😊

Yasss 😃
I got a mk5 gti tsi 2009 i wonder what k04 turbo from audi fits my car
Wheel specs?
Didn't want an R?
No, wanted to switch to dsg. Plus tts is not seen nearly as much.
This is gonna be a dope build 👌
I just bought a 2019 Genesis G70, let's race ;)
Congrats man can’t wait to see that TT EAT!
Thank you!
Danny Hampton of course brother, but if there’s any of your Gen 1 TSI go fast stuff you wanna get rid of hmu @mk5.ethan on insta
tired of spinning 4th gear, i wish haha
Car will be a weapon with that traction. Need a bigger wheel though 19s are perfect
Why bigger wheels do you think? For looks?
Yes for looks it looks like a shopping cart at the moment. You won't lose any performance with a 19
👀 congrats bro! my new car coming by the end of the month as well!
Thanks! And 👀👀
Welcome to the family. Hand wash only!
For me, I would have the spoiler up on highway and keep it down in the city.
Was your gti an lsd or open diff?
It had a peloquin lsd
@@dannyhampton wow and it still spun the wheels at highway speeds
@@romanzolotnyuk1505 haha yeah
All the best
It’s same car and everything except the drivetrain
Yes exactly why I wanted it! 😍
I might be a little late to asking, but what front bumper do you have for the GTI? Is it just the mk6 R?

Turbo will. What else do you have? Fueling stuff won't swap.
You'll love the switch glad I did it. Lmk if you need any parts.

I like the wheels
Ayo would that front lip on your GTI fit a normal GTI bumper?
I dont think so its made for the r
Glad the Gti will be staying around! But I’m surprised that your going DSG
I know i was very torn. Still love the gti but I wanted to be fast
Danny Hampton DSG is a good trans but your going to miss banging gears! After a little bit even tho DSG is faster
@@slowmk7gti488 its okay I can still drive the gti and my truck is a manual as well.
I love mine man! If you have any questions about it let me know! it’s @white.tts on insta and Quinn Kaspar on facebook!
Grats man
Though TTRS>TT(S)
But the TTRS also costs like 5x more lol
Not really, here in Germany u can get one for like 22000 € like 26000 US Dollar.
@@sony33flo
Cool story man.
Danny nor myself live in Germany. We live in the US.
Where the TTRS starts at 67k lowest.
I was to stay away from. This gen ttrs. Plus I wanted something that all the gti parts could swap to!
