Founded in 1975 as an ice cream shop, Jollibee is a company its customers hold very close to their hearts, tied up with memories of home and childhood.
The Philippine fast food company now has 1,150 outlets in its home country, as well as 234 outlets in 15 international markets.
The key product in their international expansion is fried chicken, which Jollibee has christened “Chicken Joy”.
Other iconic menu items include the Yumburger and the uniquely sweet Jolly Spaghetti, which were introduced in the early 1980s.

As a Japanese-American, Jollibee is one of the best fastfood I've ever had. Way better than most big American ff chains like McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's and White Castle. Peach Mango Pie and Palabok are so delicious.

Mcdonalds is famous to students who like to eat with their peers while Jollibee is a favorite of children who get to eat every Sunday after mass. Every time a family eats out with their kids, it is always Jollibee. There are other famous fastfoods in the Philippines but no matter where you go, Jollibee is always a hit. Also, Jollibee's Chickenjoy is so crunchy on the outside and juicy inside while Mcdonalds chicken is dry no matter which branch. One of the reasons why it kind of didn't clicked with the Filipinos.
Yeah its trueee.... When I was young when we are still in manila, we always ask our parents to go to jollibee after sunday mass. I can't forget that part because we are always happy and complete. Those times are so precious and I cherished it because it was a wonderful childhood and I am grateful that we still do it today even though I am now 21. Maybe I can still do it until the day I die.
Agreed. KFC's chicken was not crunchy unless you ate spicy. And the spicy in Kfc was pale in comparison to Jollibees. Same for Mcdo. Jollibees has those two beat in the fried chicken department. It's a shame where I live there is no outlet for it. 100/10 would eat again.

Having jolibee franchise in other countries is a pride of Filipino. And it's also a way for the ofw to be close in their home country Philippines.
I remember ordering bucket meal for dine in and the cashier thought I'll eat all by myself since I'm alone, well she's not wrong.
I am currently based in Germany and ofc there is no Jollibee here, the nearest is in Milan, about 6 hour drive. 2 nights ago, I dreamed that my boyfriend surprised me with a bucket of Chicken Joy from Jollibee Milan 🤣🤣🤣 I woke up feeling disappointed and sad..

The taste is different in Singapore, Jollibee at Manila is more delicious because of the top rice quality and chicken. Hope to visit to Baguio city again soon
Our city isn't exactly one of those big cities that have big buildings and other infrastructure. We only have 4 big stores in the city. When we heard that Jollibee was gonna come here and make an establishment we were so happy. It was what everyone talked about for the past few weeks. Imagine how heartbroken we were when we learned that the water in our area from our water district didn't pass the test for Jollibee's water safety standards. I was so sad. Literally the closest jollibee to our city was a 2-3hr ride away in another city.

As a Filipina, Jollibee is the best fast foods I have ever eaten. I've tried so much fast foods but so far Jollibee is my favorite, every time I go to a different country I always wonder if they have Jollibee and why they don't have one if there isn't one nearby. I grew up with Jollibee and it honestly I feel so at home with it.

I think in overseas, it's very expensive whereas in the Philippines, Fried Chicken with rice only cost about 💲1.50 and ice cream is averaged about 💲0.50-0.75

I'm slightly disagreeing with you with the accent thingy, we actually have our own accent which is filipino english accent which is a bit rougher version of US accent. But we use american english so I agree with you on that. 😊
Although the Lifestyle here in the Philippines is pretty much stays the same and kept growing unlike the US they just kept dropping.

I grew up in a province in Cebu and we only went to the city 5-6 times a months and every single time when my mom asks us where we want to eat we always answer "Jollibee!"... Now, I'm 18 years old and Jollibee is still my favourite...
We do have Jollibee branch here now in Canada, just 10 min drive from our home. Even my kids who were born here in Canada loves it, especially the Chicken and peach mango pie.
While I'm in the Philippines for a week, everyday I eat at Jollibee. From breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's cheap and delicious.
